  • Maybe I go on multiple tangents about art history, but it is RELEVANT to WHY GLAZED TERRACOTTA IS GOOD
(Also, you can use the debug stick if you don't want to download a datapack to alter glazed terracotta, but I found it annoying to use, but your mileage may vary)

i think a big part of the problem is that you hardly ever see any minecraft builders that really focus on interiors online. glazed teracotta looks a lot better when used on a smaller scale, but interiors and floor designs dont drive youtube views nearly as much as giant mega bases.
also.. ive been thinking for awhile now that magenta terracotta would look super good in an arcade build. like just imagine it in a ddr machine lol

Yeah I thought magenta could be used more functionally or for very niche situations, like for and arcade or maybe the arrows could be used in a adventure map to point people towards things.

Honestly this was a great showcase of a block I hadn't even considered to use ever. Though that's also mostly because I only like building in survival and it's harder to get there than the good old wood. Anyway now I'm more interested in it, and if I wanna give more depth to a floor I'll definitely have this video in mind!

Congratulations, you have successfully turned me into an avid glazed terracotta enjoyer... But seriously this video opened my eyes to how cool this stuff can be, I'm definitely gonna try it out on some of my builds now.

I personally have never used the blocks and I honestly forgot they existed, but I remember back when they were first released people for some reason thought it was the end of the world and hated them, I never understood why, this was a cool vid, I'll be sure to experiment when them more often!

amazing video! i completely agree that the cyan glazed terracotta has a lot of potential but the creeper face ruins it. also the coordinates on the screen at some points were a little distracting.

I started using glazed terracotta a few days ago and holy shit, they are soooooo good and soooo underrated. Like the simple fact that you can make diagonal grids is one thing, and the intricate patterns you can make likeeee (especially with the lime green terracotta, you were damn right on that), theres just so much potential with them.

I just discovered glazed terracotta blocks from a villager trade and thought they were pretty nice, but you showed a lot more options than I had imagined, and I absolutely love your MC-Escher-like affinity for tessellations lol

1:00 for those more worried about "keeping it vanilla" wouldn't a debug stick work fine?

Wonderful video! A bit of criticism, I absolutely love the energy given through your motion, makes me feel you genuinely care so much about what you're talking about, but it makes it hard to watch especially on smaller screens. I would suggest maybe have a camera person filming you walk through to capture your avatars energy while making it easier to watch with a less frantic frame. If you want to try that and need someone I'm happy to help test with you! Hope you continue and get big, this was very enjoyable!

Great video, but a bit of honest criticism here. It was kinda jarring you kept moving around too much, I legit sometimes couldnt see the patterns you were showing off. Other than that, very great video
