I love the introductions Professor Baylock does with the "live" start
second alto's time is unreal
He’s right on the beat!! He must’ve worked hard and practiced a lot to have time like that
Agreed.
Holy shit baylock's intro was fire
Best recorded version of this song I’ve ever heard. Insane.

I could not imagine what it must feel like to be in such an outstanding band as a student. Wow!
heard from the grapevine (college friends of unt friends) that they basically tell you that to enjoy one o’clock bc it’s the best ensemble they might ever be in.
@@j-gonzalez Basically every college tells you this. The best groups conducting students will likely direct are those they direct in college.

Saw them rehearse this tune a few months ago. It completely blew me away.
Barent Foley no you didn’t you probably don’t even know what music is
Garrett O'Connor dude what’s wrong
@@garrettoconnor7499 Bro chill
I’ve seen gus Arnold’s Grammy auditions when he was in high school. I recognized him instantly, great stuff
No disrespect to Gus but Will's tone on alto is just beautiful.
THanks
I like Gus's tone, too! I'm not a sax player but I think they're great in different ways
A great trumpet section (as always) tremendous performance from all the lads in each section
now this is real music ,,bravo too all the muscians
I can’t believe this was 3 years ago already! It feels like yesterday when we had the concert at south lake high.
Oh how I miss hearing them in the Union 🥲
Gus and Will’s tones blend so well together. Like night and day. Love it.
2:15 insane vocabulary
I’m amazed by that drummers single stroke roll technique
The Bass player!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I'm applauding in an empty house, totally blown away by these musicians, the arrangement, the whole damned scene. WOW!
Wow. Just wow.
That's my boy Eric!!! 💪🎺
That intro was such fire aura 🙏💯💯
Outstanding!
That's one kick-ass band!
I have played with Chris Van Leeuwen before, and he is an amazing dude too.
Wow
Wow!!!
Love it. Beautiful
Man oh man 🔥🔥
So say if I was this crazy trumpet player, like just incredible. You guys would totally give me a full ride right?
yes and amen
3:34 goddam thats difficult to pull off. well done.
2nd alto's sound is so good
Brilliant
Beyond STELLAR!
Outstanding
Fan-frikkin-tastic!!
Holy hell!!
I’m still waiting for yet so far
They don’t suck!
kind of mindblowing that caleb is 4th chair. That solo was soo good, and it was nice to hear one that didn't completely just have fast runs.
4th trumpet is actually the soloist of the section. Lead plays high notes, 2nd co-leads, 3rd and 5th fill out the harmony.
Nicolas Lofgren oh wow, I didn’t even know that. Makes sense now. Thanks
@@nicolaslofgren at UNT it’s 1st is lead, 3rd is split lead, and 5th is the solo chair
Give it one, BOYS!!!!!!
Nice trumpet solo.
❤
everybody and their mom play GRs now
What’s a GR?
A trumpet mouthpiece
Because they're good lol
@@ripharambe8764 yeah true, I like mine a lot
GRs are too good to not be used I can't play on any other mouthpiece anymore it's just not the same as GR.
Muito bom!
Who’s the arranger? Or is it the original?
I think it's the original
Also, dearest Kurt thompson. Please shut up when it comes to the one o’clock lab band.
what did he say? i dont see his comment
Yes, please.
Banks Nussman he didn’t say anything on this video. He just has some videos dissing the one o’clock band on his channel.
Kurt Thompson is a moron, taking snipes at any and all professionals and big names he can for no reason other than to chase clout.
great talent , undergraduate or graduate?
Undergrad I think
hi
See what Dizzy done???
I'm just a bit disappointed they don't perform wearing lab coats.
上手いなー。レベルが違う。
4:06 so simple but tasty
