- Why do some NFL teams ALWAYS WIN, while others seem forever doomed for failure? Turns out, some NFL teams are just straight-up CURSED.

The Cincinnati Bengals could make a case for the "Bill Walsh curse". When Paul Brown retired as coach after the 1975 season he stupidly refused to hire his offensive coordinator, Bill Walsh, to succeed him. Walsh won two of his three Super Bowls at the expense of his former team and the Bengals still haven't done better than a runner up finish to the Rams following the 2021 season.
Im surprised you didn’t include the NFC East division curse where a team hasn’t won the division twice in a row since 2004. I get it doesn’t have to do with a single team, but man, some unlucky events have happened over the years in order to hold up this curse.
Yeah, and the Eagles had winning it 2 years in a row wrapped up last season, but somehow managed to implode during the last few games of the season, giving the title to Dallas. I thought for sure the Eagles were gonna break the curse.
Marcus Allen one of the earliest players I have true memories of watching him play for the Chiefs.... and he cursed the Raiders on his way out? THAT A BOY! 😂

Wdym by championship drought? If you’re talking about an NFC championship appearance, you guys made it in 2018. If you mean NFC North Champion, you won it just last season. You have 21 total playoff wins, 4 Super Bowl appearances, an all-time winning record, most playoff runs, and most division titles out of any team
Vikings have won many games over the years and made multiple deep playoff runs for decades. Only thing yall are missing so far is a Super Bowl title.

He wasn't even the QB when the REDSKINS won the Super Bowl in 1987. It was split between Doug Williams and Jay Schroeder.

Cardinals last won a title in 1947, 77 years ago. And this one wasn't disputed, the Chicago Cards won the championship game against the Eagles.

slight correction on Marcus Allen. NFL players unlike baseball players don't get enshrined representing a particular team. His plaque under his bust will list the teams and the years he played for them. ie, Earl Campbell's best years were with the Oilers,but he went in as a Saint as well

That would be the Curse of Freddie Gray. Since that incident in 2015, both teams have gone a combined 2-9 in the playoffs.

There's a long list of victims of that curse. Buck Showalter not putting in Zach Britton against the Blue Jays in 2016, the National Anthem protests in London by the Ravens, the Immaculate Extension, 4th and 12, losing to a 6th-seeded Titans team without even scoring a TD in the Divisional Round, the Chris Davis signing blowing up spectacularly, being responsible for having the biggest COVID outbreak in the league during 2020, a city that crumbled not once but twice as the #1 seed in 2023, and then you have the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge. The Orioles and Ravens also have a combined 2-9 record in the playoffs since then.

I am a Jets fan since 94 and can say it's absolutely incompetence NOT a curse. They lost Rodgers and refused to sign a back up. They do this to themselves because everyone gets injuries. Including the champions.

A side note to the curse of bobby layne. The Lions field has hosted the super bowl twice, the first being super bowl 16, the 49ers over the bengals....But then, their home field was the Silverdome in Pontiac. So the only Lombardi Trophy awarded in the city of Detroit went to.....Pittsburg, with Detroit native Jerome Bettis taking the MVP. Also the second part of the curse, that you left out was Layne saying "And pittsburg wins forever". then came their 4 Super Bowl titles in close succession

You have your facts wrong about Bobby Layne. He was traded BEFORE the 1957 season. The Lions won the 1957 championship with Tobin Rote at quarterback.
In the alternate universe? Layne was there when the Lions won, he was traded at the beginning of 1958 season.
Lane was 4-3 as the Lions QB in 1957.

There's no curse in Arizona. Their woes are due to bad management and cheap ownership not some silly curse. Also, how can it be a curse when the then Chicago Cardinals won the NFL championship 22 years AFTER the Pottsville Curse was said to have begun.

Call me crazy, but I believe there’s a new curse with the OPOTY award. Because each player that has won the award in his next season he gets injured. Here are some examples:
- 2017 Todd Gurley next season he was injured and then his downfall started.
- 2018 Patrick Mahomes misses two games in 2019.
- 2019 Michael Thomas spent his next season almost injured misses 2021 and almost the complete season of 2022
- 2020 Derrick Henry gets injured in his next season, comes back until playoffs
- 2021 Cooper Kupp gets injured in 2022 playing only 9 games
- 2022 Justin Jefferson misses 7 games due to injuries
- 2023 Christian McCaffrey unknown
