Wels you're the only one that can pull this off. You need to find a plot of land and sell the hermits small plots. In return you can plant a tree and give the hermits lordship status. This would be a great use of your mail system.
The builder brain that goes to the cafe for the coffee, and treats the S-tier books as an afterthought. (Also, I'm sure the people who work with custom models a lot like Cleo or Xisuma would be happy to help you repair your pumpkin-ified cups; unless you're trying out pumpkin spice lattes.)

you have a couple rooms in the basement you weren't sure about. one of them, you could turn into an ice house/freezer. i had done one in one of my castles and it turned out pretty good.

I've always wanted to see layers like that with leaves too -- especially if you could dye the leaves and give them a crunchy sound effect when walked over. Imagine an autumn forest, with trees full of orange, red, and yellow leaves, and different sized piles of fallen leaves scattered around the forest floor ^_^

As is always the case, mods fix all the shortcomings of vanilla. Framed Blocks is one of the best mods for builders. Not only can you slab and stair everything. There are a lot of different shapes. Divided blocks are great as it allows two textures on one block. Iskall isn’t trolling you. That is Beef’s Mission Possible mission.
If i could change ONE thing about Minecraft. That would be Beacons. I want Beacon effects to vary depending on which material you build it from. Maybe make the range of the Beacon larger or shorter depending on the material? Maybe create a new effect like Haste 7 that we can get ONLY from Netherite Beacons? I genuinely think its a crime that a Netherite Beacon gives the same effect as an iron beacon. Beacon effects being stronger or weaker depending on material will give players an actual incentive to make Diamonds and Netherite Beacons.
I agree with this idea in theory, but the effects would have to balanced around the material you use. For example, locking Haste II to a netherite beacon would be criminal because nobody who plays casually or doesn’t make a living from it would ever get one, and Haste is just too important to not have after a while. Other then that, yeah it’s an interesting thought
@@zombeef3074 When Netherite was first added, I remember folks suggesting it should have an added effect on top of the usual Beacon stuff. Specifically, it was suggested that within the area effected by the buff of a Netherite beacon, it was hostile mob proof.

hey wels! theres a very easy trigger command to make item frames invisible so you can place the coffee anywhere you want :) it’s “/trigger if_invisible”
With the tower that's been turned into a spare bedroom, you should make it accessible via ladder through the nether portal room and turn it into an alchemy tower. Deck it out with brewing stuff, magical items, and books. I would suggest an enchanting table, but you already have a place for that. That room would be good for an alchemy station as you access it through the nether portal room, which is also mystical. Alternatively, because it's the highest tower and has a nice view of the surroundings, you can place a meeting table with chairs in the middle, and put a map in item frames on top of the table. It can serve as a planning map strategy room, where you can also consult guests to show that you mean business. *TLDR:* I would recommend getting rid of the spare bedroom and putting in it's place either an alchemy room or a map war planning room with a meeting table.
Really glad to see you back in full force on hermitcraft Wels. Your videos brought me to hermitcraft back in season 4, and Minecraft in general with your kingdoms series. Hermitcraft wasn't the same without your videos.

Loud fans? Check 2 things. Cleanliness and Heatsink Paste. Gunked up fans make more noise as they work harder to spin. Over the years the heatsink paste between your CPU and the Heatsink/Fan dries and stops working properly. If you havent replaced it in over 3 years you should really clean and re-paste the CPU/Heatsink and your fan should quiet down substantially as the CPU is actually getting cooled as it should be
I appreciate these episodes of just bits and bobs and hearing your voice. The portal room looks nicely tucked out of the way. Glad that I’m not crazy for hearing a buzz/hum, sound is great!
A few years ago, in a castle-building series of Wels, he said that he demanded more shingle blocks like dark prismarine. And I still need that in the game, in combination with the full pack (slabs stairs and walls) for concrete and terracotta (that could be a good start Mojang). I hope in 1.22 or so we will get some of that. Let's pray for them (or ask for them in the feedback, it's more effective 😂)
Lol technically I guess Beef's room was a roundabout troll from Iskall! Also yeah when you pointed it out I noticed that the hum is gone now, so that's worked! I love how you include and decorate the nether portal, I remember when I watched your season 7 episode 7 I was inspired to similarly decorate my own portal in the world I was playing in at the time! It's so cool how you use every part of the castle interior, just enough detail blocks to feel lived-in without the smaller rooms getting too full!
Firstly, please go and get some books for the drinks you got. Mending is always useful (I commented too early :D. Apologies!). Second, in the server item frames CAN be invisible (trigger if_invisible). Lastly, the big "barrel" could actually have a barrel in the middle where you can store your drinks. And the hook can be below that because usually the taps on barrels are on the bottom side. not the middle. Great builds as always!
You and xB have such nice chemistry! I think you should build him a bedroom somewhere in the castle to go with beef's. And that's funny that sound was your computer fan, all this time I thought it was someone weed-whacking outside, and it's honestly kind of a comforting summer-y sound. Something to consider, since you're using so many lanterns in the castle, don't forget about soul lanterns! They might add an interesting pop to the more magical spaces like the enchanting room and the new portal room

Another cool possibility with sand and gravel would be something like the skulk veins where you could put it like a carpet on top of a block and have some sand or gravel on it, but you can still see the block through it a bit

You could always try applying a very minor noise gate to your microphone input. Just enough to cut out the PC fans but still accept all of your varying volumes. I won't pretend I'm an expert at audio mixing/processing.. Still trying to learn myself so I can stream in a crowded household.. But Noise Gates have been a godsend for me, even if hard to fine tune for my scenario. Should be pretty easy for yours. Wish you luck either way. Castle is coming out amazingly btw! Sincerely, I love all the life you're putting into it!

Hey there Wels, kind reminder that you can make the itemframes with the coffee cups invisible! I know you're not a fan of using armour stands and stuff too much but I think given that it's custom models anyway you may as well do it. Use /trigger if_invisible while standing next to or on the itemframe to turn them invisible (or visible if they are invisible already)
Melon and pumpkin heads? I know you said that thing about vanilla blocks not custom models. But heads are really close to pure vanilla to me. So I don't know how you would actually feel about it

One of my biggest pet peeves is not even all stone has stairs slabs and walls. Like why not quartz walls? Or calcite slabs? So annoying because great detail jobs but diorite walls usually look weird, especially because they aren't polished

I can't decide if "Beef's Spare Bedroom" was built by Iskall to try and frame Beef, or deliberately built by Beef with those colors and the bamboo to try and frame Iskall. HMMMMM Could always foil whichever one's plans that was by claiming that you had plans for that tower space, and move the "spare bedroom" down to somewhere more appropriate. Like the servants' quarters ... or even the dungeon.

Just going to throw two words out here: Wood Walls.
Not fences, but solid walls. Like how Netherbrick has walls *and* fences.
I love that about Netherbrick. I wish more blocks had that option.
And wood (or bamboo)+paper walls and sliding doors.
And I would also add the option of having wooden planks in the other direction.
The ability to use the stone cutter with any block to craft stairs, half slabs, fences, pane and sideway blocks for detailing.
I would love a woodcutter for the same thing, it'd be a lot less wasted wood

You can put a sea pickle on top of the pumpkin and melon to emulate stems
You could even see about getting your hands on some pumpkin and melon mini-blocks for the larder as well

The new placement of the PC seems to have fixed the problem! and the segment with Xb was super awesome.

I feel like the castle would be great place to play a game like and hide and seek or tag once all the interiors are done. Even just a place to host server events
One of my biggest pet peeves is not even all stone has stairs slabs and walls. Like why not quartz walls? Or calcite slabs? So annoying because great detail jobs but diorite walls usually look weird, especially because they aren't polished

I can't decide if "Beef's Spare Bedroom" was built by Iskall to try and frame Beef, or deliberately built by Beef with those colors and the bamboo to try and frame Iskall. HMMMMM
Could always foil whichever one's plans that was by claiming that you had plans for that tower space, and move the "spare bedroom" down to somewhere more appropriate. Like the servants' quarters ... or even the dungeon.

I would suggest to add a entrance to the portal room that you can fly in/out of, since it does get old going up and down ladders...
