      Thank you for your kind comments, so glad you enjoyed it. I love the Broads area too . Lived here years, but only now investigating the rivers. Norwich by boat was incredible. Thank you for watching.🛥⛵️📸

    This is a really relaxing video. Lovely views and spectacular buildings. Maybe one day that rusty old barge will be someones luxury floating home. 🏡🎶👍

      @NewnameSameme  3 года назад

      The barge has probably seen better days. I only like the rust, I’m not sure I would want to live on It.
      Norwich does have some spectacular buildings. In another video I’ll walk further along and show you the merchants properties.

      Isn’t Norwich incredibly beautiful. Have you been along the Wensum by boat? There are lots of steps, tunnels, unknown buildings etc etc etc. I can’t wait to go back and film again.

    Hi yet another great video and a very interesting boat trip, with lots to see. Looks like you had a bit of rain,,and it did look as little choppey at times,Your
    Not strange, likeing rustty things,, looking forward to your next video,,,best wishes to you.

      Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it. It did rain but it didn’t stop me filming from the cover of the boat.
      You can edit rust to bring out hidden colours. That’s what I like about it. I’ve edited the boat but nothing happened sadly. Never mind . Thanks for watching.

      Thank you so much.
      After today a lot of places are shut, so I’m not sure what videos I’ll be able to make. The private boats will still be about and I think one hire yard has boats out for one more week. Then it’s back to footpaths, the beach, church ruins and bird hide filming….. everything most of my subscribers don’t like sadly 📸

      @@NewnameSameme I think I commented a few days ago that I had only just found your channel. One of the first videos I saw was " Driving From Womack Water To Martham". I really enjoy the driving videos perhaps you could do some more during the winter months.

      @@ancietman oh fabulous thank you. I was under the impression people didn’t like those ones. The majority only want to see boats but I’m happy to film more if that’s what you enjoy. If it’s not on my main channel, I may put it on my 2nd channel NewName SameMe
      Sounds the same but written differently 😀

    What a pity you didn't have a nice sunny day like your steam launch a couple of days ago. Still, an enjoyable trip, for us anyway, and parts of the Broads that I have never visited. Thank you very much. I hope you thought it was worthwhile in spit of the weather.

    • @NewnameSameme

      It was definitely worthwhile, absolutely. I film in all weathers 🤣. I’m so pleased I was able to show you places you’ve not visited before. Norwich is fabulous and I plan to film there walking along the river paths and I’ll continue this video on with a part 2. I need a winter project 😅. Glad you enjoyed it, thank you.

    At 18.36, the old wooden tower i believe was used by coasters to moor up to when waiting for the tide to go into Norwich. Don`t forget, Norwich used to be a sea port, and i can remember seeing coasters on the Yare in the 80s.

    • @NewnameSameme
      @NewnameSameme  3 года назад +1

      Oh goodness, yes . I didn’t think of that. Someone else said it was for mooring but I assumed for a company on the banks there. Makes sense now. Thank you. Such a shame the boats don’t still go into Norwich.

      @@NewnameSameme From 13th November, (2 weeks from yesterday), we`ll be aboard our boat Lightning, and will be out on the rivers for the first part of the week, but out in the car Christmas shopping in Lathams and Norwich for the last few days. We`ll be sticking to the southern rivers, we`re based in Brundall. But when we`re out in the car, if you`re out filming in the area, how will we recognise you if we see you?.

    • @NewnameSameme
      @NewnameSameme  3 года назад +2

      Look for a little 🚗 ka, but as the hire boats will have ended I won’t be out filming as many days. If the weather is like today I won’t be out either. (Winds and torrential rain. ) probably best to message me nearer the time as I do work. Or even the day you go to Latham’s if it’s not raining. Probably the best I can say is Ludham on a Sunday 10-2 as a guide. Hope that helps 😀 have a great time. 🛥

    You was nearly correct ,Colmans bought Robinsons ,then Colmans who became Reckitt and Colmans was taken over by Unilever .Colmans mustard is now produced in Burton on trent and in Germany.

      Bill, thank you for correct information . Very much appreciated. Is the building unused now?
      These companies keep changing names …. A bit like May and Baker in Norwich. It will always be that name to me. Who knows what it is now.
      ??? Thank you

      Thank you Julie. I loved all the buildings as you enter Norwich. Colman’s factory was gigantic!
      Yes the boat was from there. Small, but did the job and was electric so perfect for the heron. 🛥📸

    that was a lovely trip ,thankyou for taking us to other side of the bridge at norwich , ive never been through there , did boats used to go through pulls ferry ? , ive not been through that low bridge either where you ended since i was a youngster lol , i did'nt know they had day boats .

    • @NewnameSameme
      @NewnameSameme  3 года назад +2

      Thank you Lori, so glad you enjoyed the video.
      We could have gone further as the sign only refers to cruisers not going beyond Bishops bridge apparently. Technically we could have gone as far as The Ribs of Beef pub at the waters edge beside Fye Bridge.
      The water did go through Pulls Ferry once upon a time. Quite a distance up into the Cathedral close. The stone came from France to build the Cathedral and they got the boat as close as possible. 1772 it was filled in and made into what we see today.
      The low bridge goes through to Thorpe Green and that is where the day boats are.
      When I asked what people would like me to film in the winter, Norwich was the most popular request, so this is the start of the videos….. so we have just arrived in Norwich 😉 I’ll probably start my next video on Norwich at Pulls Ferry. A few weeks yet though…
