I use to work in that museum in Blackpool years ago. It has changed its name a few times. When i worked there it was the UFO exhibition. But it has been The Doctor Who Exhibition, The Star Trek Exhibition, etc. The owner David Boyle passed away a few years ago and he had his own show on TV called the workings of the universe, on the subject of UFOs and ancient aliens, etc.
Wow, thanks for the information. I only went there once when it was the Dr Who exhibition, about 1984 I think. Really enjoyed it but always prefers the Longleat one.
great video and wow what a collection. The cyberleader head from revenge of the cybermen, shown in the video has a lamp in place at the top of the head, as there should be the gun, 4 small tubes reset within a recess. I remember having to re cut some tubing for mine but was never sure what length they needed to be , other than watching the episodes to judge.
Fantastic video as always, can't wait to see the next video of George's Doctor Who merchandise, loved seeing the early Reeltime Pictures Myth Makers videos. 57 interviews were released on VHS Video between 1984 and the end of the 1990's. Reeltime pictures stopped releasing on VHS VIdeo and started releasing on DVD in 2001 beginning by re-releasing on DVD the aforementioned 57 interviews before continuing to release further new ones on DVD. As of today (including the original 57) there have been 179 Myth Makers released by Reeltime Pictures on DVD (the latest one was an interview with Michael Troughton) with the range continuing with further releases in the future. Also just to confirm (because you and george weren't sure in the video) all of the other Reeltime pictures VHS videos you looked at in the video have also been re-released on DVD by Reeltime pictures as well as various other Doctor who related titles that they have released on DVD since 2001.
Fantastic information, thanks so much. I always thought Reeltime did an amazing job with these. Still lots more of George's collection to get through 🙂
At the 1h 27m mark where you start to look at the VHS of 'The Crusade and The Space Museum' - you mention that it has the (missing) 'The Lion' episode - that's the one that Paul Scoones & Neil Lambess helped find. My co-host 'The6thDoctor' interviewed Paul and talked about that on one of our Cultdom Collective Podcast 'Interview' episodes - way back in Oct 2010 :-)
amazing how they put out all those items AFTER the show had stopped in 1989. the highlights seem to be the full size cyberman helmets and talking daleks. although we had to wait longer for the large remote control daleks and we STILL DO NOT have a large remote control DALEK SUPREME from planet of the daleks that is 100% accurate OR DALEK EMPEROR from EVIL OF THE DALEKS. it is time they made these.
@@JulesBurt PS i noticed there IS a troughton emperor dalek but that is a static (comet model-I think?) a remote control large one (maybe 2 or 3 feet high) with booming voice is what we all need. there was a FULL SIZE replica at one of the dalek/dr who conventions which was unreal.

Fantastic information Dave, thanks so much. I remember that set exactly when it was released. Great story.
The Red Dalek from the second Peter Cushing movie is possibly the coolest Dalek of all time.
I would agree, totally awesome, iconic in fact.

Yes, it just goes to show how popular the show was, even after it had been cancelled. At least we got all those Darks when we did.

Cool
