    Looking very good! I might have to get another of these trucks. I have some FD decals from a prior kit. 😊
    I'm close to finishing the Moebius 65 Comet Cyclone. It has a similar problem with the front windshield. I guess it's their way. 😮

      It is a fun kit. I do like that 65 Comet Cyclone kit. I think if I test fit that glass before I painted I would have been in trouble, because I'm not sure if it would have come back out without cracking it.

    Coming along nicely. Looking forward to see how those 4 LEDs in the rooftop 'dome' look like with the 'spinning' effect.

      @@grandpamarkshobbies Missed that video but went back and watched it now. It does look great and the 4 LEDs will look better. It gave me an idea for a future build of my own. 😃 I've done a lot of arduino programming but have yet to use one in a model.

      Thanks. I've been using the minis on my kits, and they are great. The biggest problem is getting power to it. This one is big enough where I can drop a 9 volt in it. That little 12 volt battery goes dead too fast. I'm about to make a power base for my builds. LOL We'll see how that goes.

    • @dariosmodelbuilds
      @dariosmodelbuilds 3 месяца назад +1

      @@grandpamarkshobbies I struggle with how to power models as well. I've used batteries and used jacks with individual wall adaptors and have even given thought to using USB. Each solution has pros and cons. Ideally I would use a simple corded solution that would allow my to have a single source that could then easily have a wire harness going to all the models, but that's just not possible. I literally have boxes and boxes of adaptors I've collected over the years so that is my preference for now, but not suited to all models. Cars, and other smaller models have their own challenges (as you had here) and are not suitable for adaptors. So, in the end, I deal with each model as they come along.

      I've even thought to get some very small washers and attach lines to them and then power up the display board so when you put the car down the lights come on, but when you lift it up they go out. LOL Someday.

    Still looking great ! Take a look at copper foil tape - it comes in a roll (1/4 inch width is what I use).. It carries current in places where wires won't fit. The front windshield on the Moebius trucks is a known issue only because it's tight to fit. I had the same problem but forget how I solved it. What do you plan on doing about decals? 😃

    • @grandpamarkshobbies
      @grandpamarkshobbies  3 месяца назад +1

      I'll look into foil tape. I knew about the window, just didn't know what I needed to do to fix it. LOL For decals I was given some, but I will make some too.

    Well my friend , everything is coming together great.. Can't wait until we get to see the light show. 👍 If you want to cover the wires in the cab , you can cut a Black or Red tee-shirt and make a Headliner... Or cut a piece of really thin sheet plastic and make one.. Just an ideal to make it cleaner looking.. But honestly I don't think it matters.. Because no one is going to see up there unless they pick it up.. So heck , it's good as is.👍

    Thanks for the quick update Mark. The update was quick but the work was tedious I'll bet. LOL Geez you'll run anything people ask for LOL. Is there an emergency brake line run? LOL Don't run one please! It's all looking great as usual. Thanks again Mark.
    Oh geez I was thinking again...How would cutting a piece of thin Evergreen as a headliner. No wires exposed from the roof light. Come to think about it, uh oh thinking again, you could even put an interior dome light to show off that cool interior. Sorry for the adeled brain kickin in. Just had to mention it. LOL

    • @grandpamarkshobbies
      @grandpamarkshobbies  3 месяца назад +2

      Thank you very much. There isn't e brake lines. I wasn't able to find a good picture of how they ran, so I opted out. LOL
      I was thinking of doing a headliner, but decided that someone may want to see how I ran the lights if I ever get to a show, so I left it out. I was going to do kind of a false bottom thing up there, but I'm glad I didn't. I would have put it in before the glass, and it would have been even more of a pain to get that glass in.

    • @grandpamarkshobbies
      @grandpamarkshobbies  3 месяца назад +1

      You are very welcome. If you can hook the wires up to a battery you can hook them up to the Arduino, and I've done all the programming for you. LOL. I will have the code posted in the description. I'll also show how to install the Arduino software on the computer and how to load the code. That way if you want the lights set up like what I am doing you can just follow along and it should work.

      @@grandpamarkshobbies I just read up on what an Arduino board is and I'm pretty excited. I've done a number of projects with LEDs and just had to deal with the random flashing or cycling through RGB, this could be the solution for those and other projects that I've been stalled on. I still have lots of questions but now I have a starting point to find those answers. Lots of great beginner projects on that website!

      @grandpamarkshobbies  3 месяца назад +1

      There's not that many builds where you can hid an Arduino mini, but when you can you can do a lot with it. If I can swing it I still may add sound to this too.
