Kelly, this technique and exercise will be so handy for me. I have improved no end with the strumming, in the short time I have followed you. I can do the odd hammer on now (still to perfect it though). Like you said my brain seems to lose a gear or two following my hands, and vice versa sometimes too. :-) This technique though enhances the sound and is definitely one to master. Thank you.
That's great Therese! It's always encouraging when you can see that progress!! Glad to hear it!! Kelly
Why did I constantly expect to hear a midnight special chorus? lol!! Great exercise Kelly.👏👏👏👏 👏👏👏
Right?? I did the same thing! I'm going to do one on that (again) soon too.
Fun song Kelly! The little embellishments really jazz it up 😄. Thanks!
Thanks Wanda!! Glad you liked it! Nothing like a little Hank to start the weekend! Kelly
@@fourstringstrummer Could you please do a video on triplets, and how to integrate them into your strumming? Thanks!
@@wandam3295 thanks Wanda - I'll put it on the list!
This is cool Kelly. Can’t believe I missed this one !! I love it !!!
Haha! Glad you love it Bonnie! Have fun!!!
Nice tune....What about "PAY ME MY MONEY DOWN" as a suggestion, using F. & C7. Cords. Best wishes. Dave G.
Hey Dave! Thanks! I'll have a look at that one - it's now on my list! Kelly
Kelly, really enjoy your videos, and strumming techniques, but i have problems with rhythm and how many paint brushes to do in 4/4 or3/4 etc
can you help me
Great question, and I know that can be a challenging thing to get your head (and hands) around! I am sure Kelly will provide you with a great answer, but for now just know that many people will relate :-) (Jamie Houston)
Hey Dan! Glad you are enjoying the videos! Check out this one where we go into the 3/4 strum. It's basically just a modified version of the Paintbrush strum. You just hit with your thumb on the G string then two (brush) strums. The strumming instruction happens at 1:20 of the video ruclips.net/video/SRVvgVg6iU4/видео.htmlsi=onAZBGQQ_c4YtzdP
Hope that helps! Kelly
