Barret in these 2 titles as become one of the best characters in the series, from a street bully with hate for Shinra and a lot of black's people clichés to ... this. His personality has grown the most from the original series to the remakes. Instead of just a comedy relief he acts as a mentor to Cloud and cares for him. And in the end of this game you can see how emotional he gets about what happened. By far my favourite character in this whole new approach of the game.
There's 2 date scenes for each character and they have intimate conclusion if you have high enough relationship score. Also when you complete the game you can pick your date manually in the extra settings with chapter select , you can also manually select the intimate conclusion option.

When I played the original blind, I managed to get Aerith, meaning she gave Cloud the date she owed him.
