Where did all the good RUclips videos go? I haven't seen one in AGES. But this is how it's done. Quick explanation that was well articulated. It delivered a message that was valuable and in accord with the Title. No begging for me to like or subscribe to the channel, no stupid title picture, no "5 easy ways everyone is secretly hoping you NEVER know about weather curtains in 2019". Just the good old RUclips instructional video.

Thank you for being to the point and not wasting my time with ego branding splashing wast of time intros or the need to edit with annoying music filler.. Well taught class which is the best I've seen. I am now capable.

This is exactly what I was looking for - I've got a 15'W x 10'H clear porch curtain that I'm using for a carport. Above is the deck and this is the easiest and best explanation I've seen on how to do this simply and economically! Many thanks!

Thanks for the great video. We made a huge roller shade to close off the end of our RV carport.
12 ft wide and 12.5 ft long, made with waterproof canvas. Used 3 cords, 1 1/4 in PVC pipe.
    Works great so far.

I wanted a solution to having screens on my enclosed porch only when I wanted to keep the bugs out, and otherwise enjoy my porch more by looking directly into the yard without having to look through a black screen. I'll make one of these and roll down when I need to. Awesome video and so easy. ty!

Great video! Do you have any recommendations for the thickness of the cord, or what material it's made of? Nylon, polyester? I would think not cotton.

I tried this on the vinyl curtains and it did not work. The bar is used is not as thick and there is no rolling, just the curtain is pulled up halfway. I have eyelets at the bottom of the curtain and attached the pole with cable ties. Wondering if that's causing an issue. Any help appreciated. I checked the drawstrings are correct too.

This is exactly what I've been looking for but my concern is what you say, what makes the pvc pipe actuall roll?, as opposed to just lifting and consequently only scrunching the vinyl together. I see he's not answering any questions, so would appreciate knowing if anyone out there found a solution to this.

I'd like to frame them in like screen to create a 3-season room. How thick must the vinyl be to hold in air-conditioning during hot/humid Florida summers? What type of vinyl will resist yellowing in the sunlight?

Get a cheap jam cleat or clam cleat to hold the rope in place rather than winding it around something.

instead of the 2 tie off points, you could use one if you knotted the string with a hoop sticking out..simple and faster than looping it a few times.
