I build my own 5” racks for four tubes. I’m old and tired, and they are still pretty heavy… The display company I work for builds them out for six tubes. Schlepping those things around at 11 at night after a long 100° day is no bueno!
@@skylightfireworks1589 Oh wow ok, because I noticed my 5-inch mortars fit very tight especially where the wooden plug is at the bottom of mortar, it kind of increases the diameter of it and makes for a tight fit. I just built two more but used 2x8's and cut them down to size to allow for proper clearance. My 5 inch mortars have a 5 1/2" diameter and noticed that my 2x6's had a width slightly under 5 1/2" which made them very tight were I had a tough time removing them.😂. The new ones fit nice with the 2x8's cut down to around 5 5/8" width. Thanks'
Very Well Done! 🎉❤️👏👏👏

Did you use 2x6's for the main frame? I noticed that the tubes are a little tight and are difficult to slide them in and out of rack.
@@homegrownpyrotechnics70-30 I am sure I used 2x6 yes
Yea. They tend to get very heavy.
Probably a dumb question but no boards horizontal to base for tipping support?
I actually have support boards made.
Just didn’t show them on the rack.
I use 1x6’s across the bottom. Two feet in length.

True that. I did use 2x6’s for the 5” racks. On mine, I believe it to be a perfect fit. My 5” racks are the ones I like to build the most.

There are people who should watch your videos.
They're shooting these shells freestanding their mortar tubes!
That's Dangerous!
Yea man, I definitely wouldn’t recommend doing that. Totally unsafe.
