- Welcome back all,
This year's trip was absolutely amazing and was overwhelmingly welcomed by all in my group and for countless other hunters that shared the same area around us.
This trip however, went a little sour on day-1 when I developed camera issues and was unable to continue filming unless I wanted to stop hunting. I'm sorry, but conditions were too good to stop hunting and I and both my friends proceeded to shoot a limit within just over an hour's time.
I was able to get the camera back up to speed but was then presented with another camera issue which was mechanical in nature and will need to be fixed. Consequently, I am looking at changing up cameras in the near future (cash permitting).
Long story short, I was able to redeem myself on days 2 and 3 which will be posted shortly, so you'll want to see those!

Great video. We've been out to blythe every year since 2008 and I haven't seen birds flying in numbers or dense flurries since about 2010 or so. We're heading out there tonight for the second week of the opener, so hopefully the numbers are still sticking around! Nice shooting and glad you had a great time!

I was out there with a buddy on the opener too but we spent the morning “scouting” some spots I had looked at online. We found some interesting areas and saw some that looked just like your spot too! Then we went to our usual spot to bag a few birds in the early afternoon before it was just too damn hot for us to stay out there. Absolutely scorcher that weekend! 🥵 Happy hunting and good luck this season!

I believe that was a cut sorghum field and boy do they love those seeds. Mental note taken. Thanks for watching and good luck to you this year, as well. 🤙🏻

Looks like it was an epic opener regardless of what the camera was doing. It happens, my last one the camera “overheated” and shut off mid hunt. I could have fiddled around with it but the hunting was more important!
