@@SkunkWorks2001 It's not impossible if someone wanted a supplemental drone for some reason. Recreationally, I use the Neo to test out a flight path for my Avata 2 and then record the with the Avata 2 when I'm happy with my path. If I was getting paid, I would use the Neo for the same reason to save battery on my Avata.
Our community really needs to start supporting recreational use more. Too much focus on commercial users. The community needs to insist on legislation that allows recreational users more freedoms and access to broader definitions. For an example, If I am not a roofer, then why should I need a part 107 license to inspect my roof if I think it may be damaged? With the power of most consumer drone software nowadays VLOS should be a thing of the past for all users as long as the drone has built in safety software VLOS is mute. Altitude restrictions are already hard coded. No fly zones are also hard coded. We need to start insisting on updated legislation for more recreational use and modern drone technologies. JMHO.
About 20 years ago I had the RC bug when the drone was brand new. I laughed at it saying it looks like a big insect with propellers. But I loved flying my rc airplanes and helicopters at the park. In 2013 I divorced and got out of the hobby. Several years ago I got my first real drone. It was a DJI mini 2 drone. I loved it but found big brother FAA had many regulations and where to fly was a problem. And people tend to have a fascination and fear about drones, especially lately.
What do you mean by "The Public" when you were referring to Remote ID? Law enforcement I understand but why does the public need to know any of that info?
Currently, remote ID is supposed to transmit the location of the drone, who it belongs to, and where the remote pilot is while flying it. Supposed to be for public safety. It's a "hot topic button" for sure. I get it for law enforcement. But we the public, don't have access to each others vehicle registration information. Only law enforcement does. And I'm good with that. I don't think the public needs to have access to this information either. Just my opinion, for what it's worth.
BVLOS sounds like fun but unfortunately most peoples controllers only transmit within line of sight anyway. If you don’t have line of sight your radio waves probably don’t either. Commercial delivery and other long range BVLOS will likely use LTE or other networked connections.
Part 108 will do nothing for most of us, so what's the big deal? It appears to me that it's only relevant to companies wishing to conduct drone deliveries. (Good luck with that during bad weather.) If you don't have deep pockets or aren't making a substantial living off your drones, forget about it.
So, commercial operators will have BVLOS privileges, but recreational pilots will not. That's what we get with corrupt government driven by lobbyists. 👎
I dont think the local or federal government are going to have the resouces for a drone task force to watch every flight from millions of drones around the country! Stick to the basics, dont do anything stupid and i think we will be ok.
Alll drones regardless of all up weight require RID? When I took the Part 107 test in November - UAS under 250g, did not require registration or RID. Guess I better try w/o success to get my backyard designated as a fria, so I can fly whoops park flyers
@StanleyJennifer I understand that part, but the video is titled 2025 drone rules. But I guess one would assume this channel is specifically for Part 107 pilots. Sorry not trying to be difficult, but details help.
What excites you most about the future of drones in 2025?
We need more companies that directly compete with Dji in the US. NOT just Autel
Nothing
Under 250 grams, NO remote ID required.
Only rec flyers. ALL 107's require it. RID is already there on newer drones
107 flying a Neo?

Thank you!
Thank you UAV Coach. :)

IMHO, what you fly is more important than why you fly.
Thanks

Yes😊👍
Why do they single out DJI?

Under 250 Grams DOES NOT require Remote ID, am I correct??? I fly a DJI Mini 2 recreationally.
Correct.
Don't put any filter on your mini 2 as you will be over 250 grams.
Let's say I go to COSTCO and buy one of those DJI MINI drones and then later our government deems them to be a threat, how do I get my money back?
😂😂😂😂😂. Does your gov care? Most drones bought before any baan would typically be grandfathered in. Pays to pay attention.

If flown commercially.

Rec flyers don't need RID if kept under 250 which is impossible when using strobes and other add ones
@@grumpeedaryl1431not a sole 107 vlog.
At :44 second mark - If your drone requires registration…….your drone will need RID to be compliant.
I will never put remore ID on any of my bird. The DJI ban would be fabulous.
Sure. Don't comply with the limited requirements now so they will place harsher ones in the near future and paint us all with a very wide brush! 🙄
