At 5:35, you use 'From' block and name it ref! Could you please mention where is this ref coming from? I get an error when I execute the PLL block. I am using MATLAB 2018a version...
Ref is the modultion signals, that include three phase signals. The ref is connected to pwm generation for control the inverter voltage and current depending on phase angle and modulation index. What is the PLL error explanation? Did you write sampling time to PLL block? Could you check it?

sir, i have designed a simulink model of MMC for capacitor voltage balancing . when i connect it to the grid as you uploaded, before connecting it works as natural multilevel converter, load current was same but after connecting it to grid, converter takes huge current from the grid. what may be the possible causes for that? thanks in advance.

Its may be caused from sycnhronisation. You should connect after something. You should check the phase sycnhronisation, phase number, voltage and frequency equality.

PLL is the phase angle of the input signal. If you check the model, reference sine is generated by using the phase angle (as rad). The inverter output can be sync to grid by using this.
I explained the filter calculations in a video. I can't remember now, but if you check my inverter videos, you may find it. And also, you may find it in my paper: MPPT Based Model Predictive Control of Grid Connected Inverter for PV Systems
You can calculate efficiency with input and output power. You can use mean value of input current and voltage. If you ask dynamic response, its mainly depend on control theory.
Generally, dynamic response is tested with step change analysis. Its not determined, because low response time is better for all inverters. For this reasen, too many researchers are working on decrease the response time.
Naki, Would like to ask you about the droop control response. Do you think droop response can be added to grid tied parameter? Is there any other way to add it to converter. Many thanks, Jean.
If you want to control active and reactive power transfer you should use a control method. For ex. If you using pi controller, you can control id and iq parameters. Thus, power transfer can be controlled in one loop. One parameter should adjust to phase angle and other parameter should adjust modulation index.

Yes possible, but power flow and dc bus voltage should be controlled.

Sorry, where is the 535? Pc is the consumed power on the capacitor bank. 50 is only a gain as 1/50. It depends on type of capacitor.

Hi, you should change the directory selection. Check the current folder on the main MATLAB screen. It should be different than reported.
