- Severe flooding on Airline Drive near the Orleans/Jefferson Parish line has some cars turning around and others trying to make it through.
Dozens of streets were closed and many motorists tried to traverse Airline Drive, but some had to turn around.
I was wondering why he was driving deeper into the water lol. His insurance company will use this footage to deny his claim 😩🤣
I was confused because the news lady kept saying Airline Drive but it’s actually Airline Highway , she needs to know that there is an Airline Drive which is not where she was reporting from…
What is more confusing is that they changed it to Airline Drive but if you google map Airline it has both Drive and Highway on the map. I just say Airline lol

I’m the girl in the white sedan. I didn’t hit the pole and the car behind me didn’t hit me. A garbage truck sped through the water and pushed it all into my engine and flooded it. Pretty funny I’m on the news I was really mad at the truck and the guy was trying to help🤣

It was nearly 8 inches of rain in a few hours, and the water was gone before sunset. The canals are doing their job and draining to the lake.
They been turning off them pumps trying to run the rest out .

Where the hell are the police!? Warn people , divert traffic, anything. I hate this stupid city in times like this. The state police are happy to prey on commuters with their speed traps literally just a few blocks from here. But ensure safety and efficiency??? Those jerks are nowhere to be found.

Why are you blaming the police? The flash flood emergency was sent out way before this happened warning people not to drive.
Cars are not submarines. They are not water tight . You drive through a lake it’s coming into your car under the doors......
