Hey Paul, you may not be able to listen to any of your old albums, but us JAM fans still can! And they still sound as good today as they did back then!!
Thanks for the years of music ! Hope you still get enjoyment from your tunes and the ones you grew up with. What do you think of James Hunter ? I think he's refreshing ! Cheers from Nova Scotia .
Top guy and Amazing song writer. Those 1st 3 solo albums just untouchable, so good ... not forgetting Jam/SC catalog ..the mans a hit machine and all round bench mark.
Its a shame he was never known in the US, but maybe that's a good thing. I got ahold of the complete adventures of the style council not long ago and Ive been showing everyone. Totally blows me away how many amazing songs they wrote, even that last one that was house influenced is great. I sing my ass off in the car to and from work everyday to the style council.
First rock ‘n’ roll song for me [chubby Checker the twist] I saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan. My first concert Badfinger and Black Sabbath November 7, 1970 (Saturday) I was 15 years old. 🇺🇸❤️🇬🇧
Paul you've been the soundtrack to a great deal of my life. I don't hold a single moment of your career against you. In fact, the Story of Someone's Shoe is one of the most brilliant things ever done. Keep On.
I always find weller a bit scary but when he talks he is really nice. remember buying beatles greatest hits their best album😊 for 99p how crazy is that
I guess it makes sense that so many comments below are about how old Paul Weller looks, because the mod scene--and the Britpop scene in general, really--was such a shallow, style-oriented 'movement,' focusing mostly on 'youth.' Sad. Come on people. Talk about the great music.
PW - an absolute national treasure. Prolific, forward thinking and a genius at his art. His music has brought me so much joy. I couldn't thank him enough 👊🏻🙌🏻🎼👍🏻🙌🏻🎼
Listened to Beatles tonight in the car with the wife. So good. The Jam were some band. So sad when they broke up. Listen esp to Setting Sons and the live albums. Essential listening and education.
Amazing story about his first album he bought. They must have been much more expensive in relative terms. I wonder how excited Paul was to meet any of The Beatles, as I'm sure he must have. Did he recall that story?
Legend !! Paul i grew up with your music !! Your songs have inspired generations.Long may you live !! And i think you should get an invite to Buckingham Palace where your become "Sir Paul Weller".❤💋💋💋
Quite true m8 it's about time that Paul Weller or King Paul Weller (as I have nicknamed him ather Chess Peaces.. And yes I do play Chess.) Should get a knighthood.4 his great music.
'Discos weren't what they are 'now' - well, they don't even have discos now!' For us, 'now' will always be 1980, therefore: L O N G L I V E T H E M O D F A T H E R
Kind of funny that his first gig was status quo. My first gig was The jam. he seems relaxed and jovial in front of camera these days. it's only taken him 60 years.
Quite true m8. I think that Paul Weller is fantastic. And I think that he should definitely get a knighthood 4 his great music. And I dream of Paul Weller and the Human League (my favourite Pop band ever and my heroes. and Joanne Catherall ♥️ epy my hero because she is partly responsible for the best night of my life so far. Even if the free taxi from Brighton 2 Portsmouth where I live and play Chess 4 on the night in question wasn't planned.
Who, is that to his left? Gedit!Anyways... Bonanza, Lorne Greene; Downtown, Petula Clark; Jose Feliciano live; Dark Side of the Moon, By You Know Who; anything by any Rap artist; Mirror in the Bathroom, The Beat; Don't Worry Baby, The Beach Boys.Mid-Career PW, superb....
Morales from New Mexico. The Sound Affects record is fantastic. I'm 67 old lad & it has aged well with me. I appreciate your contribution to my Renaissance experience back in the day. Carry on!!!
Hey Paul, you may not be able to listen to any of your old albums, but us JAM fans still can! And they still sound as good today as they did back then!!
He should start listening to them.
We might get some decent music from him.
Same here my favourite ones are This is the modern world and Sound affects 🎸🇬🇧
Love you brother
Thanks for the years of music !
Hope you still get enjoyment from your tunes and the ones you grew up with.
What do you think of James Hunter ?
I think he's refreshing !
Cheers from Nova Scotia .
Still love him. What The Beatles were to him, The Jam were to me.
Top guy and Amazing song writer. Those 1st 3 solo albums just untouchable, so good ... not forgetting Jam/SC catalog ..the mans a hit machine and all round bench mark.
In a total class of his own IMO,and still doing it big time.

Great sounds❤🌍❤
I’m from the US - Paul Weller is awesome ! 🇺🇸
I'm another American fan. He and Pete Daugherty are fairly unknown here, but I think they're great songwriters.
Paul and pete shouldn't be in the same sentance😂@@avalondreaming1433
My first album was all mod cons and I was ten and I played the shit of that
Love that decimal currency is still 'new money'
A man who has always had impeccable taste.
We love you in the Southeast United States.
First rock ‘n’ roll song for me [chubby Checker the twist] I saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan. My first concert Badfinger and Black Sabbath November 7, 1970 (Saturday) I was 15 years old. 🇺🇸❤️🇬🇧

Great vid! Looking as cool as ever! And sounding very relaxed! ✌🏻👏🏻👍🏻🇦🇺😃
Imagine how you felt with that album Paul well that’s how we felt saving up for in the city 👍👍👍
What a fucking dude !! Salute !!!!!!!
Paul has not went down the route of Paul Mc Cartney and his plastic surgeon
Going Underground or Funeral Pyre 🤣 Love how he still refers to The Jam...🤣
Super talented musician ...Unfortunately his repeated reply to a The Jam reunion rumour is : "No way José !"
Why should he? he's got more talent in his little finger than the other 2!
First album I got on record was sgt. Pepper's lonely hearts club band too
Weller brought The Beatles St Pepper LP a year later.... no credit cards in those days!
My funeral songs : Tomorrow Never Knows & Wasteland .
I always find weller a bit scary but when he talks he is really nice. remember buying beatles greatest hits their best album😊 for 99p how crazy is that
Mods always turn into Rockers.

yet you are also talking about his looks, and not his music
Surely ... A town called malice ... especially today 2024. Is a song that you can listen to today.
The jam songs still sound great 40 odd years on, 👍
👍😁
PW - an absolute national treasure. Prolific, forward thinking and a genius at his art. His music has brought me so much joy. I couldn't thank him enough 👊🏻🙌🏻🎼👍🏻🙌🏻🎼
Yea dude is relentless ❤
Fun little vid with answers to seminal music questions we all think about.
Lieber Paul Weller, ich danke Dir für die wunderschönen Stunden die mir Deine Musik beschert hat.
I *knew* he'd name one of his own as something he no longer can listen to.
Going Underground. :0)
What an special and unique artist . For me he is a legend in a musically way .
Paul Weller , Little Richard was great !
I got a chance to see him in Boston outside at The Hatshell !
Incredible- I was pinching myself !
Please stop smoking, Paul - that craggy look is most likely due to cigs & not wearing sunscreen. And drink that water! Luv ya!
Wtf?!?
BrianMayFan Paul has a beautiful face and looks even more handsome as he grows older.
Check out the neck.
So many rock stars point to little Richard as the man.
Prefer the kinks/ small faces tbh !!
Brilliant 🕊❤️🙏🌸🧚
There was a radiogram in our home when I was a nipper. Nice bit of 'furniture' ....lol.
Paul Weller vs Sting
I love both, and I wish they were friends.
@@xensboy3179 are they not friends?
@@theloniouscoltrane3778 Hi. I don't think so. Weller is very harsh on The Police.
in the clouds ------ if he evaporates
Listened to Beatles tonight in the car with the wife. So good. The Jam were some band. So sad when they broke up. Listen esp to Setting Sons and the live albums. Essential listening and education.
