Just amazing! This actually brought me to tears...so beautiful in all ways. Thank you for reminding me of simple pleasures, and simple and beautiful treasures right under our feet.
OMG💜 this video brought back so many memories of when I was young. We also had chickens and on Sunday’s we would eat our eggs the same way. Must be a European tradition, only we had coffee instead of tea. The salt shaker turned out lovely. Good to see you both enjoying your meal💜
Thank you both for this 15 minutes of utter bliss, just seeing the beautiful table you set, the eggs from the gorgeous chickens. Seeing Gail work her magic to build a top, then once again the salt shaker was back on your table. I’m from California, USA, been on lockdown 45 days. But thanks to both of you I did not dwell on this virus.
Why is eating breakfast in England the prettiest way to eat breakfast?! (btw, I could get used to watching twice a week, even after quarantine is over) :)
Well done, you both are women of many talents! And thank you for sharing an idyllic breakfast with us. Your videos make the world look like a beautiful wonderland where we all wish that we could be right now. Thanks so much.
That was such a joy to watch. Very cute. You both come up with some very interesting things to do. I can’t wait to see what your next adventure will be.😊😊
This is an exceptionally beautiful video. I loved getting to see that little shaker made whole again. Such craftsmanship and a wonderful sentiment as well!

Gail, Alex... you outdid yourselves with this video. Undoubtedly, the finest you have ever produced. 🎞. Absolutely an Academy Award performance, in all categories! For those of us who were with you when you found this "scruffy" little bottle and ultimately watched you salt your breakfast eggs with it, was truly captivating. Gail, you were amazing as I watched you fashion the top for the bottle. I applaud you for having he ability to even apply THREADS to the cap. You deserve at least a dozen award for all the silversmithing we've watched you do. A litte bottle that had probably rested on the kitchen table in your home, possibly a hundred years ago, had ultimately been discarded after years of use, and found its way to the bottle dump in back of your home. There it lies for countless years... its usefulness expired, no longer an attractive possession admired by its users. It laid there in the bottle dump, a small relic of the past, its usefulness long gone. Decades later, Gail and Alex decide to go digging for bottles, and the story of the little glass bottle is awakened. Alex uncovers what first looks like a small hand grenade, only to realize she has uncovered a small bottle. Gails resultant silversmithing, preparation for breakfast and the now, beautiful cut glass bottle that offered up just the right amount of salt needed, for their breakfast eggs, unravels a sweet, lovable story that to me, was heart warming. Let's hope the "scruffy" little glass bottle, remains for another hundred years in Gail and Alex's home.
