Hey DJI Enterprise - thermal question here! I noticed the FOV on the M4T is 45°, and the FOV on the existing M3T is 61°. Since the thermal camera has the same 640×512 resolution as the M3T, won't mapping jobs take WAY LONGER since we'll have such a decrease in overlap for the same altitude? However, does the M4T support super resolution mode during thermal mapping at a 0.7 second shutter interval? That's the only possible way this makes sense. And as a follow up to that, since the super resolution is only scaling up off of the 640×512 sensor, is the super resolution thermal image good enough to compensate for the 26% increase in altitude I'll have to fly at? I need answers! My clients need to know too. Please respond - as I have not been able to get confirmation for this concern. Thank you!
The fov is smaller because the focal length is increased from 40 to 53 mm, so you will fly higher to keep the overlap with the needed GSD, which is good for safety reasons, and you will have the same flight time. The only issue is to have also an optimal RGB GSD for the platform who analyzes this data because you will increase the height. if the drone allows 0.7 thermal shooting with super resolution storing rjpeg this will hugely increase the efficiency. But i doubt that you can do this in mapping mode. We will see but the semi realistic mode will be to use super resolution (2s interval) to increase the height even more and to use the 70mm camera for rgb inspection if the RGB GSD is not compliant with the wide 24mm camera. The 2 things that will lower the flight time is the photos interval for higher speed and the photo resolution for bigger heights.
Wish DJI would combine the thermal camera and mechanical camera to a single platform so I only have to purchase one drone not two. The only thing I can think of is marketing wants us to purchase two drones instead of one.
@@kizzjd9578m30t is a cool body and a lot larger than this 4. This one has newer awesome features but lacks weather proofing of the M30t which is most users complaint. That said the entry price will be better for those new to enterprise/industrial use and police departments that have tighter budgets and haven’t blue listed DJI yet.. my area police have banned them
This is just an M3E with a new firmware update. Even the 4/3" 20MP camera is the same. Majority of these new features could and should have been available on the M3E long ago. Consumer drones have been able to detect people, vehicles and boats for a long time. Now, DJI acts like its a new breakthrough and slaps the AI buzz word to it.
@TheEragoon The Mini 2 with an under powered DJI RC can recognize a car or person when tracking. The 6.5 year old P4 RTK can map in real time when paired with Terra. This new 5-Direction Smart Oblique mission type is just an additional tilt of the gimbal. A tilt that the M3E is more than capable of.
People have been creating 3D models of cell towers since the Phantom 4 pro. While steel structures and wood construction like studded walls are a challenge for photogrammetry, this drone should do it better than any previous drone. For the best point cloud of something like that you would ideally want to use lidar.
Yes, you can use the DJI Matrice 4E for surveying and mapping. With its built-in RTK and enhanced geospatial mapping capability, the Matrice 4E achieves millimeter-level accuracy for image resolution.
The object identification via AI is going to be a HUGE game changer for SAR work. Hoping to get some insight on thermal mapping VS the M30T or M3T. Can you guys get into this a bit?
Why didn’t they add anything? There literally nothing new aside from the ai animal counting thing that’s useful for like 3 jobs. It should have been released as a mavic agras… it’s more useful for agriculture than any other “mavic” class enterprise drone, and I don’t get what they are thinking
My question is -- while we acknowledge the new M4 doesnt have an official IP rating... is it more protected against (say morning mist), than Mavic 3? Happy M3T pilot here.
Yes, you can attach a LiDAR device to the DJI Matrice 4 Series. However, it requires third-party developers to create compatible LiDAR solutions specifically for the Matrice 4 Series. For more possibilities of the Matrice 4 Series, please feel free to contact us at enterprise.dji.com/matrice-4-series#contact
Thank you for the comment! The DJI Matrice 4 Series has a maximum flight time of 49 minutes. For more information about the Matrice 4 Series, please feel free to learn more at brnw.ch/21wPT01
Thank you for asking! The Matrice 4T is available from $7,299. I just want one drone with all of the options. I don't want to have to lug around two drones. I'll pay the price of both drone in one just to not have the two drones. Other than that I'm excited for these bad boys!!!
As a first impression, I must say that DJI has definitively a great technology at their fingers tips! That said: - Why not apply different payloads instead of forcing the customers to buy different drones? The money gain is not enough? - The camera of 4E remain 20mpx, like the 3E? I have to fly high for photogrammetry, and this resolution is not the best choice. - There is no parachute included? In my opinion, operations in urban areas requires this accessory, and must be a standard in basic drone configuration! Always work in maximal security! - DJI terra software license per se is already too expensive……. Instead of ameliorating its features, your choice is to put in the market a new software? C'mon!

Very very disappointed. Does not have IP55 rating. I work in a country where it rains 6 months of the year. I cannot fly either of these in the rain! M30T is still the go to!
the Matrice is specifically developed for enterprise users while the enterprise edition was developed for...? it almost seems like they should just start building them modular. and let you kit out a base and choose gimbal and features and then keep people in eco system by buying upgrades and saving on changing production lines so often tbh.... motors props etc if you want to stay ultra closed / gated develop proprietary connections for components so that way it stalls companies out from making aftermarket parts if you are worried about people doing whatever they want with purchased property after its sold. this planned obsolescence is slowly getting old even for businesses.

noticed the same as well
Do you need a job in Europe?
This has to be the worlds most technologically advanced drone I've ever seen for us Part 107 guys. Just WOW!!! Very well done DJI!!

I’m quite suprized that the 4 series don’t come with thermal as standard kinda crazy
So a zoom, thermal, lrf, and low light camera? All in one sensor? Seems a bit much for a drone this size. Atleast for now

if I had been waterproof, I would have bought it right away.. very disappointed that it isn't and will keep waiting for waterproof version.
what is the IP rating of these two new UAS? can they work in demending weather conditionlike rain and snow?
No IP rating
@@Tiercot No IP Announced or It's not allowed at all to use it during bad weather, for exemple?

you don't know what you are talking about. All those "firmware" upgrade features require a lot more processing power.

BRAVO DJI! 💯
I’ve been waiting on that RC! 😉👏🏼
My order is placed for a 4E to replace my P4RTK, looking forward to getting my hands on it!
If you could update us how it goes, Im still using a p4rtk
