Brilliant video, thought I recognised the chap in the left seat! It's really cool that you can fly a low approach over the shuttle landing site. You guys are going to end up with a queue to the door of holidaying pilots :)
Glad you enjoyed the SLF tour. I used to work on the Shuttle program and have also done a few videos showing people that approach, they always love it, very glad NASA lets people fly it now. BTW I just flew to Kissimmee Gateway for the first time recently and thought of this channel, always enjoy your videos.
BUT, the last sidekick chat we had a few months back you said we certainty that Robin had become Catwoman!? Regardless, love the videos! What flying is all about.
you should of did some touch and go's at Titusville airport. That's where I go to school at. it's a really nice airport. I wish I knew ya'll were coming because I live in Merritt Island and I could of went to Titusville airport and finely got to meet all of you. maybe next time.
+LewDix Aviation it would break the sound barrier, but you wouldn't hear the sonic boom unless you were at 20,000ft or so, according to NASA. The boom you hear, is shortly before it lands.
We used to hear the concorde sonic booms from just outside Taunton, Somerset as it decelerated over the Bristol Channel, so I wouldn't say you had to be at that height to hear it necessarily. Whether it could be heard over the din of the rocket engines is another thing. You can certainly see the shockwaves in the exhaust plumes.
Hey Lewix, , have you ever thought about flight sharing your spare seats on wingly? en.wingly.io/index.php?page=flights&flight=4857&lang=en-GB - is there anything like that in the US?
It was a wonderful flight. Absolutely amazing to finally meet you guys...'the funniest pilots on RUclips'
Thanks Jon.. Absolute pleasure to fly with you
I completely agree, never fail to laugh or smile watching these videos!
