Made me cry (And it shut my Yankees loving Father up, he said after losing money on the '69 Braves that no Atlanta team would ever amount to anything!) I'm now 61years old and it's a very fond memory, Thanks Chipper!
This is awesome
My father is also a Yankee fan. I did not like the Yankees for years after the World Series faceoffs. Now I do not like the Astros.
My second favorite player in baseball history.
I loved this man as a kid and still do and now it's so fun getting to show my son these videos
Chipper was hosed on the rookie of the year
My parents sent me a photo of Chipper in the batters box at his last home game and I still have it saved to this day. Chip is a damn legend, we only ever went to 1 game but my pops made sure to see him at his last home game!
I got to see 1 braves game as a kid and they played the cardinals. I remember seeing him in person and it was awesome
10k views and only 4 comments. criminal. Bravos need to get their social marketing game up
I gotta say I got a little watery eyed watching this! They were awesome!!!!!
Braves are doing Great! Chop, chop!
I feel like he played almost without a conscience. It’s like he didn’t feel pressure
I remember as a kid I didn’t like chipper. Only because he batted before McGriff, and he was always clearing the bases before McGriff can bat and get some RBIs. Lol
Hideo Nomo, a pitcher, won rookie of the year. should have been Chipper
Chills
Nomo beat Chipper out for the rookie of the year in '95 didn't he?
War eagle
No. Nomo did. Even though he played 10+ years in Japan he was still considered a rookie.
@@erics2739 how did this turn out
One of the favs....
Wonder if he was on roids tho 🤦♂️not that it matters still a talented player
He never failed a test, and he spoke on multiple occasions on how he felt like he would have been devastated by how his family and others would react if he did cheat and they found out. He dealt with enough public image issues in Atlanta with his first divorce to not want another media circus.
