I own a fk8 CTR and you did us proud! To keep up with a GT3 on track was amazing. On motorway/highway it would have been OFF, but on track with a skilled driver like yourself much harder for it to smoke you.

Thanks Mike ☺️👍 Honestly cooling is not an issue, I just had very few cases with above 30 degree Celsius (85 Fahrenheit) were I had to take a break, but otherwise everything is working perfectly 😊 Do you experience cooling issues?

At the Ring myself in my recently purchased FK8 R at the end of June. It’s entirely stock apart from Cup 2s, pads and fluid.
Do you have any cooling mods? Concerned at high temps.

Thank you ☺️ The FK8 it’s fantastic, you will have a lot of fun with it 😀 wish you good drives 👍 No I don’t have any cooling mods but now definitely need to, I had power issues yesterday (last year similar) and went to a garage today here in Kelberg, the issue was that the cable going into the ignition coil overheated, so the expert said I need to do something to bring in more cooling like another oil cooler etc he gave me an address (tegiwaimports) from the uk to check what they have for the FK8, did you experience cooling issues?

Sorry for my delay. I don’t have any cooling mods - might consider oil cooler for the trip. Mega excited. It’s championship white on UK plates. I’ll be there 28June - 1July. Will keep an eye out for you. If you need anything delivered from Teigwa more than happy to help out if of any use! 👍

Thank you very much 😊👍 honestly I only rarely have overheating issues, when it really hot like above 30 degrees Celsius (85 Fahrenheit) but otherwise not, I’m using the standard oil which is 0W-20

Hello, I am looking into buying a fk8 ctr, and plan on tracking it, but i’ve heard that it has problems with the cooling, may I ask what kind of oil and water temperatures do you get?

I actually don’t know the temperatures but I never had problems except this day for the first time, but it’s the first time I was driving a new intercooler, so suspect that it has a link to that 😅
With the fk8 you basically have really an amazing car for the track, so I absolutely recommend it 😊 however change the wheels to 18 inches as 20 it not so good 👋
Get oil cooler, larger intercooler and you should be good at least the mishi

Tires: Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 265/35 R18
Wheels: Titan7 9.5x18
Breaks: Endless break pads
Intercooler: Wagner Tuning (only since September 2023 videos)
@@NordschleifeTypeR Nice mods, I'd recommend the Eventuri intake and turbo tube next.... makes awesome noises.
@@averagepal572 do you also have an fk8 and drive on race tracks? It’s the first time with the intercooler on the race track and I had issues with the water temperature (never had that before), I guess it has to do with the intercooler, but not sure, maybe you have some advise? 😅
@@NordschleifeTypeRMaybe the aftermarket intercooler is blocking air going into the engine bay. Time to upgrade your radiator and HKS engine oil cooler. Or change your bonnet with holes at front area.

Self constructed with a stick mounted in the middle where the light is 🤣🫣
