I love that you allow us to watch the entire process of your work in real time, unedited. Tweaking a piece can take as long as the initial forging, and can be quite frustrating at times. Your patience is admirable.
We generally hold the hammer in the right hand, that way we have the most accuracy and control over the hammer. The work piece is held in the left as movements with it are very basic, rotating the piece in the hand or back and forth. Hope that helps and have a great week
Yes, I am left handed and use the left hand for hammering so I it is probably the opposite for a right-hander. I rarely swap hands since I have the best control with my left hand. Thank you! great to hear that you like the video!
Great videos, would you mind doing another video showing how you forge a hannunvaakuna pendant? Im guessing you forge weld a ring and then wrap it around a former... i am intrigued :-)
@@lufolkcrafts Looking forward to seeing that. I love seeing all your miniature forging techniques used to produce really cool art pieces. Keep doing what you do!

..great video and demonstration sir! i believe that an open scroll is much harder than a closed one. You did well...!
Thank you very much! Yes, I agree with you
Does a right-handed blacksmith hold the hammer - or the workpiece - in his right hand? Do you swap hands sometimes? Fantastic videos, keep it up 👍⚒🔥

Good to hear! I bought these from a hardware store, nothing special. But it can also be forged of course :)

Thank you! I have been thinking of trying it that way but I am making them out of a straight round bar.
@@lufolkcrafts Its very well done, the joint is invisible! If you could do a video of this it would be cool.... thanks for sharing
