I actually have been covering (closing in) my porches for about 15 yrs w20 gauge vinyl. With / slats & as tight as I c/ make it. (Actually had ppl stop & ask about it ‘looked like Glass) Cheaper then $34K to enclose it. Due to my age & elements, the fact ‘it is not glass’ & it’s texture holds the dirt in the air & from the street needs to be replaced every 5 -6 yrs. but since we had a Short Spring, Hot & rainy Summer & again ‘my age’, it just kept getting ‘put off’ this yr. I have a 10x30 porch w/a 5 ft dbl door (& top & Bottom openings for ventilation) I made, which I used Slats & screws to secure rather then grommets. This yr I purchased my Vinyl & left it on the ‘already covered’ porch which at times reached 100 degrees🥴 😵basically ‘don’t use it in the height of Summer for that reason. Sun is there from1st thing to 3:30 beats in & heats up. Excellent in Spring Fall & Winter. For now I’ve replaced the sides But Point…🥴 Plastic stored on the Porch ‘to be put up’ has rippled from the extreme heat’🥴 If I still hang it, can I use a Hair dryer to ‘pull out / Tighten the Ripples’? I hate that We spent all this $ & this happened. Only had it covered w/a cloth & thought it w/ help in pulling it (softer) When it came time to hang it. It’s a major job, taking off Curtain shears, top Shags, rope (I made to look like Window panes ev 12”. Primarily to help withstand the Winds when they come ie… So it didn’t ‘act as a Sail’ Fantastic w/ Hurricane Sandy😉👍) It literally is a ‘closed in room’ Wicker Porch furniture on 1 side & a Sofa & chair w/ table & bench on the other. Christmas lights (1 flick of switch & whole porch lites up) Plz respond / help answer Can this be ‘heated to shrink & tighten & still be usable Ie.. no ripples?…
