man I had the same injury 5 years ago. The pain is unbearable... It is quite uncommon for young people so I didn't pay much attention to it. When I had the micro surgery, the moment the doctor took the bone off the nerve spot, I felt alive again. After that injury, whenever I sit longer than 30 minutes, I will get up and move around. I understand why he dropped to the end lottery since back injury can easily come back. MPJ is a great player and I believe he will have a strong and health NBA career
That injury gave him wisdom and gratefulness AS A ROOKIE. His natural talent and already playoffs experience will lead to a successful career, praying that no more injuries occur. I can see him a front runner for MIP this year, take himself to that next level, and get himself all star selection within this year or the next.

I got that same injury playing ball, it’s sciatica due to ruptured disc. It’s a swelling of the disc that is petruding to your sciatic nerve that you can feel on your butt and down the leg even with your big toe. It hurts like heck. You need surgery to snip that petruding disc. My doctor is the same doctor that did Joe Montana here in sf. Best doctor in the world cured me that same day!
When I first discovered MPJ in overtime I knew he is going to be a special talent.. Then he was gone, he was out of radar because of the injury.. When he got drafted, since I can't really follow every game of the Nuggets I have no clue that he was out of the season because of the injury I keep searching for any highlights and I can't find any video.. For anyone saying their team messed up by not picking him missed the entire point of this vid. He himself wasn’t sure if he could fully recover from his injuries. He could barely walk and deal with the pain on draft night. I woulda have passed on him as well. It’s not like he proved the league wrong either he’s just starting to be fully healthy.

I got that same injury playing ball, it’s sciatica due to ruptured disc. It’s a swelling of the disc that is petruding to your sciatic nerve that you can feel on your butt and down the leg even with your big toe. It hurts like heck. You need surgery to snip that petruding disc. My doctor is the same doctor that did Joe Montana here in sf. Best doctor in the world cured me that same day!
When I first discovered MPJ in overtime I knew he is going to be a special talent.. Then he was gone, he was out of radar because of the injury.. When he got drafted, since I can't really follow every game of the Nuggets I have no clue that he was out of the season because of the injury I keep searching for any highlights and I can't find any video.. Now finally this guy is being recognized because of his talent.. I thought he's a complete Ben Simmons type of player..
