Man I would love that, 3 times Ive had tickets to them here in aus and every time they have pulled out sub 2 weeks before the show so I've just given up on taking the risk....
Tank, you are the only (essentially) reaction-exclusive youtuber, that actually feels like you care about the content you're making. You have so much passion for music and the effects it has on you. You're able to appreciate the video even if it doesn't have (real) instruments in it. You're honestly the only reaction youtuber deserving of the fame you have received, and you absolutely deserve loads more. I wish you the best! it's because of you i found Electric Callboy, who dug me out of the darkest pit i've been in for a long while. Keep putting out the amazing content, no one deserves the attention more than you.
Might I recommend to you The Charismatic Voice? Elizabeth Zharoff is a professional Oprah singer who reviews different music videos. Her audience got her into metal, with Dio being a favorite of hers. She has such a love and enthusiasm for the music that you can really feel from the video.
@@yosefzanerva806 oh YEAHH I had forgotten about her, I don't watch her near as much as tank though. I prefer his more laid back style of reaction, much easier to put one on in the background and still get all the details, whereas Elizabeths feel like something you have to put all your attention into, I still love her content though!
This song is classic Sevendust. It’s SO good. I can’t believe I’ve been following them for so long now. Can confirm they are one of the best live bands around.
I've been listening to sevendust since 1997, my all time favorite metal band! And i absolutely love this claymation video!!!! One of the best bands live I've ever seen. And I've seen them 12 times. 👊👊
I've always thought Sevendust was just kind of "OK" but seeing your passion about them and the way you break it down makes me feel an excitement to listen to them! I'll be checking this out and giving their music another try
I am so proud of Sevendust bc I listened to them when I was a kid and then they kinda fell off the map for me bc they weren't getting talked about much for a long time, so I thought they weren't making music anymore and about 2 years ago I realized they'd been making music this WHOLE TIME and it's so cool to see they've been going strong all these years.
They did not fall off the map, the industry moved in to trendy sounds and pushed them to the side. Sevendust continues to plod forward with giving zero fvcks.
Lol I'm with ya Tank! Been listening to Sevendust since, geez, my mid-teens haha most all of us musicians hands down know they're solid. Definitely gonna pick this up.
Grew up with this band and bought their self titled in middle school back in the late 90's. I've liked every album up until Black Out the Sun. Everything after was pretty good but they're one of those bands that have 100+ good songs. Go see them live if you haven't.
We share same thought. People always complain they sound the same. I love it! Sevendust is the only band I know that stay true to their original root sound. They never sell out. One of the reasons I'm still loyal with 7D.
Great band, great reaction. I've been a fan since the first album. I remember buying it on cassette. It came in a box that resembled a cigarette pack lol. Love these guys!!!
Man so good to hear them again. Bitch and Waffle are some of my all time favorites. Nostalgia but sounds new at the same time. Stoked for the new album.
Sevendust fucking rules. I've seen them 8 times and they always sound better live than on their albums. I'll easily put them among the top 3 greatest bands I've ever seen live.
Sevendust is criminally under rated. They are definitely one of the absolute best live shows I have and will EVER see. On top of that they're just fucking awesome people, I've met them a couple times and they are always so nice and very chill. I have zero bad things to say about this band.
Have always been a fan of Sevendust and have seen them 8 or 10 times as well. Awesome live band, even the acoustic show. Always see them when they come through AZ !😊
Hey man i just wanted to say that i think you are actually the best music reaction channel i have ever watched, the research you do Tank facts knowledge and instrument identifications is very great, i enjoy your videos very much
Great reaction! You're 100% correct about that "Sevendust sound"...you can always tell a 7D song, be it from 1997 or 2023. I've been a fan since the first album back in '97 and I've seen them live, by far, more than any other band. They are one of those bands where if they are playing anywhere near me, I'm going...no questions!!! They always deliver and they are all super cool dudes that always take time out for the fans.
Glad you enjoyed the video dude. Found out about your channel after seeing you on Finns podcast so it was cool to see you react to the video. Nice to see a reaction video where some one actually reacts - Ollie ( Director/Animator)
I worked for Sevendust at the January 26, 2006 stop of their headlining tour with Nonpoint and Wicked Wisdom at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT. They brought in a sound set up that was way too big for the venue and had a tour rider that included bringing in a full weight set/work out equipment into the tiny venue (nevermind Jada's wardrobe cabinet that took 11 guys to get down a flight of stairs and she did ZERO costume changes during their set). Other than that they were the most well organized, friendly group I ever worked for at that venue. Morgan's entire drum set up was 3 pieces: half the kit on the right platform, half the kit on the left platform, connected by four latches and push the kicker drum in the middle. All on rollers. Unlike most other bands where the drums take the longest these guys were on and off the stage in a flash. They had a local opener called Cade come down from southern Mass. During soundcheck a couple of the Cade guys and a couple of us house crew started moshing (somewhat ironically), when 7D was done they came laughing down the ramp and talked with us for a bit seemingly in appreciation (I remember Lajon being shorted than I expected and saying "damn guys the last time we saw that we were back home in Georgia.") I got to watch the show from the lighting riser above Morgan's right shoulder and man does he put in work during their sets. I was at the venue for 21 straight hours for that show but it was well worth it for all the memories, not the least of which being helping to carry Elijah from Nonpoint to the bus from the bar at towards the end of the night. Great review, just subscribed!
Tank you have the best reaction channel on RUclips! The information you give on band, equipment, personal experiences/stories etc. makes it one of a kind and unique.
I love your videos the reactions and the bands, music and the topics in generel you chose for it😍😍😍 Such good entertainment if you are into music. All the best from germany 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Thanks for doing this Tank! Seen these guys around a dozen times over the years, would've been more if they were consistently in my area when touring, but by far the best live band out there! I can still remember the first time I heard them in my buddy's car. He popped in the "cassette" (LOL) of Home and went straight to "Headtrip" and I heard those first few notes and lost my mind and was hooked ever since. They are my favorite band and always will be. They say to never meet your heroes/idols, but Morgan Rose is my favorite drummer and the most humble guy I've ever met in my life. The rest of the guys are the same way and I've enjoyed chatting with them over the years. If you haven't checked them out, like Tank said, do yourself a favor and just start checking out their catalog and hear their progression from self titled all the way to this single. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!
Yeah this band never disappoints with their sound one of few bands to stay consistent. I especially love how bouncy Morgan's bass drum always sounds in the mix. And I dig the claymation style & aesthetic of the music vid. I'm stoked to get the album when it comes out. I'd be curious to know your personal fav Sevendust album. Mine is Cold Day Memory every song on that record is a banger. Also love Black out the Sun, Seasons and Blood & Stone.
That specific style of animation is called "Stop-motion Animation". It involves making a set-up with clay, dolls, and other things that set the stage on a miniature level, taking a picture of the set-up, slightly changing the set-up (moving an arm a little bit, rotating wheels, ect.), then taking another picture. Repeat this process hundreds, or in some cases, thousands of times. Also, props to my home boys! Go Braves!
You always deliver Tank! On another note, I haven't found a single person reacting to Odium. They're actually very talented and while I know you love doing gear, there's a song called The Descent where they sing about how you can get back from depression. Even if you don't want to react to it publicly, I highly suggest listening to it "Odium - The Descent" if you haven't. :) It's less heavy, more beautiful and frankly impressive considering they're a metalcore/death metal band.
Favorite band for over 20 years. So glad you are doing the reaction, maybe more reactors will follow suit and introduce this band to a more broad audience!
That was a fun reaction. We don't often get to see you geek out and just have fun with a video, was a nice change of pace. Not to mention the video is fun/silly as hell....and it's Sevendust so everyone knew it was going to rule before we saw or heard it. They truly are an incredible band with a sound all their own and obviously have no intentions of slowing down. Since you mentioned checking out new (to you) bands and singing drummers, just thought I'd recommend the band The Warning. I'm sure they've been requested before, so I'll keep it brief: 3 sisters from Mexico, good musicians, rock/hard rock, and all 3 sisters sing. They recently released a live video on their channel of the song "Disciple", which I would say is a good starting point.
My gosh, I LOVE how they threw the classic 'Idle Hands' kill in there, peeling Clint's scalp back. Tremendous nod given to one of the greatest horror-comedy classics of the 90's!!! 😂💀🔥
They are awesome I've been listening to them since I was a teenager I've seen them 7 times in concert and going to see them in Kansas city in October can't wait
Oh man what a trip down memory road. I remember blasting them back in high school on a 10 hour drive to a gaming convention back in '99. Love your channel Tank! You're getting me back into metal and I'm bringing my 2 little ones with me. Keep up the awesome work!!
Seen these fuckers about 30 times. Best group a dudes you’ll ever meet. Been listening since I was a kid too. This is their strongest effort since I can remember. This album is gonna rip.
I still remember when thier single Black came out. Killer first single. Tank it would be cool if you did reactions of some of your fav bands early singles(that you haven't listend to in a long time) and maybe even break down gear of that time. I think it would be nostalgic and fun!
Sevendust was the first metal band I ever saw live. They played in a little club called Rafters in Johnson City, TN. I think it was around 2002 because I was around 15. Such a fun show and they absolutely killed it.
I remember one of my mate's older brother listening them back in the day and the feels that "this is kinda awesome". But lost track of the band and now just found them again ane yeah, same feels. Thank you for that Tank, and for yet another great vid!🤘🏻🤘🏻
I remember. My wife and i saw them our very first time at a co-headlining tour with shinedown here in germany. We couldn't find any words how amazing that was. Both bands are great but sevendust were at these evening even bether.
Love Sevendust and really dig the new single. Still sound as good and authentic as ever. Discovered the band in like 07/08 so have almost listened to them half my life. I remember the first song that got me hooked on the band was "Bitch". Great band with so many awesome hits in their catalogue
new material from sevendust whaaaat? fan since ages `(^o^)' Lajon is one heck of a vocalist how he breaks and build sentences is so amazing i hope they deliver better as a few other bands the recent years
Hey Tank! As usual great video :D Sevendust being "back" feels really good. Can we get a reaction to Harper - Falling? I would love to hear your opinion on her.
I remember seeing them at The Main Event in Toledo for literally 5 bucks in like 1998 and it was one of the best shows I've ever been to. They don't get anywhere near the radio play they should.
I saw Sevendust at First Ave (on my night off doing security there) with Limp Bizkit. Insane show. The guys came up to the bar for a while and we’re totally cool with everyone. And their full set acoustic show? Blown away at what these guys can do live.
I've seen Sevendust 4 times and they were better with each show. I actually saw them with Drowning Pool at the Boathouse in Norfolk, VA less than a year before Dave Williams passed. That ranks as the best show I've ever been to and one of my most cherished memories..
I am so happy that they're still going strong after all these years! My friends and I went to their shows EVERY time they came to town, Lajon is one of the nicest guys on the planet and was always so genuine to everyone!
Two of my favorite albums of all time are "Home" and "Animosity", both of which have Lajon's autograph. I remember the first time I listened to "Home", which was my intro to 7D. I remember where I was, who I was with and it changed my life. I was just starting to get into heavy music with a friend of mine, and I still love these albums over 20 years later. They hold up SO well. The concert I saw them in was in Johnson City, TN, and it was insane. I can't remember if it was John or Clint, but one of those legends saw I wanted a guitar pick but couldn't hit me with one. When the show was done, dude reached one down, shook my hand, and slipped it to me. I'll never forget that damn show. I wish I could relive it. Fucking legends, all of them. Nicest guys in the biz.
Hey Tank, not sure if you've already heard, but The BossHoss released a Collab with Electric Callboy. The song is called Nice But No, and it is really good.
Sevendust is criminally underrated. Them, Meshuggah and TOOL were the bands that showed me the light of music when I had previously hated it my entire life. Knowing that music doesn't have to be the same boring beat over and over again, that you can have fun and experiment, which I never saw in any of the music I heard on the radio.
Hey Tank, if you read this, maybe you could react to the new Singles of Discrepancies (Testify) or From Ashes To New (Hate Me Too). Especially Discrepancies deserves some recognition in my opinion!
Sevendust is definitely one of those quality bands that has pretty much never had a single bad album or really any bad songs they may have never hit it super big, but they are just as quality as you can get also with one of the most underrated front man in the industry with Witherspoon
Damn I hope you love this. Lajon is one of my fav vocalists of all time. Hopefully I won’t have to edit my hopeful reaction to your reaction 😂 (After reaction) Hell yes! I 10000% agree, when they do a sonic riff it sounds like no one else out there. Love when Lajon and Clint harmonize vocals. How do we describe Morgan’s vocals…not a scream, not sure harmony, it’s a unique vocal sound I could recognize anywhere.
One of my favorite shows was Sevendust with Trivium supporting. I live in Atlanta so it was a hometown show for them, and Lajon told a story about how he was working as a waiter at a place called the Coronet Club which was a male strip club. He wasn't stripping, but he did have to wear booty shorts and basically nothing else lol. He said that was his last job before going full time with Sevendust.
lm 53 (CLT guy) These guys ARE Legends. You dont MISS, a "Dust" show. NEVER. 25 years, lve seen these guys. l have a Huge story and it includes these GUYS. l have 1 pic from that night and w/LJ and he has NO idea how important that 2 hrs was to a Young Man, l was trying to help. these guys DID more. If U read this, plz....These Guys are Music Talent and GOOD people.
Such an under rated band! They are SO KILLER LIVE! Seen them 8 times and met them once. Such super nice people. Fucking LOVE SEVENDUST!!!
No doubt dude. I've seen em 23 times. Never a bad show!
Man I would love that, 3 times Ive had tickets to them here in aus and every time they have pulled out sub 2 weeks before the show so I've just given up on taking the risk....

I saw them live in Tempe way back in, oh, 2007 maybe. It was a good show. I was really into their albums back then.
Definitely up there with Adema coming back and Crossbreed! Throwback hard!
Sevendust saved me with their song skeleton song when I was a teenager. I still listen to it from time to time.
new material from sevendust whaaaat?
fan since ages `(^o^)'
Lajon is one heck of a vocalist
how he breaks and build sentences is so amazing
i hope they deliver better as a few other bands the recent years
Back to their old sound. Fuck yes
Thanks Tank whas great to hear them again.🤟🤟
Was a Junior in high school in ‘97 when I first heard them. Seen them 12 times and will have every album until they retire. Which I doubt lol
planning on seeing them in august with alter bridge
Love sevendust. They never dissapoint
Kind of reminded me of Howard Jones with the vocals and some parts of the music reminded me of Skindred
Nowhere near enough people know about these guys, Witherspoon's voice is incredible.
Damn I hope you love this. Lajon is one of my fav vocalists of all time. Hopefully I won’t have to edit my hopeful reaction to your reaction 😂
(After reaction) Hell yes! I 10000% agree, when they do a sonic riff it sounds like no one else out there. Love when Lajon and Clint harmonize vocals. How do we describe Morgan’s vocals…not a scream, not sure harmony, it’s a unique vocal sound I could recognize anywhere.
No Band connects to the crowd more than Sevendust does live.
Tank killing it on the headbang!
lm 53 (CLT guy) These guys ARE Legends. Been looking you not done a reaction to The Warning 3 sisters from Mexico making some awesome stuff
One cannot ever disrespect the Dust. If it aint broke, dont fix it.
Btw Tank I can tell you they use Kemper profiling amps live so they run a clean stage now.
Dang. Came a long way from ripping amps inwards from stage right and left. Haha
