Besides, the media needs to call out hermetically sealed campaigns for what they are - the campaigns try and present themselves as popular and in touch with voters when the reality is they are in a carefully controlled bubble. Interaction with actual people and scrutiny from journalists would be seen as healthy in a democracy, and that’s the point.
