Guru ASMR here! Somehow my last two ASMR videos became two of my most popular videos. You might have noticed that Harry Potter has already made several appearances. There are so many great scenes to include that I had to put them into one video. I hope you like it, and thanks for watching!

Baron Thundercunt It most likely feels well transitioned due to the consistency in the volume and the briefly fading + overlapping of the audio when it cuts from one scene to another, making it not feel abrupt. It’s a common technique used in films when you want to make a smoother scene transition-leave extra music and audio when it cuts to the next scene and fade it out.
it actually wasn't unintentional at all. movie makers have been using asmr to make the watchers comfortable for ages. that's why they sometimes even put small microphones on the floor so you can hear them walking more clearly, and why they edit the actors voices a bit to make it sound more articulate, breathy and a bit echo-ish. asmr has been a thing for much longer than youtube even existed. film makers also use colours and other psychological factors to please the watchers or set a certain mood
Intentional asmr has not been around longer than you tube. Even the name for it is recent. My friends and I used to laugh about it in 2006 - real life tingles from odd things. When it was named we couldn't believe it. Then came all the videos. Nothing beats real life unintentional asmr from unknowing sources though. Movie makers have absolutely not always used it in film making. It's only a recently named phenomena.

The "intentional" part of it is filmmakers making relaxing and comfortable scenes with sound to get the effect that we would later call ASMR. They have always been aware of it even if they didn't know what it was called.

Happens a lot to me sometimes. I just watch watch and watch thinking "I'm watching the movie" then the scene transitions and I'm just there thinking "Ohh...Well at least I know what to do later."

Haha, I remembered loving that Olivander's scene when I was a kid but couldn't really describe why I loved it so much. Now that I know about ASMR, it all makes sense :D
I know Voldemort is bad but omg when he was doing the giant whisper to everyone, I've been watching this with headphones (which I never watched Harry Potter with before, something I tend to rewatch once or twice a year), I got ridiculous ASMR tingles from it. XD
I always hate snapes speech in the potions class when he calls out harry for not paying attention but he's just taking notes like ?????????????????????????????? aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I was thinking the exact same thing just then, and it annoys me that he didn't point this out to Snape. Maybe if they'd had that discussion and Snape wasn't such an arse Harry would've paid more attention in classes and done a bit better academically. Maybe this set a bad precedent in his mind - "Oh, I shouldn't knuckle down and take notes because that's not what they do here. I'll just wing it instead."
It’s just cuz he hates Harry for everything. This is one of the few times you see the unnecessary punishments in the movies, but in the books you see this sort of thing a lot.

I always got tingles from Half Blood Prince when Narcissa and Snape are doing the unbreakable vow and Bellatrix is whispering it. As dark as that scene is, her whispers are so crisp and relaxing 😂🤤
You missed one of the best ASMR moments in the Harry Potter movie franchise. It is near the end of HbP, when Horace Slughorn is telling Harry about how he got his pet fish, Francis, (while eerily lovely flute music plays in the background): “It was beautiful magic, wondrous to behold... the flower petal had come from a lily. Your mother.” That little story was written for the movie; it does not appear in the book.
YESSS IVE BEEN WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO DO THIS Sadly in most of the movies, only the wand shop scene is considered ASMR. But there are SO many scenes in this whole series that give me SO MUCH tingles ugh. Truly iconic. Thank you, Guru 🙌🏻

Everyone be gushing over Snape, and he’s awesome. But man, John Hurt was a treasure. Such a wonderful actor with a voice like no other, and a demeanour that just oozes the notion that you’ll be utterly encapsulated by his performance, may he rest in peace beside the other legends who made our childhoods awesome with these films.

I used to get ASMR from reading books when I was a child. The robe fitting scene and the tea leaf reading got me good - I had no idea what ASMR even was.
