    I loved this on MyCrossword ! Tim really writes great clues, clever and witty. 9a was a particular fave. Agree it was really top-notch Tim, please keep them coming

    I think 26a uses about as an anagram indicator, so it's see dr (about/jumbled up) then an "a" for redse a.
    All in all a very nice puzzle. Unsure of the def for yacht on 4d and don't understand cons either in 23d.

      Thanks! I've since been told that Con is an archaic word for study - and a staple of Cryptics. So one to remember!

    Con is an archaic term for study. It means learn by heart. Pretty obscure though

      Thank you! I've since been told it's used a lot in Cryptics. It was a new one for me - but one for the memory banks now :)
