Franz was happy at his great nephew's wedding. These became Archduke Otto's parents. He was a fine gentleman, never pretending he was someone in high authority. Very humble person. I feel that the Emperor Franz Joseph, was totally lost without his heir, his only son Rudolf, and then the loss of his wife, Sisi, even though she wasn't there with him much towards the end of her years. I think he loved her till the end and was lost without her. Austria is a beautiful country.

Germany wants a real army again via the EU. Why, when they have NATO (of which they don’t pay their fair share) so....why would the EU want an Army? Who will they be fighting? I thought the EU was started to prevent wars in future. Lol! NOT!
This is why we want Britain OUT.

Archduke Karl, who, half way thru WWl which he opposed, became emperor [Austria] and king [Hungry] did NOT abdicate: most historians know and profess this, and yet it is an oft quoted historical fallacy. Liberals say he abdicated, but even they know he did not, and it drove--and drives--them crazy to this day. See, Emperor Karl was a man of God who viewed his position on the throne as a vocation from God, so he could not abandon it: thus is the reason that anti-religionists perpetuate the myth that Karl abdicated.

This video sounds familiar. The liberals want a new world order.

    • @johnkeller6063

the veils worn by the women are veils of mourning and ladies wore long dresses back then

    • @daniel_sc1024

At the time in question women's dress was very elaborate, and they changed multiple times of the day. In most royal courts of Europe, when wearing full court dress women would attach a veil to their tiaras. And the video from 2:28 is of the wedding between Archduke Karl (future Emperor Karl I) and Zita of Parma - the bride is the one with the heavy veil on her head.

During that period, fair-complected women of the upper and middle classes did NOT want to get a tan. Veil material helped to filter the sunlight.
