Your videos have been something to hang onto the last few winters for me here in the rainy south of sweden. Yesterday was atleast clear skies but mostly its just gray and rain. It can be beautiful too but sometimes a bit depressing. Thank you for giving me a glimpse of an abundance of life we dont even get here in the summers. Also have really enjoyed these building videos recently

So fun watching you girls /goats etc/Im 63 couldn't find any honest carpenters in this town so been teaching myself carpentry /im a hand stitching artist been building shelves under and onto a table to hold all my threads and drawing papers that are big/built a beautiful barn door for the goats and chickens put wooden flowers on it/made a oval shaped hen house to keep them warm at night with matching wooden flowers /here in the cold north of alaska/im half dutch (last name van de Werken )my dad was from Rotterdam/a French Baron Huguenot went to the Netherlands to get away from religious persecution and built a castle there(my dad saw the castle ruins)/I have ancestors with names such as Elizabeth Kass Hendricka Shoenmaker and (grand mother Deirka Neltja Kooje )Meaning well to do duck catcher/who was born in a wind mill lol im sure I havent spelled every name right though!lol

It's possible that you don't have 4096 separate ancestors in the tenth generation. You see the problem is you run out of people. Of course your ancestors double with each generation back, but you don't have to go that many generations before that number gets bigger than all the humans that lived in an area or even farther back more than were on the planet then. That's true for everyone. So how does that work? Well, lines share people. Someone might be eight generations back on one line and ten generations back on another line. Descendants of the people that were around then have to fill in all the lines. Some of them didn't have kids so others had to have more to fill in. We're all related to kings and queens and farmers and highway men. We're all related. One interesting part of this is that any two people on the planet, no matter how far separated or how remote will share a nearest common ancestor usually less than 20 generations back. They're cousins at that many removes. We're all each other's cousins. Of course it's obvious when you think of it, It's the same for all animals. We all came from somewhere. I like the thought that y'all are my cousins and people in Papua New Guinea are too and in China and France and East Africa and everywhere! Wherever I might go I'm home.
