    Hey hey, great vid thanks. Did you stop by the Duotone stand. Apparently they have some new boards this year. Interested in the blur dlab. Yew!

      @@jandawaya Thank you🤙🏾. Yes, I did. The most interesting board to was the new pro voke. It is a nice flat and slim strapless freestyle board.

    Good video! How would you rate the Luke's Leaf compared to the Core 720 3 or F-one magnet. I'm on the market for a freestyle board and can't decide (and unfortunately, not many places have any of them on demo 😢)

    • @Surf_Life
      @Surf_Life  Месяц назад +1

      Great question 🤙🏾🤩 The biggest difference to the Core 720 and the F One Magnet is the rocker and the outline, when we are talking about the shape. The Luke‘s Leaf has more rocker and the outline is more curvy, especially compared to the 720. And the Magnet has way less volume compared to the Luke’s Leaf.
      I think, the Luke’s Leaf is the most extreme board from these 3. It is for stronger winds and for experienced riders who mean it seriously with strapless freestyle and jumping.
      Did you already customise the Luke’s Leaf on Appletreesurfboards.com? You can do it, just to see the different options. It’s very interesting 🤙🏾🤩.
      In the end, it is a personal preference, because people perceive boards differently when they ride it.
      If you want to support an innovative brand which takes care about a future oriented and an eco friendly production, then go for Appletree (this is my personal opinion 😊) .
      I hope that helps you whit your decision. Enjoy the ocean and your next ride🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾😊

      @Surf_Life Curved outline and bigger rocker means less stability but probably behaves better in waves and is more nimble in turns. My guess is the 720 is probably more forgiving for freestyle due to its parallel outline and seems to have some rocker still compared to the Duotone Voke which is super flat - too flat in my opinion hence I'm not even considering it.

    How do those stack against such a popular board as Duotone Whip DLab/SLS?

    • @Surf_Life
      @Surf_Life  Месяц назад +1

      Valid question 🤙🏾😊. Well, I like the Whip and it suits the need of many riders, so why going for an Appletree Surfboard? You can customise your unique board on Appletreesurfboards.com with the colour, design, fin system, EVA deck and of course the size and Appletree builds this board especially for you.
      In addition, Appletree is a future oriented brand which take care about our environment, has good working conditions for the people in their factory in Portugal and build the strongest and most durable boards ever.
      So, how does it stack to all other brands? Mass production vs. Unique handmade piece.
      I hope, that answers your question. Enjoy your next ride…🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🤩

      @@Surf_Life I tried their configurator, price can skyrocket quickly really above 1500eur. What is your daily driver for strapless freestyle, Malus Domestica?
      And you just sounded like Appletree salesman 😉😆

    • @Surf_Life
      @Surf_Life  Месяц назад +2

      @@mikemiller774 yes, the Malus Domestica, as I have lots of my Sessions between 18 - 22 Knots and this boards rides upwind like a dream and you can ride sooooo many waves with it.
      I am NOT a salesman 😎! I am just an enthusiastic strapless kiter, tried a lot of surf board and share my experience and impressions. I like the future oriented approach from Appletree and this is, why I speak so positive.
      To be honest many Surfboards ride great, they are all expensive but if I have the chance to invest in our environment and support a great tiny company with lovely people, I do it🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾😊.
      Whatever board you get… enjoy your ride🤙🏾😎

    Any thoughts on the construction? Would you consider the hex skin carbon ultralight for freestyle? I've been given the Applino V2 white line to demo and I find it surprisingly heavy.

    • @Surf_Life
      @Surf_Life  Месяц назад

      @@sebalias7720 Excellent question 👍🏽😊. Well, I am personally not a carbon fan for surf boards, so I’d go for the S+ fiber construction. If weight is very important for you, the carbon construction could be your choice. Enjoy your day🤙🏾😎
