- Bridget Fonda stands by her decision to quit acting more than two decades ago.
A paparazzo asked Fonda at LAX airport Monday whether she plans to return to Hollywood to pick up her career, to which she quickly replied, “No.”
The 59-year-old went on to say in the video obtained by the Daily Mail, “I don’t think [there’s any chance]. It’s too nice being a civilian.”
Fonda doubled down when the photographer pressed her again, shaking her head before getting into a car with her 18-year-old son, Oliver.

@@CMKMarch63 Danny has scored a few independent movies that nobody has heard about, he kind of wants to get out of the Big Hollywood ghetto and do more unknown stuff for a change. He will score your independent film for just a dollar - if it’s a silver dollar to add to his collection.
She grew up with all that Hollywood around her. Doesn’t miss that. Has plenty of family money and her husbands income. Raised her son to adult. What more could she want.

I'm sorry for my English. I just want to say that you have to understand where she comes from to know why she has made such a drastic decision regarding her life. Bridget was born into a world of privilege, with her grandfather, father and aunt being very famous and living in a Hollywood where appearance is everything. Bridget was practically in the eye of a camera from the day she was born, so for her, this whole world of media calm is a dream come true. Many of the people who give their opinion here believe that a life of fame and privilege is the greatest thing any human being can aspire to. It is not like this. Bridget is living life for real now...and she loves it.
She probably has a weight or thyroid problem, like a large percentage of normal people. She also has the right to see herself as she wants, under the condition of her anonymous and normal person. She no longer lives by her appearance, she does not have an obligation to satisfy anyone's nostalgic desires.
As if that weren't enough, she was very sweet to the person who invaded her privacy.

SHE was a SUPERB actress! She might have been the best of all of the Fondas and that is saying a whole bunch right there! Try to find, "A Simple Plan" (1998) with Billy Bob. In it, Gary Cole plays one of the creepiest characters I have ever seen. He is extremely subtle in it, but you can see it in him while the characters in it do not.
