- In this video, @FISHANE84 and I are fishing on the coast, in our kayaks. About halfway through the trip, I have a MASSIVE fish make a huge wake and strike my lure right under my kayak! This is the most INTENSE strike of my life!
30+minute battle, and we caught this monster!
GEAR USED: KASTKING ESTUARY SERIES INSHORE RODS-7 FOOT MEDIUM POWER
KASTKING SHARKY 3 SIZE 3000 REEL.

I have never heard a drag scream like that 😂
That was so cool to see and hear!
Happened to my wife at joe wheeler dam. Twice within 30 minutes.
I did but on that video guy ended up with no more line and rod smacking in his face.
i have saltwater fishing never freshwater fishing
hahaha that sound makes my brain explode. thanks for watching!
While the other RUclips anglers from Pensacola I watch have resorted to gimmicky vids to draw attention, you ALWAYS deliver great FISHING content. My hat's off to you sir and keep them coming!!
Thank you Jason!!!!!
Couldn’t agree more!
Totally agree!
Just curious, but what is the point of pitting them against each other? Different things for different people. Everyone is working with what they have to work with and trying to entertain people to make a living. May mot be my cup of tea, but also not a big deal. Unless I missed them throwing shaed at each other, no need for us to do it. Now the one guy who actually hurts his pets and fish he catches, toss him under the bus all day.
@@NOLA-vv3sz he,s really just making an observation. I know what you tuber he,s talking about. I also prefer a channel thats just real fishing without all the clickbait. Seems like your the one making a big deal here.
I showed this video to my kids, age 5 and 3, to show them the moments a fisherman live for. Needless to say, they have been talking about fishing, playing imaginary fishing games, and asking to go fishing ever since. Your video has helped me instill a bit more love and excitement for one of my passions in my kids. Thanks man. I grew up fishing in Galveston Bay for flounder, reds, and specs with my dad, and i'm looking forward to doing the same with my kids. Hope we see you on the water one day.
I love youtube! Good luck out there annd stay safe!
Best comment I’ve received in a long time! Thank you so much!!
There's nothing like Father and Son fishing, and I still remember vividly my Dad teaching me first, freshwater, then saltwater. He's passed now, but every time I hit the water, his spirit is with me. Priceless memories indeed!! Good on you for carrying on a Father/Son tradition, one that hopefully they'll pass on to their own children. Well done Sir.
You’re one of those RUclips that is truly himself every vid. It’s a true FOR REAL moment that we all can feel
Thank you very much, best compliment I could receive!
I thought the exact same thing you did about this RUclips’r, he’s a good man and he’s not a fake
Perfectly worded!
Fishing like a pro. Excited like a noob. Love it.
The whole time in my head, "I just want to see it...just get it close so I can see what it is" and of course you two land it like this happens to you everyday...awesome!
haha trust me this doesnt happen every day! Thanks Brett!
@@TyPigPatrol but it happens often
I was thinking CHASE IT!!!!! 😂
"My little heart can't take much more."
"I can barely hold up this GoPro."
That's when you know it was truly an epic battle!
Kudos to your buddy for the critical assist!
haha you got that right! Thanks Taco!
Thanks!
@@TyPigPatrol solid fish. I knew what you were feeling. I had the same thing happened when I hooked into a 50-inch striper on a kayak and got drug around for about 40 minutes. Until some guy on a boat helped me out. Insane
Seems like every day is the best day you've ever had fishing or another pb (until the next day). Epic battle and great content mixing up locations and species. Lots of great fishing you tubers out there but they sometimes seem to get stuck filming the same stuff. Those strikes and battles especially when you don't know exactly what's on the line is the best! Keep up the good content Ty!
You’re gonna need a bigger boat
Thanks Patrick!
🦈 I love the Jaws reference 😂
🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Bagger line Bagger rod
JC’s are absolutely INFAMOUS for totally destroying spoons at the spillway between Dunnellon & Ingliss FL here. They’re 100% muscle, 100% endurance, and all fight. You’re incredibly fortunate you weren’t fighting that monster in and amongst obstructions, because the only thing I’ve ever seen with their aptitude for the old loop-and-snap are big grouper. Awesome catch!
Ty you come through so often it's getting ridiculous. Legend!
Thank you Daniel!
Legend!
Great video Ty glad you finally got surprised by the jack. Back in the days fishing out of Eagle Point we just used to cut line while drifting in oyster reefs. There was no guessing for me when you hooked it
That strike was insane!!! I probably would have had a heart attack! Beautiful fish and great video as always. Dying to see whats next!
hahaha thank you man, i was terrified!
I used to fish as a kid and I still love the idea of fishing, the tranquility of it, but I am not a fisherman. However, I love this channel and it has become one of my favourites for sure. So simply shot, no fluff, always great fishing. Keep it up 👍🏻
I appreciate the kind words, thank you!
That Jack hammered that spoon! Great catch man, way to stay with it screaming drag and all.
hahaha thank you Paul!
So glad I subbed. Youve grown so much since I first started watching you especially in the way you handle those trophy fish. Can't wait to see what God has in store for you next. Keep your powder dry and your pantry stocked young man 💪😎
Thanks you for sticking with me!
Wow! That was awesome, incredible and so many other words. Thank God for cameras and you great ability to catch big fish of small rigs. And you did not panic. Great job.
Oh i panicked hahaha but it still ended in my favor! Thanks brother!
Bro ! Your consistant insane content never ceases to amaze me. That was a savage strike. Would have scared the crap outta me ! Way to go bro !
Thank you for hte kind words man!
So savage!
Awesome vid Ty!!! Man the Red fish at the beginning wasn't giving up easily one bit!! Lol😂
haha nothing gave up easily that day! Thanks Josh !
Great stuff having undergunned gear hold up in a fight like that. So much can go wrong at any point. Great content
Yes sir, he definitely has a lot of experience and skill as a fisherman, I've only watched a few of his clips but it doesn't take long to figure out that he's the real deal! He definitely loves and lives it!
That was amazing to see great job with the rod to be able to catch that GT I was so pump up just seeing you fighting that big fish I only imagine how you felt.
I love how he immediately calls on Shane for moral support 😂 👌 I feel the excitement!
Thank you!!!
Yeah man that was so cool to hear! I couldnt tell what he was saying but now I know HAHA!
@@TyPigPatrol Dinosaur successfully landed 👌
That was all I needed to see to subscribe my heart was pounding guys been there done that only difference you guys landed your catch !!! My line had a build up knot that failed tough lesson let me tell ya…Watching this brought that amazing excitement back that We all crave thanks guys looking forward to seeing your next hits 😀
Holy smokes that was insane!! Great stuff as always man!
Thanks Flip!
That was an incredible battle. I want to see more action like that!!!
Beautiful fish and a nice long fight. I like that you played him with patience. Shows your experience.
That’s awesome man! I grew up fishing inshore in Florida and now I live in Missouri! I miss it so much but even more when I watch your videos! Your channel is one of very few that I actually follow on here but it is by far my favorite! Congrats again on chasing down your dreams and living life to the fullest Ty.
I appreicate that Zachary! Thank you!
I’m from Missouri too and honestly Missouri has some of the best inland fishing in the country so at least we’ve got that!
I was born and raised in Florida now I live in Missouri as well. Where at in Missouri are you
@@joshgibson3559 where in Missouri are you? I’m in Missouri as well
Missouri does have some great fishing no doubt but for me nothing beats chasing reds on a grass flat and I’m from warrenton
Damn that was intense. I remember hooking into a 180 lb tuna when we were fishing for like 40 lb fish at the biggest. Took us like 5 hours between my dad and I. Reel was literally smoking we had to keep hosing it down.
Great video glad you posted keep them coming thanks
Shane--"Alright, whaddya need from me?" I LOL'd at this line. I'm always solo when kayak fishing and when I get into a good fish I think "I wish I had some help" but then I realize there isn't much anyone can do but watch. I let the fish give me a sleigh ride until they're threatening to spool me then I give chase. Patience and luck are good fishing companions.
I was thinking that too... what's his buddy gonna go 🤦♂️🤷♂️
That was INSANE! Ty seriously you need to play the lottery because are the luckiest fisherman I've seen! 😲
Thank you Victor!
Yeah buy some lottery tickets next time!
Them Jack Caravelle are one of the hardest fighting fish. I don't know why they don't get more love as a sport fish.
They are so fierce!
In my opinion is one of the hardest fighting fish out there and i been fishing for over 40 years
agreed man. We have a lot of "trout snobs" who hate everything that isnt a trout. The only negative with them is they taste bad, but idc about that at all, i release everything.
@@TyPigPatrol Man, I know all about Trout snobs out here in Colorado...any "warmwater fish" is trash to them. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy catching me some Trout, but each species of fish offers its own unique angling experience...that's why I love your channel, you catch them all! keep up the great work man.
“Because they taste bad” says the same guys who release bull reds and big snook.
Great video got my blood pumping too Love the channel keep up the great work man👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks mike!
That's awesome. I once fought a lake sturgeon for 2 hours and 15 minutes. Just to end up breaking off. I was running a 12 foot ugly stick with a Shakespeare Alpha reel. It was loaded with Spider wire 80lb braid. Snapped the line while it was looking at me. 15 feet from the dock. It jumped multiple times and was roughly, by eye, around 7-1/2 to 8 feet long. North channel in Algonac.
That is gnarly man, that had to be os painful. that is huge for a lake sturgeon!
I am 67 years old and far too crippled to go fishing anymore.I can, however, enjoy your channel. Thank you.
THanks for tuning in!
Im sure your smart enough to know you can't keep the fish out of the water for 20 mins and then edit out that it died
Wow wow wow.... Dude you are the man... That was insane.... What a fish... That is why I love watching you fish you are never a let down keep it up. Thank you for yet another awesome video.
Be good be safe be well.

Bro absolutely love all your videos wish I could've met you while you were in Oregon! hands down number 2 favorite fisherman on RUclips! keep doin what you're doin!
Thank you Kobi!
Wow every video you post is insane!!!
He should watch your last video where Giacomo catch that catfish on topwater... With the Pokémon lure..

Thank you brother!!!!!!!
He should have 1 million subs by now
I agree! INSANE ONLY
I agree
Absolutely amazing catch on that tackle! Jack Crevalle are in my opinion pound for pound the hardest pulling fish on the planet. Well done, congratulations!
Agreed man, so strong and fast!!
I saw hundreds of these on the alafia river in Brandon couple summers ago, hit one with my gig,,it was so strong broke the 5 prong heavy duty gig head right off the pole I had it on , snapped it off like it was a toothpic.
O remember hooking into a big Jack out in everglades while on a canoe
Took me for ride! Bicep were like jelly, but I brought it in. Its been almost 40 years, your video took to that cloudy afternoon all over again.
I only subscribed to you about 5 days ago, and I must say, I absolutely love your channel. I learn alot, and you always catch fish. Love it. Keep em coming👍
Thanks for the kind words man!!!
Ty is a great angler!
Sweet catch man always looking forward to your vids.
Thanks CD!

You guys are both good fisherman and always enjoy your vids with Shane in them! Seems like a good friend you got there to help you reel in and land all these behemoths you catch!!! Lol!!👌😂😂! But in all seriousness I enjoy watching both of your channels just mostly your though...🤫🤫😬😅✌! I'll be patiently waiting for the next one to come out brother!!! Awesome job as always!!👍💯
Shane and I have had some epic stuff happen, and we will continue to do so! Thanks for watching!
Watching this in the uk just before I go to work. I think I mite skive off work and watch all your videos. Great channel
OHHHHH!!!!! That was SO crazy!!! This is one of the BEST videos you’ve made!! EPIC FOOTAGE!!!
Thank you Kenneth!
There is nothing better then Ty freaking out over a big fish, that was crazy.
Hit the friggin like button!
Thank you brother haha more freakouts coming!
That was a monster Jack Crevalle, and I have seen quite a few over the years. Got to be one of the biggest I have ever seen. Congratulations
Thank you brother, i know they get huge in florida too!
It was quite the specimen!
Its a jack trevally but close
My bad you are right didnt see the yellow at first
Wow! I would’ve freaked out!😂 What a catch! Amazing!
The take from that Jack was incredible! And what a fight!
Epic capture from a Kayak. What a lump!
Thanks Duncan!
Those Jack Crevalle are a very fast and strong fish. That one would have been a challenge even with heavier gear, and from a boat. You did an Amazing job working this one. 5 ⭐ and 2👍EPIC Bro.
Thank you Mark!!!!!
It's always amazing how much strength and endurance these saltwater fish have. They just don't know how to give up.
agreed man...there is NOTHING in freshwater that can fight like this...
@@TyPigPatrol you’ve got jokers in the comments section comparing them to muskies and pike, not realizing just how much stronger saltwater fish are.
@@nickleback3695 Don't count out Carp.
Ty, you always deliver an epic video. You are by far my favorite angler. I really enjoy the videos with your dad. Keep on reelin my brother...
Thanks man, heading back to NE soon to fish with dad!
Can't wait for the video.
The whole time I was like please let me see it. Way to often I never get a glimpse of a monster I lose. Beauty of a fish. Congrats
that is what i was worried about!
My goodness was that a crazy powerful fish. I have a Sharky 3 and it has a pretty damn strong drag. To hear it peeling that line off like that gave me literal goosebumps. Incredible catch. And Shane was the MVP of that one. Without him you'd have been pulled back and forth by that thing haha.
that reel is a beast and this fish made me a beleiver haha! and yeah thank goodness shane was there!
Thanks you are too kind!
That was some great finesse!!! Might not be as fun, but considering some heavier rods and reels for that spot might be a good idea🤣🤣🤣
I love my kastking gear, made me excited to see you using the same reel
We were all here fighting that Remarkable fish with you hoping that braid wouldn't give or a pull out .Good vid lads .
I even felt the adrenaline, epic fight.
Thank you AWF!
You and Shane make a great fishing team! That was the most intense 10 minutes of my life.😀
Thanks Ty is a fun guy to fish with!
Mine as well, Shahna!
Nice fish Ty ,awesome battle and video.
First time commenting. Great Jack brother!!! Wish I was there. Keep the vids coming my friend.
Wow, I had to follow after that! How did you catch a fish like that, with the gear you had?!?! That was amazing!!! That's what you call fishing!!!
Thank you Territh!!
You got that right!
"I dont know if my little heart can take much more" 😂😂

Bro every video is better than the last! Epic battle after epic battle! Just amazing my friend!
Thank you Miguel!
So glad you landed it! I wanted to see what it was after all that drag screaming action
haha me too man, until we had it right up to the bank i thought there is no way were gonna land it.
I'm surprised you were able to hook a golden trevally in _this_ particular area! Congrats on the catch, God bless for doing the release!
Thats a big jack cravel
Whatever it was...it looked tastey. Could've cut some nice fish steaks out of that one for the grill. Best fish I ever tasted was a wahoo my dad caught. It was cut into thick steaks and grilled with some kind of cilantro seasoning my mom made. It was amazing!
Thank God someone mentioned the type of fish it was You'd think Ty could identify it
Awesome catch. My wife and stepson caught one of those down at Port O Conner back in 2018. Said that was a battle like you wouldn't believe. Thanks for sharing
I've watched your vids before. Don't know why I wasn't subscribed, I am now that was sick bro 🤜
holy goodness, i have never in my life seen drag run like that.. that was INSANE.
haha thanks Tagg!
That was insane. Biggest fish I caught was either a salmon or a carp
WOW... When that fish hit your spoon, i was like he's not going to catch it....then I though, yes he will, it's TY at the reel and his good buddy Shane is with him. Freaking AMAZING fish. Nice catch Man!
Thanks man it was a memorable catch for sure!
Thanks Neol! I honeslty thought there was no chance at landing it either. it was so far gone.
Nice catch! Caught my PB Redfish about 2 weeks ago in a kayak, gulf side of Timblier Island in Lousiana. Was about the same size as that Jack, 40lbs, took me out quite a bit, but had to let her tire herself out! Patience is key when kayak fishing. Like the content, you got yourself a new subscriber, cheers!
You videos are making me want to buy a kayak and be done with bank fishing! Great videos man. Congratulations on that fish! What a fight!
Thanks brother, getting a kayak is a great option to open up your fishing world!
When that fish struck your bait,...I nearly jumped outta my chair! Way to go....
Edit: This is one of, if not the best kayak fish catch ever! Awesome!!
Thanks JMD!
CONGRATS !! On one hell of a catch. Sure beats working on the pipelines/oil fields. Rock on man, Rock on.
You got that right, thanks Robert!
it's a runner lol nicely done Ty every time I see you upload a video after I'm done watching it I go fishing and guess what I'm going fishing now wish me luck lol
thats what I like to hear! Thanks Kyle!
I have never caught a fish even close to that big. That is one huge fish keep it up! You deliver the BEST fishing content. (also taught me a lot)
What was it??
Holy crap that was epic! What a beast!

That strike scared me dude! Epic video Ty - might be my fav! Kudos on the assist too bro! ✌️🤙
haha I hadnt had a good bite in a while and was totally zoned out, scared me to death!
...then there's the part where you sit quietly, bow your head and sigh...ending with a smile ,looking at your friend who shared this experience with you. The spiritual part of fishing...awesome.
The content just keeps getting better
I’d love to see Ty slamming some huge top water GT’s. What a fight this was
That’s pretty much the top of my bucket list man. Basically one of these but 40 kilo….I couldn’t imagine
Same
Same!
Shane landed that fish like a BOSS. offshore, you’d have gaffed that beast
agreed, would have been super hard by mrself!
Thanks man!
Good job. Everyone has a fish story but you have a video!
I am just curious how this would have played out if you were by yourself. It was insane but can you imagine how much more intense this would have been by yourself? Wonderful job Sir!!!!
I’m sure you get tired of eating fish, but yeah that Jack would’ve come home with me💪
I actually rarely eat fish!
Have you ever actually tried to eat Jack Cervalle? Its mostly a red bloody flesh (hence its nickname of Canal Tuna as they are common in the florida canals) and taste like shit - some people say its OK when you thin-strip and fry them into "jack nuggets" but even there i could not stomach them. Better to chop for bait and catch a good snapper or somthing and just eat that lol
@@RCichard Well if you would say that a snapping turtle is better than catching a jack, then I will absolutely take your word for it. No I have never eaten one before but it looks like I would love to catch one I have been both coastal fishing and deep-sea and have not gotten lucky enough yet. But thank you very much for the information now I know if I ever catch one not to eat it!
@@malelpn37 hahah, sorry was referring to a fish like the Mangrove Snapper or similar is what i was referring to - they usually run the same areas as the jacks where ive been fishing in SW FL... never tried turtle but wonder what it taste like! :)
@@RCichard even though snapping turtle has seven different types of meat they still require being purged because they live on the bottom and eat anything that is dead, or that they can catch. It is rather a strong fishy meat.. personally I like to marinate it for about three days in a good Mexican seasoning with lime and salt and then grill it which is fairly decent, or turtle soup is always good
That was the most intense fight I’ve ever seen. Congrats on this amazing catch!! Handled very well👍👍💯
Thank you King!
That was so intense bro.. Nice catch.. An epic battle.. Huge fish bro
Thats wonderful! Thank you for sharing
INCREDIBLE VIDEO!!!
My heart was pounding and I found I kept holding my breath watching it (something I do when I’m nervous I think). What an EPIC STRIKE too!!! Any fisherman felt everything during those 11:35 mins/secs… what a RUSH!!!

@@TyPigPatrol yes of course one fo the best fishing channels out there
Insane bro. Love your work.
The wait was well worth it to see that fish. That was one hell of an aggressive strike. Reminded me of when I got a similar strike from a 6-8 pound bass that I lost. Shit was crazy.. That fish you caught was huge, beautiful. Congrats!!
What fish is that
Jack Crevalle
I have caught a couple that size that fought themselves to death. Especially on light gear, by the time they get in they are spent. Only chance you had maybe was to try and revive it before even messing with the hook or filming. And you would have had to escort it around with your boat to get enough water over its gills.
WOW!!!! Kick ass fight!!!! Love it when the reel screams!
That was amazing ! GREAT job & GREAT VIDEO
Thank you very much!
I love how excited he gets. Cuz that's how I am, my adrenaline starts pumping... Awesome red! Big ass Jack too. What a fight they put up. They get big, and just peel off drag. The whole time it's like "just let me see the this thing"... Your videos are great. But your go pro is just locked on the reel. Have it look out at the water more.
That’s the kind of fishing I enjoy. Drag screaming.
Nothing better!
Your vids r so entertaining man
That was awesome man. Hit subscribe after that. I used to fish with my uncles out in P Cola. I've never caught a Jack that big, but even the smaller ones that I caught fight like a bull. But to dig through more of you vids. Have a blessed one brother.
