One thing I really like is how you take me back in time. When I was a kid, my Dad (who would have been 100 yrs old today) was in that area. There were a couple guys living there that looked like they crawled out of a cave. As soon as they saw us coming, they grabbed their rifles and dagger eyed us as we drove past. The place was in pretty ruff condition then. I don’t know if they were mining or just living there, but definitely not friendly.
@@michaeltaylor4984 lived in he desert 54 years never have I come across banjo players. Hell not many that even liked banjo music or should I say bluegrass type music.
Omgosh I just found an assayer’s cup thing. (I do not know the terminology or equipment names but husband does) anyhow I found the clay/ceramic cup where they’d melt the gold in. I believe to test the purity of the gold? Due to where I live we can’t take those kinds of things. But it was in almost perfect condition. Only a little bit of cracking in the sides. Such good condition it could probably still be used. Oddly that area is heavily trafficked. It was Shocking that I found it. I believe I was able to find it cause we had a few weekends of heavy rains. Love this channel thank you for doing this and posting the videos of your adventures and educating us.
I wonder the cost of thise shacks with todays lumber prices lol I'd love to find an old complete safe to restore to functioning. Great video, thank you

If it's a weather station out there? It most likely belongs to DRI.
And the little building it looks like they might be a hidden room behind the wall on the back
