  • In this video I sit down with my friend ‪@austinford2339‬ to talk about the University of North Texas (UNT) Jazz program. Austin graduated with his Bachelors degree in Jazz studeis from UNT and will be attending the Manhattan School of Music for his masters in the Fall. He was also in the One o' Clock Jazz band at UNT.
Thank You so much for helping with the video ‪@austinford2339‬ !

Do you need to be a jazz major to join the one o clock lab? Or would they accept non majors? (or even jazz minors)

No you don’t need to be a jazz major but it would help you out

I was laughing the other day seeing English majors in the One O'Clock in past years. I always thought the folks in the One were at least in music-adjacent majors, but I guess you can be whatever you want. Just have the chops to play.
