Awesome content, I'm happy I found these videos!. Easy to watch and you are very good at describing in an understandable way for us amateurs/intermediates.
I have looked into a very weird cool convention for dealing with almost the same scenario as your crazy shaped hand.
    opening hand south: 1M
West 4NT. (Unusual Notrump with 6-5 or better distribution. )
In that case it was both of the minors, sets up partner to choose which suit fits the most for his hand (5clubs or diamonds).
What do you think about that convention?. It's probably a scenario that does happen very infrequently, but as in your hand over. It does happen sometimes, and it could make/break an evening to navigate these unusual spots.

      Hi Martin,
Thanks for your compliments. Always nice to hear that people are enjoying my videos!
It's funny you should mention the Unusual 4NT as one just appeared in one of these videos recently! Check out #19 at:
      ruclips.net/video/b2-6ZxXdYF8/видео.html
to have a look at this very bid in action!
Generally speaking though I think that the Unusual NT (can be done at the 2 level over 1 level openings or the 4 level over higher level openings) is a great convention but as you say doesn't occur very often. As with all of these cool conventions, it is remembering them when they come up that is the key. There is no better way of showing a 5+/5+ shape though! Another convention with very similar themes to the Unusual NT bid is the Michaels convention, which is also a way of showing 5+/5+ shapes but is not constrained to just showing the 'two lowest unbid suits' as the Unusual NT bid is. There is a video on my website about all these different types of two-suited bids here:

      All the best,
      Dom

I don't understand the initial pass from the two suited hand. I thought from your other videos that a weak 2 clubs was exactly for this purpose, allowing you to continue with 2 or 3 hearts next bid.

There is no such thing as a weak 2 in clubs! If you open 2C it is an artificial bid showing 23+ points or a 3 loser hand or better. With such an extreme two-suited hand, it will often be correct to not open (if you don't meet the rule of 20) and instead wait to be an overcaller and hopefully show a two-suited overcall like a Michaels Cue Bid or Unusual 2NT/4NT.
      Hope this helps,
      Dom

I would unblock the club as soon as I can, playing the ace of clubs at trick three, and then draw trumps.

      Hiya,
You might need the Ace of clubs as an entry back to your hand in order to finesse again in hearts. With J9x opposite K10xxx, the best odds are to finesse for the Q, and if this finesse is successful, you will need the AC to get back to hand to do it again.
      Hope this helps,
      Dom

That is a consideration, but you can also ruff a club in hand to get back. If left opponent has Qxx of hearts, then right hand only has two trumps and can only ruff one club in the unfortunate event that clubs split badly. So I don't think it matters. I can't find a layout where taking the ace of clubs first is worse. At least I don't think it's that clear cut, and I like unblocking my suits :)
