He’s hella mature for the way he handled all of this. A lot of guys with his amount of talent are big headed. He stayed humble, was thankful for whatever team took the risk on him, went thru his rehab, found his place in the Nuggets system, and is now blossoming into a really good player on a team that is consistently contending.

He has to be the luckiest player in NBA history: Drops significantly in the draft due to injuries, doesn't play his first year, does okay his rookie season, then averages 19 ppg his sophomore season, somehow gets a max extension and financial security for the rest of his life right before injuries hit him again. Regardless what happens, dude got paid.

      @rebellion-starwars 2 года назад +2

Well, idk if you seen his contract? 12mil per y is garrantied, the rest is depending on many things but especially on the how many games he plays, or gets DPOY, AllStar, All NBA, MVP... championship + games played, so many things are added but bottom line is games played, he cant get into any selection without being present on the floor. The Nuggets GM is so smart!
Even with his health concerns he can be traded with that contract easily and still the nuggets will get a superstar in return.
The Joker will get his supermax this summer but the cap will go up tremendously season after bcs new TV rights contract so the nuggets will pay lux tax for only one season and all contracts signed before will look very cheap. Tim Connely, president of basketball operations is highly intelligent man.

    8: Cleveland, Colin Sexton
    9: NYK, Kevin Knox
    10: Philly, Mikal Bridges
    11: Charlotte, Shai
    12: LAC, Miles Bridges
    13: LAC, Jerome Robinson
    14: Denver, MPJ
The lottery was pretty solid this year. Besides Sacramento and the Knicks I feel like every team made a good choice. MPJ is going to be a problem in Luka’s era, I hope he stays with Denver who joins up with Trae since they dominated on MOKAN together.

The interesting part is he went to one of the only situations were he is still in the league. Many poor franchises would have ruined him instead of having the structure to be patient.

To me from this interview he seem like a good dude who may have been honest with teams. When he said he was in a little pain after the first workout and then the second workout he had pain made teams drop him on their draft boards, I don’t really blame the teams except the Clippers that pick could’ve lost people jobs.

For anyone saying their team messed up by not picking him missed the entire point of this vid. He himself wasn’t sure if he could fully recover from his injuries. He could barely walk and deal with the pain on draft night. I woulda have passed on him as well. It’s not like he proved the league wrong either he’s just starting to be fully healthy.

Kids dynamic on the offensive end, but need to put in major work on the defensive end, he’s long and looks to have good work ethic, so he does have the traits to be a great defender too
6,9 forwards that shoot like he can are very rare, Nuggets got a steal.

I got that same injury playing ball, it’s sciatica due to ruptured disc. It’s a swelling of the disc that is petruding to your sciatic nerve that you can feel on your butt and down the leg even with your big toe. It hurts like heck. You need surgery to snip that petruding disc. My doctor is the same doctor that did Joe Montana here in sf. Best doctor in the world cured me that same day!

When I first discovered MPJ in overtime I knew he is going to be a special talent.. Then he was gone, he was out of radar because of the injury.. When he got drafted, since I can't really follow every game of the Nuggets I have no clue that he was out of the season because of the injury I keep searching for any highlights and I can't find any video.. Now finally this guy is being recognized because of his talent.. I thought he's a complete Ben Simmons type of player..

Even with the injury, should have been top 4. Luka definitely going #1 on the re-draft and the rest depends on what a team needs between him, Trae and Ayton. Shai would even be up there
