connecting Rode Wireless Go 2 to iPhone using any old USB-C to Lightning cable vs official cable

do you need rode’s official wireless go 2 accessory cable to connect it to your iphone via lightning or will the cable you already have work with it .... i find out so that you don’t have to!

If you have the iPhone Camera Adapter you use that instead of buying the special SC15 cable :) and keep in mind there is an apple adapter that also has a USB por tfor charging and the USB C so you can charge your phone while using the USB C for your Rode or Rode 2 Mic setup.

it's not about old or new. The old cable conection design for charging only but the new one design as aux inputloutput.

Chord must be DAC Type chord. Which means it can transfer audio data and doesnt charge.

The Cable called SC 21 rode mic to iOS apple phone 13 and up the price is around $30 about $ 40 Aus .. for Android i think you need SC 19 .. for normal rode mic you need SC 15

It doesn’t work, you need the original sc15 cable or the original rode usbc cable with the original iPhone usb adapter, (which is more expensive than the sc15). There is no workaround

looks like you need Rode's cable in order for it to work. Don't see why they couldn't make it work with apple's cable.
