This head torch is almost perfect. The ability to use a battery pack or AAA batteries makes it a preppers dream. A 5-lumen low would have been a great addition. I use the ultra-low on my original NU25 quite often.
It's good overall but lower ultra low would be nice as you say. Evidently there is a new NU series one coming out 14500/AA compatible triple output, so hopefully that will be one to look at too.
Amazing review, I got it after seeing your video. It has a major design flaw, the hinge where the battery door connects is prone to breaking. Because when opening and closing the battery bay, the hinge is the only opposing pressure point. The hinge on mine broke after just a few battery swaps.
I have heard of some problems, I gave it to a friend and he is using it, but only once in a while (he has not told me about any issues). But if you get in touch with Nitecore they might be able to help, or the seller. Perhaps adjust the design a bit
Looks like a great running and biking light, but the mix in color temp seems a bit weird. I still love my HC65, but I'm looking to upgrade to the V2 version.
@@MrBazReviews I have a black cat, I don't have anything against blackcats, in fact I've only ever had one all white cat in my life. He was a good boy.
It works and works, and then stop without a warning, so its useless. Have you ever been in a vast forest, the sun is fading away into darkness, and you can barely see where your steps are taking you? I knew my way, so, but it was scary. Old type flashlights struggled on to the end, this one did not, it just left me there
It happens a fair bit with Li-ion a sudden voltage drop and it stops. With the old school ones you're more likely to see it dimming down, though most Li-ion ones will drop down, but you won't see it if you are at a lower level. Best thing is to carry a spare, or a small power bank. I have been caught out a few times myself cycling in the dark, it's not the best experience to have in near total darkness!
@@MrBazReviews I know, I have a pair of very Chinese solar/dynamo powered led lights for that reason, comes with a belt clip, they are not searchlights exactly, but you can at least light up your butt and say goodbye if things go south

It shows up more on camera, v in person as the colour balance on camera is fixed. Our eyes adapt to it, but yes there is a mix of temperature
Thank you 🙋♂️🇺🇸
Good to see you here!

05:59 You have a white kitty! I had a white kitty when I was growing up. I called him "rice ball"
I have 3 cats, the white one, yet people always go for her they seem to like white cats more!

@@AlrekArinbjorn 3 cats here at this time, I think that is enough. They often feature in the videos!
@@MrBazReviews Maybe sometime you could make a video all about your cats.
#4:23 the battery capacity is 1300mah but you write 13980mah
Stuff happens there you go I won't lose sleep over it! I spend too long on these videos, mistakes happen I'm past caring about small things
@@MrBazReviews Thank you for your answer. I know this, but I wrote it for information. I know how much time is spent to making movies
@@zkamerawpolsce5151 It's just a typo take the 0 off, the charge capacity was quite a bit higher than 1300mAh, for some reason
does it support direct charging?
You charge the battery directly as shown 4:16
