Klaus’s hard exterior faltering when Alaric said that the kids are learning to embrace their true selves without fear 😭 he never had that in his past. he was always having to worry about not being his true self.
I'm sorry but Caroline should have never gotten pregnant with them. The whole storyline was just one big gaping plothole. Why the hell did they kill Jo and Kai if they were just going to save the children anyway? All that does is throw the established rules out of the window and carry on pretending like they are still followed.

Especially not with kids who - by THEIR OWN RULES - should be DEAD! Instead of a reasonalbe storyline, we ended up with the surrogacy-garbage, that the writers CLEARLY didn't think through.

Vampires because of their undead status and not being human can't procreate (have children), however there's a workaround to that. It made sense for Kai to kill Jo to prevent her from giving birth to Lizzie and Josie; theoretically because they would be next in line (after Luke and Liv) to lead the Gemini Coven. The coven were two steps ahead of Kai and magically transferred the twins from Jo's womb to Caroline's. They figured that Caroline being immortal would keep them alive and safe.The drawback to it is that because Caroline is supernatural the twins have to constantly siphon the magic from her body to stay alive which could kill her. Wdym by established rules? That episode in Legacies where the twins meet their biological mom was crazy; I know it wasn't really her but still a crazy episode.

What doesn't make ANY SENSE, is that Lizzie and Josie COULD be saved. Not with the way they ended season 6. Jo and Ric only learned that themselves in the episode before her death and they specifically wanted to keep it from the coven. They didn't want the Gemini taking the girls away from them. You could make the argument, that they could magically sense the pregnancy, but even that should be ESTABLISHED for it to work. They actually had the perfect opportunity for that in the scene where Jo talks to her father before the wedding. One lingering glance down at her stomach would have been enough. They wasted it. 2. The way they killed Jo. Kai killed Jo by stabbing her literally through the stomach MULTIPLE times. You can actually see the tip of the blade peaking out of her stomach and the blood stains on the front of her dress are further proof. You are right, it makes a twisted sort of sense for him to do his this way. He wanted to ensure Jo and the babies were really dead. How the hell are two unborn kids supposed to survive that? ESPECIALLY because the crappy nonsensical pregnancy-transfer only happened AFTER that. If that should have made even the slightest bit of sense, he should have slit her throat or stabbed her in the heart. Basically ANYTHING but stab her through the stomach. To me, Lizzie and Josie could have only survived what we were shown if the pregnancy was transfered beforehand and they DIDN'T! Why would they? As far as anyone knew, Kai was locked in a 1903 prison-world. 3. Gemini die with their leader. This is the biggie. The most prominent thing established about the Gemini is the life-link between the coven and their leader. If the leader dies, so do the others. In the season 6 finale Kai killed himself to turn into a heretic. He came back because of the vampire blood in his system and Joshua, Liv and the rest (as far as we knew back then) died. All fine and dandy, the established rules have been honored. The reveal of Caroline's pregnancy is a GIANT slap in the face of the established material. The girls ARE Gemini, being carried via surrogacy and cloaked doesn't change that. There is the possibillity of them only getting linked to their leader after their birth, but how could Kai - and appaerently ONLY Kai (Jo herself thought it was food poisoning at the time) - sense his sister's pregnancy then? That's not the only time they just completely disregard that rule without a proper explanation. In Legacies Alaric beheads Kai without ANY consequenses to Josie and Lizzie. Correct me, if I'm wrong, but isn't Kai technically still the coven leader?

The fact that klaus and Alaric can have a civil conversation since they both understand since they are both parents and deep down klaus knew everything Alaric was saying about hope was true which is why I think klaus and Haley talked about taking her there at the end of this season the only way Haley would’ve known about it was if they talked about it deeply and Haley agreed with him

Alaric is just the best person. He's suffered so much and lost so much, yet he still has this endless well of compassion. Even for people who have hurt him in horrible ways.
I hate how they retconned this scene in legacies. Here Alaric says Hope will always be welcome at his school. In legacies, they put a flashback of him hesitating saying it would be too big of a risk to take her in because her psychological report showed red flags. Of course it would have red flags based on all the trauma she's gone through at just 7 years old. It's not a reason to give up on her since the purpose of the school was to guide young supernaturals to use their abilities for good.
@@roxanajohnson9310 At 7 years old Hope would have had trauma from her experience with the Hollow and her family splitting up, but Alaric has been shown in legacies to take in students with worse trauma and more damaged. Alyssa accidentally murdered her own parents when she was around Hope's age, but Alaric took her in. And later on Alaric takes in Kaleb who murdered students in a high school. He didn't hesitate to take them in.
Its rather upsetting that later seasons in legacies show that Alaric never actually meant what he said here, was just using Hope for protection of his daughters, had trouble trusting Hope and always afraid of the worst out of her, legacies very much character assassinated Alaric.
This feels painful to rewatch after the Alaric has started to treat Hope in the Legacies....SMH a relationship ruined because of the fear of her being too powerful.
And then he proceeds to refuse hope being enrolled into the school after her psychology test, and only agreed to let her in to keep his own daughters safe.

We thought in TVD that Bonnie was one of the strongest witches so far then we met Davina and so on we met Freya. who's to say there won't be someone like hope. Maybe a student in the boarding school went through the same situation as hope in another part of the world and Alaric and caroline (maybe not knowing much then) learned to help as much as they could. Maybe through the experience they could help hope

I think having some one visit her from the school to teach her some things would be beneficial. What if something happens to Freya or Vincent,then what? Other witch kids prodigies or not are ordinary when compared to Siphoners or Hope. Hope is proud to be a witch, but the vampire and werewolf traits haven't truely kicked in or they are there she sorta knows about it. Klaus,Hayley and family can't keep her from the world. They're others, and not all of will be enemies.

Geraldine Peña Aguire Well if Hope loses control of her powers, which she eventually will, they will have no choice but to take her to the Salvatore Boarding School to master her abilities. They can't keep her in New Orleans forever and try and have her learn her powers there all the time. Especially when he's too powerful that she could cause total damage if her powers are uncontrollable.
This is the problem for me. It's not remotely believable that this school and this baby vampire are more capable of helping Hope control her powers than her 1000-year old aunt who has had a ton more experience than Caroline has.
And what does that have to do with anything? Having special kids doesn't suddenly make her more qualified than Freya to teach Hope how to be a Mikaelson witch.

Alaric is just the best person. He's suffered so much and lost so much, yet he still has this endless well of compassion. Even for people who have hurt him in horrible ways.
In this scene yes, later in legacies its shown that he is not the best person, headmaster or father.

I hate how they retconned this scene in legacies. Here Alaric says Hope will always be welcome at his school. In legacies, they put a flashback of him hesitating saying it would be too big of a risk to take her in because her psychological report showed red flags. Of course it would have red flags based on all the trauma she's gone through at just 7 years old. It's not a reason to give up on her since the purpose of the school was to guide young supernaturals to use their abilities for good.
I don’t think he realized how damaged she was until they evaluated her and realized that she was extremely dangerous
@@roxanajohnson9310 At 7 years old Hope would have had trauma from her experience with the Hollow and her family splitting up, but Alaric has been shown in legacies to take in students with worse trauma and more damaged. Alyssa accidentally murdered her own parents when she was around Hope's age, but Alaric took her in. And later on Alaric takes in Kaleb who murdered students in a high school. He didn't hesitate to take them in.
I mean that memory was probably right before he decided he will accept her. Maybe he had a change of heart

Its rather upsetting that later seasons in legacies show that Alaric never actually meant what he said here, was just using Hope for protection of his daughters, had trouble trusting Hope and always afraid of the worst out of her, legacies very much character assassinated Alaric.
This feels painful to rewatch after the Alaric has started to treat Hope in the Legacies....SMH a relationship ruined because of the fear of her being too powerful.

We thought in TVD that Bonnie was one of the strongest witches so far then we met Davina and so on we met Freya. who's to say there won't be someone like hope. Maybe a student in the boarding school went through the same situation as hope in another part of the world and Alaric and caroline (maybe not knowing much then) learned to help as much as they could. Maybe through the experience they could help hope

I think having some one visit her from the school to teach her some things would be beneficial. What if something happens to Freya or Vincent,then what? Having contect with others similar to her will help. Alaric's daughters aren't ordinary witches. They take power to get their powers, apparently siphoners are rare witches. Other witch kids prodigies or not are ordinary when compared to Siphoners or Hope. Hope is proud to be a witch, but the vampire and werewolf traits haven't truely kicked in or they are there she sorta knows about it. Klaus,Hayley and family can't keep her from the world. They're others, and not all of will be enemies.

Geraldine Peña Aguire Well if Hope loses control of her powers, which she eventually will, they will have no choice but to take her to the Salvatore Boarding School to master her abilities. They can't keep her in New Orleans forever and try and have her learn her powers there all the time. Especially when he's too powerful that she could cause total damage if her powers are uncontrollable.
This is the problem for me. It's not remotely believable that this school and this baby vampire are more capable of helping Hope control her powers than her 1000-year old aunt who has had a ton more experience than Caroline has.
