My uncle had one of these on his farm in the front yard of the farmhouse. As a kid, I used to love to watch it work when we would visit him in the summer.
one thing i’m really impressed by every video is how you are able to perfectly reassemble it after all that time. I would definitely forget how some of the small pieces were supposed to go together
their last vid was made 2 years ago. something happened. no one knows what. but every restoration channel like old things never die obviously follow into their footsteps.
I’m 50/50 on the one hand it’s cool but on the other of the person doing the restoration wasn’t lazy and just kept sanding and grinding and polishing until the thing was mirror polished there would be no need for paint in the first place
@@pavloszimbrakos4410 aw honey! You would get your “oohhhh shiny!” moment, but then the item would slowly turn to rust. Why spend this much time on something without taking the step to PRESERVE the item one is restoring? At least you might be pretty.
@@capers72424 why the heck would that happen? The reason it rusted was because someone didn’t take proper care of it and plus it’s old from the 1900s it was probably in someone’s tool shed or it was some old man who left it in a barn to rust. Plus wear and tear happens after years and years anyway but NOT if you take care of it and make it shiny!

@@AbuMaia01 hmmm 🤔, well, he used to put at the end of the videos how much time and money he invested on each project, but for some reason he no longer does it.
Would love to see/hear a little about the history of these restorations…like when the piece was originally made, etc and by whom. It would a little to the already appreciation I have for what you’re doing. Merci!
It would be nice to see a video with all the restorations that you have done for specific periods/years, like a recap and show your collection of what you still have (which you did not sell)
Damn, I didn’t realize how long it takes to sandblast. I get that you’re speeding it up, but a whole day for all those pieces. Wow. You are so good. I’m sad because I have almost watched them all on RUclips.
What an absolutely ingenious device, as I kept looking at the groove on the front tire, and it never clicked in my mind that it was a guide for the actual hose. I had just assumed you would just pull the hose and since it has wheels, you move it around as needed(more work than was needed), obviously someone had a lot bigger brain than mine. LOL
Hard for me to nail down the most satisfying part of these restoration videos. Media blasting? Maybe. Seeing rust and grime get removed? Possibly. Seeing a beat up old item find new life? Perhaps.
Very nice work OTND, You must be in a great mood after all that time spent in the cabinet of satisfaction...lol.. You take care my friend and God Bless...

Can I make a suggestion which would totally wow me. I want you to swim to the Titanic, raise it; use a few angle grinders, clean it up, paint it, and then show it off at the end of the video.
I used to have one of these as a kid and never knew that was the purpose of the groove between the front wheels. I just figured it'd go where it wanted. 😂
you got everything great so far as making the video, edits and all. looks amazing. I think you just need more complex items to get bigger on your channel
I think the work is great as always, but this is the first time I liked the color and look of the piece before you changed it. As I said though, still excellent work and great fun to watch. Thank you!
We had a version of one of these in the 70s called the Rain Train. It had a more enclosed design, but was a great time and labor saver. They still sell a version of it here in the U.S., but I'm not sure how the quality is compared to what they sold 50 years ago. If I had to guess, it wouldn't be that it is as good or better than the one we had.
Your work as always is amazing to watch from start to finish, and the end result is beautiful👌. I thought it was a gadget with a nice design but it turns out to be some kind of garden toy. Very interesting this little machine, it is well thought out and well restored 🤩👍
Thank you 😉
We one of those sprinklers when I was a kid. Most youngsters wouldn’t even know what that was. Those were better days, bar none.
I didn't know what that was the first time I saw it 😅🧐
My uncle had one permanently in use in his back yard well into the 1980s. Not considered a relic back then.
My grandmother still uses one, funnily enough.

Beautiful restoration job you did restoring that tractor sprinkler. It looks much better and it works like a charm too. Excellent work as usual.
