Great video! i replace the battery and had to replace front camera due accidentally i damaged camera sensor cable while it felt and tore the cable. this video was very helpful. Thanks a lot.🙏🙏
The reason you are getting a black screen or phone won't turn on is because the battery connector wasn't disconnected (video doesn't show him disconnecting it) and you probably shorted out the logic board. The battery should always be disconnected when working on any devices like cell phones and tablets.
So I have a question I want to buy a used iPhone 8 but the front camera is non working if I replace the front camera will the touch id and home button still work because I changed the screen on my iphone 7 and it had a front camera already on it and the home button stopped working so I had to put the old camera but on it
Hi! I have problems with my iPhone 8, i accidently ripped off ribbon cable of front cam and proximity sensor. Lcd cables are intact, but when i try to boot the phone, it boots but nothing shows on the screen. Is the front cam and proximity sensor necessary for image on display?
@@cristobalfloresdaccarett6045 hello, yes i fixed the problem. lcd was damaged. i bought and installed new one and it works. front cam and proximity sensor is not needed to boot the phone
this is a later reply but if you replace the screen, doesnt matter if it's apple original or not the true tone will go, unless you buy a programmer and copy the serial number from the old screen and paste it on the new screen so the phone thinks it has the original screen and the true tone wont go away
the camera flex cable is not seated into the logic board correctly or it is misaligned so the camera is pressed against the screen instead of the hole where it should be.
either you havent plugged the front camera in properly or you broke the connector, double check the connection, if it doesnt work still try another camera, if it still doesnt work then it's probably a logic board problem
I did this and my phone wont work now. Only sign of life is when I plug it in, then the apple logo comes on for a few seconds and turns off for a few seconds and repeats this.
Mine did this too (turned off and on). I discovered that I had connected the ribbon cable in upside down on the battery side. The ribbon cable should point down toward the bottom of the phone at the connection.
Shouldn’t u disconnect the battery first

Ian Conery press volume up, volume down, then hold the side button for 20-30 seconds
I don't know if u still have this problem but if u disconnect the flex cable and power the phone on it will work just replace the flex cable
