Honestly Lost Ark is so lucky to have a content creator like Saintone. I remember seeing his video with Stoopz about which classes fit what styles of play and I've been a big fan ever since. Having competitive, charismatic, and educational streamers is so good for a game's health.
I fucking love Saintone, you guys should get him on every other patch to get his input. The man is a legend.

19:44 FYI that is 20% of players who are eligible for the raid, meaning 20% of all players who have 1490 or higher iLevel character. There are far more players who don't even have any character with 1490 iLevel, so when you see it from the total populations, the percentage is much smaller.
Korean Lost ark streamers were watching this on their stream and translating it for their viewers live while pausing it, was super cool to see

Saintone is probably the reason I remained so confident with Lost Ark in the west. - I wish he was a regular guest on this show, I thoroughly enjoyed this entire interview! Rich and Asmon added some really nice perspectives as well, and I could really appreciate Rich's reflections on his spending mistakes and such as well as Asmon's laid back take, consuming the story and building a different experience than rushing. What an insanely good video. Only sad it ended :(

One crucial thing that wasn't mentioned about counters was that it increases the esther gauge in legion raids.
Technically, in legion raids you aren't fighting alone and you are being supported by the esthers during the fight which is represented by a bar that fills up while you engage the boss. It's similar to a party wide limit-break system varied for each encounter during the raid where the skills sometimes provide you with massive damage, massive stagger, invulnerability and etc., and while it goes up with damage (I think) it goes up a whole lot more if you counter the boss. More counters = more party esthers.
The Stoopzz episode was really fun to watch and Stoopzz is entertaining but this one was even better due to Saintone's knowledge and demeanor. Both episodes were awesome in different ways.
And btw, Saint's apology for his raid video, while totally unneccessary IMO, was still such a cool, classy move. He's a great guy and I hope he gains new fans from this show.

Info time: the name of the island "Lopang" came after "Coupang" which basically is a korean version of Amazon prime. Would have made more sense if ags named the island "Lomazon prime"
Oh and Saint got it wrong when he said entry item levels differ for each phase of Argos. As far as the Korean servers go, the literal entry level is 1370 for all three phases.
However, he is technically right in that the system has a recommended level for each phase which is 1385 and 1400 for phase 2 and 3, and if you don't have yourself geared up you do take more damage and deal less damage(sometimes nulled).

in a few months there will be a catchup mechanic that will allow everyone to almost start in "tier 3" 1300 ilvl. Various buffs like bonus honing(upgrade) rates, less upgrade cost, etc. This game has doesnt require you to play everyday; theres even rest bonus for your dailies.

Not really sure why he would say Rapport isnt valuable. You have to do many of them to get the Virtue bonus stats, otherwise you get rapport locked with certain NPCs?
Man, who would have thought that focusing on the majority of the player base was such a good thing.
These podcast would be a lot more enjoyable if I didn’t have to hear Rich constantly tell me he’s a whale every other sentence. Saint was awesome though!

48th floor of the first tower forces players to use grenade because you cannot use anything except grenades to kill a boss (it locks out all skills including basic attack)

For me wiping in a raid is fine even a dozen or more times is fine. What i hate is when its a super long time to get back to the wipe point. If it takes 5 minutes to get back in thats great id its a half hour I'll give it 2 or 3 wipes rhen im done.
There are way too many bots in EU. in early game areas they form a line doing quests. every couple of seconds one arrives at a quest NPC, then leaves, comes the next. It's really stupid... All sorc or berserker

my big issue with this game are collectables. I feel like I play the game for maybe 1 hour a day. rest is sailing, mining and doing islands that are either stupid, boring, tedious or fun but I completed the fun ones.
the biggest issue is hard lock on 1 per week abyssal. I would probably not mind going second time even without any rewards just to learn mechanics properly. as it is after a week I am progressing again because I already forgot what the mechanic was. by the time you clear your 2nd abyss in your tier you are already in 2nd tier and by the time you do your 3rd you are already t3 with only 2 dungs there and one needs 1340 or whatever which will take me few days to get there because my luck sucks. so for next few days its Guardian raid, chaos dungeon and... daily, islands, chaos gate etc.
probably need to get into pvp or smth and hope its fun because the game is nice but you are saying there is a lot of content but to me its not that great. Even more so when my friend is in t2, im in t3, he already ran his t2 dungs, cannot run that ONE t3 dung with me. so we wait for reset and I will go with him to his t2s as Im a pala - support so I wont even carry him through and proably will be pissed at those 8 man dungs where, for some reason, there is always at least 1 guy who does not know mechanics but can learn and 1-2 guys who wanna quit after 1st wipe.
and my biggest disappointment is GUILD system. there is nothing really in guild that can be done. you donate silver and... thats the guild content. Almost nobody goes to discord unless they wanna chat about RL or smth because in the game there is almost no party content. And the party content you could go for is LOCKED behind 1 entry per week so out of the few people who are able to go with you, 90% is already done that week. so when you finally get to t2 item level to get 8man dung and its unfortunatelly Saturday ... go with randoms, guild members are most likely done with it since the day it re-set.
I miss those days when guilds were famous, players could be famous apart from streamers or whales and in the end, you never meet those guys in game anyways. no castles, no benefits etc. its almost like genshin impact, do your dailies, do that daily content, do some collectables, once a week get excited for bosses that does not really drop anything significant and than try your luck with gatcha.
DPS meter is another thing i am missing. just for myself I dont have to see everyone DPS. But if I play with a friend, I am DPS, he is DPS, we are around same Ilvl I wanna know the difference. am I doing good? bad? did I improve?
As a support I miss any kind of support skills. with Pala its 1 party shield and... thats it. use it and wait 30 sec for another. Sure there is DPS buff no. 1, no 2, there is your Ult, blessed aura that TBH needs like 5x more healing because when it ticks for 2k when people have 80k hp... and even more so I dont even know how much DPS it adds because there is no NO DPS METER. so I say to my friend when we stagger a boss "DUDE lets go full in, I put in my "Z", i put in my dmg buff, I put in my dmg DE-buff... and well I dont feel any impact at all :D I assume they deal about 40% more dps. maybe less, maybe more. but do they?
if I dont even use my blessed aura, nobody even complains. If I use my 2 dmg buffs at the same time, nobody even knows I did it. If I auto attack and dont even use skills... nobody really cares.
I loved TERA for the combat and that healer was very difficult to play. dot heals, target heals, debufs, buffs etc. and you could see the difference. Here I finally felt some difference later in t2 that support is nice to have but maybe, just maybe, one more DPS would let you kill that boss 2-3 min faster.
I feel like playing ESO all over again that you had to keep that 5% inc. dmg debuff as a support UP because apparently it was SUPER important and I never felt the difference.
TLDR: I enjoy the game but I have some big BIG issues with it as a support (long cooldowns and could not really feel any real impact like a nice 30% insta heal instead of that small heal from shield etc.).

The funny part about all this is that you cant really Whale to win in this game. Because at the end of the day you need to do the raid. The only way you could is if you pay for a carry but at that point why are you even playing.

People can't pass Alaric's Sanctuary, I don't think Argos or Abrelshud would be fun content as long as the gimmicks/mechs revolve around seeing one flashed light for a frame of a second and having one person wipe the whole group. In RU, I was the weakest in the group, in EU I'm just playing with 7 decapitated chickens running aimlessly around.

so there are those guide purple quests for each guardian that you get in each habitat of the guardians, and those quests are really good because they teach you the mechanics of the fights and give you the items needed for them andas a bonus they all reward gold. I just feel that those quests are so easy to miss cause they are not indicated and you need to go to the islands to take them. instead of nerfing they could just better highlight those quests
