So sorry for the little hiatus! I was on another small trip recently and caught a fever and some virus that apparently usually happens in toddlers...interesting. I blame it on the 2 cruise ships that docked...anyways, I'm a lot better now...thinking about making that mushroom paprikash😁
Although not Hungarian, my mother's family were from part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and I grew up eating foods like the Hungarian fare you feature at my grandparents' house. It's fascinating to see them veganized. Thanks for posting!
Oh I bet you still remember those meals well! Delicious and hearty. I just tried doing the mushroom paprikash the other day. It was really good and I would love to make the millet dumpling in the video too☺
Thanks for sharing your experience with vegan food in Budapest. When I was there, there was a Wok/noodle place that basically saved me. I ordered a pasta dish in a restaurant once and according to the menu it was vegan, but I got it with a fried egg on top 😮 LOL.
Oooh, I knew I should have included prices....there wasn't tipping in Budapest, though as with any service sector, I'm sure the servers appreciate any gratuities. I don't remember the prices being too bad (like reasonable for a tourist area), but let me list the restaurants here: 1. Las Vegans 2. Napfenyes 3. Naspolya Nassolda 4. Vegan Garden
