One of the best Hamilton launched! Near perfect proportion, redesigned lugs and case dimensions, AR coating, classic yet timeless design, everything improved!
❤ the murph 38…no date, uncluttered dial (unlike the khaki), great proportions, long power reserve, classy font, charming piece ! Don’t care for the strap tho, but that can be swapped
I bought this Murph in 38mm, and I love wearing it! Its simplicity is what draws me in, and it certainly wins bonus points for being in the movie Interstellar. I know a lot of people aren't fond of the leather strap, but after it's been broken in for a few days, it's actually quite comfortable. I did buy an Uncle Strap "Senator" bracelet for it, though, because I kind of like that Explorer feel. At first, the $895 USD retail price seemed a little bit high, considering that you can get the Khaki Field Automatic for a lot less. But I was able to find a really good deal ($671 on Trifecta Watches), and I jumped on it immediately. No regrets.
I like the movie. Having design a watch for the movie and then selling it is pretty cool story. 42 really looks too big but the 38 is bit small in my opinion. I'm waiting for the 40mm and I'll own one then. Thank you for the video.
This is a gorgeous watch. The domed crystal is very reflective and I don't suppose that can be avoided. My only problem with it is that I don't want to wear any of my other watches now !
Duly Appreciate the humble way of presentation, subscribed, please do not lose your simple way of presenting when you have 1 million subs. Thanks and lots of love from the Himalayas
The price point on this piece definitely needs to come down, and hopefully it will. Other than its connection to the film (which is less so with this iteration) and its simple understated design, I'm not seeing enough that is exceptional about it to warrant the MSRP. I own two Hamiltons with the H-10 movement, both of which were sub-$500 USD. Apparently there's a higher cost associated with Hamilton listening to consumers--bit of a cash grab happening with this one.
I WISH IT HAD A METAL STRAP. I have zero interest in movie history or any of that BS, but the watch itself is stunning. Just wish it had a "matching" metal strap.
David I know what you mean.. I just tried not to give any spoiler on the video. You are right but in another way.. the original watch of course did not have any code on top.. I would also prefer it with a Morse code though
I think its laughable that a struggling farmer has the disposable income to afford not one, but two, Hamiltons. One of which is a custom one off that he just gave away. 😂
Dudes talks way to much about everything but the watch. I had to leave before he even addressed the watch my time means too much to me. Get to the point bro.
Ok bro. But you always have the option to fast forward. Every other channel shows the watch in the end. I thought some extra info will be better. Anyway.. Your choice and I took my note about your comment. Cheers
Agree. I find that lots of brands release smaller versions of their watches but fuck them up by not making them as good as their bigger brother. It’s consistent in almost all brands.
@@UCZ15 not sure how this is worse than the bigger. Objectively, it’s better in several ways. New anti magnetic properties, inner AR coating and much more universal proportions. Think before you comment something that doesn’t make any sense.

I fully agree with you..especially about the great proportions. Every detail now looks great to my eyes. BTW, welcome to the channel ;)

Nice review. Happy to see smaller case sizes becoming more popular.
You and me both!... Thanks for the comment 👍

I owned the 42mm version but I really like this smaller version.

Good luck with your new channel…I just watched interstellar for the 2nd time last night. Great flick!
Awesome! Thank you!
One of the watches in my list. Very glad to hear that 38 version is available. Thanks Erk bey for the movie, following you in all languages :)
My pleasure!

I personally love the watch, but you’re statement is correct
I want to know if there is a bracelet option for this. Either after market, or the same bracelet for the regular Hamilton Khaki field.
Hi Ben. One of my friends tried the Khaki Field mechanical 38mm's bracelet on this one YES it fits perfectly fine!
@@thewatchloupe Helpful! Thank you
Price ?
I believe the 42 mm size is important! I am all about movies! Since you don't want to give away the movie,I wont reveal why?
Great video. You deserve more subs so... you got mine.
Thanks for the sub Phil! Much appreciated
I WISH IT HAD A METAL STRAP.

I think the 38mm Khaki field mechanical bracelet is fitting perfectly to this case. So why not in the future
Great review brother
Glad you liked it. Thanks bro.
Save yourself 700 bucks and get an ML08 Militado, ten times more accurate as well 😊
İngilizce content sevindirdi abi. Başarılar, takipteyiz. 🥰

It should at least have had the Morse and Eureka! If you don't get it watch the movie again!

Thank you Watch Loupe!
Wonderfull🧿
Ama biz Türkçe video bekliyoruz ;)
I don't understand what you wrote. Only in English please :)
In my opinion,I dont feel this Watch is"The Murph" I've watched Interstellar 29 times,I own the DVD!
Thanks. Can you give a new Video with different Straps?
Thanks Johannes. I may do so. Nato straps would look great IMO.
@@thewatchloupe nice. by the way, great video quality for a new channel. Keep going.
Many thanks. This is a new channel, but this is not my first channel :) I have some YT experience here and there :)
in the end it is a hamilton

Way too expensive, and the same crappy Hamilton crystal that reflects like a damn mirror.
New murph is boring, too dressy, and has no ar coating. Total 💩
It has inner AR coating according to specs.

Your wrong on several fronts here.
