Such an important video that everyone needs to watch. I find a lot of couples in my financial work leave it up to one partner in the relationship to handle all the finances & when shit happens the other doesn’t know what to do! Great video.
Karen Giglio, you are so right. It is so sad to see someone struggling with the emotional loss and be totally lost, when it comes to their finances, after Shit Happens.
Thank you Sue Ferreria for sharing this video with your tribe. We want families to get ahead of life before life serves up a bump in the road and know that with videos like this, we'll inspire so many to do exactly that.
Life Goes On Roadmap - thank you for providing the solution for us. This subject is so important and as you know, needs to be discussed in every household and family, and action taken to have everyone understand their financial situation. 😀😀
They are scary but real. Definitely a will is first on your list for you both. It is such a hassle if you die intestate and the government will get a significant cut - not good!
This is SUCH an important video. The stories I could tell! Went through a lot of this when my Mom got ill and then died. I'm smart now, and share my stories so others are more prepared and 'smarter' and so they know they are not alone.... I'm really glad you are talking about this, because people need it. And women reallllly need this in particular. Sorry you had to go through all of this. And happy you are sharing this for others so they can be powerful. Excellent video. EXCELLENT. Glad you are talking of it. Do more. WIll look forward to your next with your kids.... ~Elizabeth
Hi, Wild Woman Enchanted, Yes, this video has hit a chord. It's a subject always shifting around in the background and whether it's your own finances, those of your spouse or parents, it's mandatory to know where the accounts, passwords etc are. It is not always a death that brings this subject to the fore but with the Bulge of Boomers heading into their later years, there is going to be a lot of misery that could have been averted. US - 58% dying without a will - Canada 56% - these are horrific stats and a good starting place.
Thanks for your kind words, You Travel Insurance! Yes, it is well worth giving thought to and taking action. Recently my lawyer retired and sadly, my accountant died, so I had to revisit all my financial stuff with a new lawyer and accountant. I have known I needed to re-do everything for quite a while, but it took these two events to force me to take action. Yesterday - new will and executor, new end of life directive, new power of attorney. Next week, when my kids arrive, family conference and all my details documented. This feels so good!
Sometimes we need to talk about the things that are difficult - this is really helpful information. I have half-heartedly done some of these things but I definitely need to revisit this topic...
So true, you just never know what's going to happen. This is a far more important topic than many people realize. It's far better to have a plan in place than to take your chances. Thanks for sharing, cheers!
Great tips, luckily I do have all of this easy to access. Great to see that I have actually paid attention to the important things. This is really important, thanks for shining a light on it.
Thanks! Partly learned from my Sister passing and having to go through all her things to sort out her financial situation. Made me appreciate being organized with this and helped me to see what more to do.
I know most people can't say they do, but I do. I use to sell insurance and do financial planning. So this has been engraved into my being. Such great advice to take to heart and implement for financial peace and planning!
Thank you, RVersity and congratulations for being one of the few. As I said in the video, I saw this daily in my years as an anesthesiologist, where patients' lives and the lives of their families changed in a moment. It's a subject we'd rather not face, until sadly, it is too late.
Trina Belcik, it's worth having that Holy Crap Moment! I have quite a bit organized but I realized it is totally out of date. I'm looking forward to updating my info with my kids next week.
Heather Gerhardt - this video has already sparked a lot of comment. A friend has just called me to share the experience he had with his mother, who did not want to face this issue, but she was slipping into dementia, so her life information was disappearing. The conversation" distressed her, so it distressed my friend too, but the talk had to take place. This is a very big elephant in the room.
Do you know your financials If something happened to your spouse or life partner tomorrow?
Thanks for sharing this... very insightful!
My pleasure, Sandra Rolus, I am amazed at the relief I feel at getting my information updated and organized.
Great video...bless you.

Sue, my husband and I have definitely been reviewing our financials closer. It's something we need to look at more often. Thanks for sharing.
Well done, Heather and Husband - you are ahead of the crowd, but you are right - it needs constant updating - that is where I fell behind.

Great video and a topic that’s important to discuss. Thank you for the information.

This is great! I'm currently in the process of getting more clarity and understanding of our financial standing, so this is perfect. Thank you!
Dr Cortney Baker - Yes - it's a very important topic.
Thank you and I did have that oh crap moment! We talk about a will but have yet to get one!! I will be checking out the road map. Thank you!!!
Trina Belcik, it's worth having that Holy Crap Moment!
I have quite a bit organized but I realized it is totally out of date.
I'm looking forward to updating my info with my kids next week.
We use lastpass and have a master password that reveals it all. I have to know. Great great advice. Not sure my mom would know everything.
