Johnny Lee Miller was a great Mr. Knightley; he did a particularly good job of conveying that you understood he was older, but also genuinely Emma's friend. Romola Garai was also amazing as Emma. Their chemistry was gentle and steadfast; love came first and then romance. Truly one of the best expressions of friendship leading to love
+GoldM90 Of course Darcy was my favorite growing up. But recently I found first Captain Wentworth was a better hero for me and now I've fallen completely for Mr Knightley and he's my favorite Austen and book hero. What a great guy
I watched this series recently and now I feel like I need to rewatch it because I missed all these moments that were supposed to be “obvious.” I remember noting it later but not a lot of these times. I guess I’d be one of those girls that these guys they’re singing about. Head in the clouds ☁️
You picked a great song and scenes. She doesn't see how he looks at her. Yes, it was all understated, but there were a few hints. The baby scene when he says she is a pretty woman but spoiled. The fire a bit too warm! Too heated, their argument and her inability to see that Frank and Jane are together. The house party scene when he tells her she's so at home she might as well be the lady of the house, when he remembers dancing with her and can imagine them dancing in the dancehall at his house. She's afraid he would scold her all the time, but she doesn't realize that energy will shift once she acts more grown up. The scene when he was going to kiss her hand but changed his mind. She almost jumped out of her skin!
Loved your song selection and editing on this video - actually aligning Mr Knightley's words with the song. You conveyed the emotion of their relationship beautifully. Nicely done.
Ooh this looks lovely! I haven't seen this version of Emma yet. I only own the ones with the girl from Split and the lady from Serendipity. I should check this one out.
Coz he's 16 years older, her older sister is his sister-in-law (making them in-laws), she has always known him as the older brother kind of neighbor, and she has always said that she would never marry, and her dad wasn't excited about her marrying at all. Nope. I can't blame Emma at all.

Jodi Galvano yup. Agree. This must be the best version of Emma yet
One of the best! Both are so beautiful and best fit for their roles! This is by far the best version of Emma
Love this version. 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Jonny is OUTSTANDING. 😍😘💋💋
this cast is so much better than the hollywood one
So perfect, just like Jonny Lee Miller as Knightley! ❤
A relationship based on deep friendship can and often blossoms into a really deep love for a lifetime
Definitely the best FMV for this version and this song EVER EVER EVER
What a lovely video. Perfect. Can't stop smiling. I've fallen completely inlove with these two
Thank you so much! Emma & Mr. Knightly has always been one of my favorite Austen couples too... :)

I love the thought that Knightley had been in love with Emma for years ❤

Yes, it is absolutely obvious, except to Emma.

Yep, that is why it wasn't obvious.
Women die like flies in those days from childbirth and so the father wasn’t keen on his daughter getting married and having children.
