- Dogs are killing and eating dogs in Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh, due to changes in their environment in the past few years. Same factors have contributed to man-animal conflict.
Moved by the plight of stray dogs, a local family decided to reach out to our animal rescue - 400km away - near Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. We confirmed the ground reality, and decided to help.
This short film is about our journey to Spiti Valley, and our quest to understand and work towards solving the problem. This film has the answers we found.
Part travelogue, part documentary...we've kept it real. Since we couldn't take you to Spiti with us, we've tried to bring Spiti to you. Hope your experience watching it as good as ours making it.

Spiti valley mein pichle kuch saal mein aaye parivartan ki wajah se kuch saalon se kutte ek doosre ko khaane lage hain. Inhi karno se Insaan aur janwaron mein tanaav ho gaya hai.
Stray dogs ki durdasha dekh, ek sthaniya parivaar ne humein sampark kiya. Hamare animal rescue 400kms door, Dharamshala, Himachal ke nazdeek hai. Hum wahaan gaye, jaanch partal ki aur unki madad karne ki thaan li.
Yeh short film humare Spiti valley ke safar ke baare mein hai, jahan ham is samasya ko samajhne ki aur hal karne ki koshish karte hain.
Hum aapko Spiti toh nahi le jaa paye, lekin iss film ke madhyam se hum Spiti ko aaapke paas laye hain. Umeed hai ki aapko yeh film dekhne mein utna hi achha lage aaya ho, jitna humein ise banaane mein laga.

When I was crying because I was sad, my dog looked at me worriedly. There are many people who have had this experience. Dogs are always watching their owner's expression and condition, so if you are less energetic and depressed than usual, they may immediately sense something is wrong and gently snuggle up to you without saying a word. I appreciate your endeavours . The same problem is also in Lahaul area especially Keylong , where dogs find no food in extreme winters due to closing of all the local dhabas and restaurants .

I would like to point out the fact that how the team has appropriately added scenes with varying emotions. The film has scenes of celebration, a bit of fun, people being goofy, adorable kids, magical mountain views to pefectly balance out such a heart breaking and serious subject of those dog's condition. @@peepalfarm are injured dogs treated, or left to their fate? Of the documentary I understood little, only how the tribe lives and the dogs that live around, I saw the food for the dogs. I miss the sense of whole, only for dissemination to knowledge. Maybe it's the language, something escapes me.

I am ur follower now till two years because of u I took the initiative of feeding street dogs in my locality and also adopted a street dog. appreciate people farm and Robin for getting to the root cause of the problem and offering help. You guys are amazing. Being an animal activist I have faced a similar problem in highway areas where dogs get nothing to eat and end up attacking rabbits and squirrels for food. I have contributed to a stabilization program and I think that's very important considering this scenario.

People just make travel videos on Spiti and even we are one of them but this video is just so touchy ,informative and shows a complete diffrent side of this region. You are doing a Tremendous job and your love for animals is pure. Bhagwan Spiti mein insano or dogs ke beech ki is bhut puraani dushmani ko khatam karne mein aapki madat karein. When I will go there again in Spiti I am going to have a completely diffrent Perception about this place ,people and animals around. 🤗🤗
