Carrie herself wasn’t a target, given the current killing spree is motivated as vengeance for a prior prank that got someone killed. Her friends were likely targeted due to engaging in that same kind of prank responsible that kicked off the game’s murder spree. (Eugene was targeted for being the child of two deceased people affiliated with the prank. In general the planner was utterly vindictive and cruel, ignoring the pain caused to others and taking out their murderous desires on people whom didn’t even take part in the incident, as well being utterly cruel in their murders.)
Fun fact that not a lot of people know: There are even more hints to save Roller Ricky than Dawn sounding suspicious. First of all, and most obviously, there's no whistling in Dawn's phone call. The Whistling Man sure loves his whistling. Second, and more obscurely, in Dawn's phone call, there is a train mid-call. Then there's a dog howl and then disco music playing. Maxy greets every train with a howl, and everyone knows Roller Ricky is the only one who plays disco. This means she was trying to get into the rink, not the apartment. You may be thinking "Well what if the apartment is right next to the rink?". Look at the map in the radio office. Wood Side Apartment is nowhere near a train line. If she actually was trying to "get into her apartment", the train that blared would've been silent, if not, much quieter than it was.
Another even more OBVIOUS hint that Dawns story didn't check out is that, on the order form for the Starling 4000, it wasn't even INSTALLED at Wood Side yet. Forrest mentions this once you pick up the form.
@@memehunter2476 If only she had gotten her son Henry to whistle in the background (he has an identical whistle), then her story would've been at least somewhat believable. Thank goodness she didn't and Roller Ricky was the easiest to save. He's too good to die.

Yeah he was just forgotten about after Forrest finally wished the Whistling Man would get rid of him, would have been nice if Marie mentioned that as a possible reason why she thought Forrest would help her.
@@Bluestone775 Given that he nor his family was not directly involved in the incident, Henry would be the more likely suspect, Marie might have her reservations since Ponty wouldn't be aware of the whole situation

I was looking for someone to comment this 🤣 I started cracking up when after all that with Teddy, the ad picked was HIS. Just… *chefs kiss* beautiful irony lmfaooo
As heartless as it is to say, jimmy (i think) had it coming. He made fun of a day relating to a serial killer like peoples deaths are a joke and was scaring people on a night when a killer was on the loose like he was invincible.
I dont think someone being an asshole as a teenager means they deserve to die. Very little people deserve to die and I wouldn't say someone like that is one of them
@@homoerectos1110 considering the killer at the time was Marie ( the person who spared Carrie), she got so offended at Jimmy's prank since that's how George got killed. "It's just a prank bro" gone wrong.
She killed Jimmy cuz she got reminded of Teddy doing a "prank" that got her boyfriend killed Jimmy is at fault for being stupid and got himself killed for the "prank"
Spoiler alert: I think one of the reasons why the killer spared Carrie regardless of ending is because she remembered George being pranked in the same way years ago? Anyway Carrie is best girl.
I think you should probably not just put the spoiler alert and the spoilers in the same line.... But yeah, Carrie was probably spared because she was a victim of the type of prank that caused the killings at the same time Peggy better girl
Oh for sure, they actually go out of their way to save her since if she gets trapped under the car if you assign the wrong driver and it crashes, the killer will free her leg and then walk away. They were serious about sparing her.
Gotta say that was a hell of a game. I remember seeing this the first time and man what a change it went though. Props to the makers. And nice job saving everyone, I don't think I could do that
I found out about this game because of a friend and god do I love it. I love the storyline and all the unique characters. This is a textbook example of how not everything needs to be shown in order to be horror.
Ponty was hilarious. And it didn't take me too long to figure out Teddy was involved and was covering it up. And that epilouge, so history repeats itself. I have a feeling that we will see him again. The one thing I don't get is why Murphy was attacked. Wait, the garbage plant was owned by Teddy, ohhh he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time
He told Henry to come and fight him and told him where he will be at so he can kick his butt with some moves from Master Robbie (or at least try to). Dude had me crying😂

Thanks so much for the video!! I love a good suspenseful mystery and watched it all in one sitting this evening! It was wonderful experiencing it with no one talking over it and no mistakes, meaning the plot kept moving instead of someone going back to correct their errors. The story kept me on edge wondering what was coming next! I love the inspiration for when I one day write my own story! And it’s really nice getting something like this without it depending on showing gore or gross things, but keeping things intense and with a creepy atmosphere, even having you go outside at one point! The twists too! This was amazing to watch and I would love to see more games like it! Now I’ll probably watch some typical let’s plays and see how things go. Thanks again!
I was wondering who we were playing as in the prologue. That certainly makes sense due to Clive being implied to have died. Although now I’m wondering who we’re playing as in the epilogue?
@@Lizuma it makes sense, since the last thing we see is the Whistling Man, and Clive expects to be dead in his tape, since he looked to be the Gallows family fixer.
@@eyeofsauron1502 I had a stupid hunch that it either could be the police lady we talked to on the phone earlier or it could be either Henry or Marie (which is highly illogical tbh). Honestly, out of the two, which do you think was the one that got caught and which one jumped?
Yeah it's Clive If you pay really close attention you'll notice the mattress and gate where you find the record Dawn wants you to play and since Clive is the janitor who works at KFAM it'd make sense for him to be the one you're playing as in the prolouge (along with hin throwing away the bottle you have to throw away which makes sense for his job but is a big stretchL) You also see the whistling man outside the gate when you have to grab Dawn's record so i think Clive's murder is just a little bit before you grab that record
the story line of this game is just...SO AMAZING I hope they make a part two on this game everything is like "what" "wow" and "how" this game is just amazing!!
I think its hilarious how Marie's grand plan for revenge ended up with only two (maybe 3) dead (one not even linked to George), a blown up gas station and waste plant, and her kid getting arrested, all because of some disc jockey
It just came out so I don’t expect tons of people to be posting it,I’m glad I got into it early tho it’s such a cool game bro. Especially the design and graphics to it (I really love Forrest voice too) I was so shocked there was already a full gameplay too! Just came out 🎉
DAAAAAAAAAAAAmn, I just thought, Ricky says that Maxy loves the trains as they go by his apartment, and then when dawn calls, a train flashes past. That's super cool to me. How they let you know (Don't trust, this, person.)
And this came out from creators of Worms shooters and the Escapists. Team 17 are really well-versed in different genres. Albelt Dawn as killer got spoiled a bit stupidly from her side, as she said about how Peggy threw the record out of window. She couldn't have heard it since Peggy said it post-fact, after she hang up. So it either she was eavesdropping in the alley, or Henry was, and he told her afterwards
Actually, if you pay attention during that segment where Peggy talks about throwing the record out the window, they're still showing as ON AIR. So if Dawn was still listening to the radio station then she would've heard Peggy mention throwing it out the window after hanging up.
@@shaelynmartin1996 That actually clears so much up. I always wondered the first time I noticed this, "How the HELL do you know that? You weren't even in the area to hear that!"
I love the tone that plays when you save someone. It's much more subtle than the whistle of a doomed caller, but it seems like something that would play at the end of one of those campy B-movies when the killer is defeated. Which...fits this game, honestly.
This is amazing especially timing the ads super funny! Also JOHN IS A GODDAMN HERO reminded me of a few people Ive had the honor of knowing and i was fist pumping when he went into "work mode"
you know many simpathy Marie but objectively speaking she is even worse then Teddie. After her lover died, she: 1 Ruined the life of her child raising him into antisocial bloodlusted maniac 2 With his help kills 2 to 24 (Clive, Matthews and all people whos photos are at the end titles) people at minimum 3 Her grudge is so huge her kills are almost as good as random (Eugene case, prankster teens might have been more) also to add that she probably was planning it for around 20 years even waiting for a whistling night, just to spread more terror
Poor Eugene, Peggy, Murphy, and those kids, they had literally nothing to do with what happened but Marie was obsessed with her own catharsis so she'd kill anyone that wronged her, even their children just to feel like she was avenged or they picked a fight with her and her kid. And poor Henry, of course, they could've had a happy childhood but Marie cared about nothing but vengeance, not happiness or closure.
This was great to watch through. Thank you, but can I just say, I really appreciate that you kept the studio so clean XD I would also put away all the paper and tapes.
I HAD to watch someone get these calls right! I stopped watching two other playthroughs cause they frustrated me when they missed obvious choices 😭 thanks!!
I remember the beta for this and it's *completely* changed now! I just finished watching it all and I just say, what a riveting story! They definitely improved 20x over with the story. Truly a class of its own in suspenseful thriller story. I must say however it was pretty easy to see that Dawn was trying to break into the roller rink because while the S4000 could be anywhere, the "neighbor" is a male, has a dog, and is blasting music. All things Ricky mentions in his call to the station. Even without the chapters, it was pretty obvious. Other than that, and putting the pieces together myself before the game did, kept me entertained. Edit: speling
Agree. Also there are a lot of games if you make them in a Movie they are gonna come out as a best selling horror movies. Anyways as I'm a gamer and also have a gaming channel, I truly love this game and soon could play and record too.
I can see that working. I don't think we get a clear idea of who got captured & who escaped, so it could be Henry? Though I do have a feeling it was Marie who got away unless I missed something.
@@WanderingSorceressI saw someone say Marie was the one who fell off the cliff and her son was the one who was captured, but I don’t know how they knew this. Maybe because at the end the cop says Marie got away but the cops are closely pursuing her.
@@BananaWasTakenif you pay attention you can hear the cops arresting Henry right outside the station, while the cops on the phone tell that Marie ran away and is currently being chased, since whistling point is near the school she was likely the one who jumped.
That's what I was thinking! My idea, instead of Forrest trying to save everyone threw the radio, it's him who is trapped and needs to be saved by the radio (Like Peggy could be guiding him threw traps and such with the help of the towns folk while the cops try to locate where he his being kept.)
This is such a wonderful and unique horror game, saving people though the radio station when you can't see the situation but need to imagine it in your head since you can only hear it, it adds to the scary factor. And what a wonderful story, the vibes are absolutely amazing! I loved it, thanks for the walkthrough!
This game has easily become one of my comfort games, the art style, the amazing audio and voice work is astonishing. I love especially the characters, we don’t know anything about these characters when we dive in besides from Peggy asking the occasional question. just from the voice acting we can tell that Forrest obvious disdain for Gallows Creek, he isn’t the biggest fan of Peggy either but we feel them warm up to each other as the night goes on and we try to save more and more lives, we even eventually find comfort in the banter with her. All in all a beautifully done game

He also doesn't pay attention to the clues, talks through the dialogue, and spastically moves his mouse around so much it makes me motion sick. 😂 he did go back and save the people he lost in his new upload. But again, by brute forcing it, not actually paying attention lol.

Wow this game is so well written. Taking such an awesome premise and absolutely running with it for so many different scenarios and gradually building the tension with more and more pressure and twists all leads to that awesomely earned ending where your only chance is to stall while all control is stripped away from you.
Why do I want to see a bunch of comics showing how the all the characters go about their lives after the this story? We do have rough ideas of what they look like and they all have distinct personalities. We could see Forrest skating with Ricky while Peggy plays with Maxy. There would be funerals for Sheriff Mathews, Jimmy, and Clive. Murphy would take proper lessons in self defense so he can protect himself and his kid in the future. Virginia and Plunker would go out for casual drinks at a bar. Sandra and Forrest might even get together and have a relationship thanks to the slight flirting that was tossed between the two. Sandra would also do her best to get Forrest into jazz. I don't know. But these characters interacting with each other in a non horror setting sounds wholesome and is cool to think about the possibilities of each character surviving the experience.
This game reminds me of the movie Scream. There's two killers. They kill people in the town because of something in the past. All I need to figure out is who killed who, Henry or Dawn/Marie.
Henry was likely the one attacking Jason if you want to start mapping their movements. He didn’t have his knife when he was sitting in the studio. And attacked Murphy since he was taught to never walk from a fight.
@@zoeynightshade5550 I think Marie attacked Jason because the Whistling Man asked him something along the lines of "How does it feel to be stabbed for real?" and Marie saw Jason get faked stabbed during the prank
What a hidden gem this is! I found this game on PlayStation Access live stream recently and I wanted more. Thank you for this, such amazing game, this would definitely be one of my top games this year.
just finished the game and got the bad ending... the game was pretty fun tho took me some hours to beat it and i love the concept of it its just one of the MOST underrated horror games of all time
I noticed a few things, Sherrif Mathews, Leslie, Carrie and Jimmy aren't on the killers list of targets shown at the end of the game, what it could mean is that Carrie, Leslie, and Jimmy weren't the killers targets, Marie or henry killed him because he was orchestrating a prank similar to the one that George died in, and they reminded her of the people who got George killed, so they killed jimmy, but then why was Forrest on the list, he had nothing to do with the incident, I feel like Marie/Henry wanted to kill him last as a punishment for trying to save the victims. The second that I noticed is that we don't know who we play as in the epilogue, but I have a theory, since one was arrested and the other jumped into the river. it can't be the killers, it COULD Be, however, an investigator, Peggy, or Leslie investigating the killers hut.
They're not listed for gameplay reasons, not plot ones- the people on the list are the ones whose fates you control. The Sheriff and Jimmy will always die, and Leslie and Carrie will always survive.
You could take the audio from this game and with minimal editing turn it into a GREAT audio drama. The question really would be, you can't have a slasher situation without SOME deaths, so who among the potential victims would be best to die for the story? Due to probably them not wanting to record endless amounts of situational conversations, a lot of the deaths aren't acknowledged throughout the game. Martinez: It was Matthews who covered up George's death, hence why I think she was knocked out when he was murdered instead of killed, so her being killed after wouldn't make much sense. It seemed like the killer was more so making sure no police would be around to help rather then a vendetta against Martinez. Sandra: While she is 'involved' in George's death, most of what she adds is just that she saw the body in a different place, which is kind of implicated in the reports and Clive's notes Forest Finds so I don't think her surviving adds anything to the story. I think she could be a potential unfortunate victim. Virginia: I think would need to survive as she's pretty crucial to solving the mystery behind George's death. Maurice: Since there isn't a lot of evidence of the paper covering up George's death (only really Marie mentioning it to my knowledge) and Maurice doesn't really bring it up, I think Maurice could die without losing anything to the story, although his going back with his friends to find the killer gone helps set up that there's two killers. Murphy: isn't really involved in the plot with George, probably also why he was knocked out and was more so a unfortunate victim of them destroying the Gallows Disposal Facility and him living does add evidence to that there's two killers so I think he should live. Ernest is kind of hit or miss, him being targeted in general is explained with Marie targeting kids of those who were involved so it seems his survival isn't necessary to the story. Murder House Kids:....it's kind of uncertain if they are being targeted because they are pulling a Whistling Man prank or if the kids involved are kids of those Marie wants to target. Eh, It's kind of a toss up on if they need to live. It does seem unnecessary as Marie's primary focus is those involved directly or indirectly with George's death though. Roller Ricky: while he's a nice guy, him being killed would be a nice set up for Dawn being painted as the sole killer at the moment in the story as well as her being remorseless and a manipulator. It also shows that while she sees herself as 'justified' her plot is involving killing people who weren't really responsible. Eh, I think it would be ok for Ricky to live if then Chuck Brody gets killed. Chuck Brody: he doesn't add a lot of evidence so I think if you needed another 'body' he would be ideal. He was also the 2nd Whistling man when George was killed so it would seem like Marie would want to make SURE he's dead. Jason: Jason provides a lot of evidence regarding the first Whistling night and his situation is pretty harrowing so I think him living would be ideal. Teddy Gallows JR: While the guys is a jerk I think Forest figuring out where Marie is with him is a nice cap on the story so if he survives as a result, ah well what can you do. Peggy: Peggy only being targeted due to Marie's beef with her parents is kind of a relatively weak motive, only really compounding Marie's deteriorating mental state, so I think her dying doesn't add anything.
@@eliza_rad Hold on. At the end, it sounded like an officer knew the whistling man duo. Think that might be material for a sequel? Or maybe they'd bring back the original whistling man, following the local legend of Gallows Creek?
@@eliza_rad Glad you like it. Though I wonder... What drove the original whistling man to go psycho? He must have had some reason to become a serial killer, whether it was revenge, not-so-temporary insanity, etc.
Marrie's reason to killing everybody even though justifiable, is extremely PATHETIC, sure there’s probably no innocents but I don’t think killing people who was blackmailed into covering up doesn’t mean they deserve to die. But the only victim through out all of this…is her son she made him into a killer.
Hey let's not forget about Eugene and those kids like Jimmy. Eugene had the almost COSMIC misfortune of his parents being involved. And Jimmy, well Jimmy's case is more of a matter of natural selection than anything karma related. But, Marie was also out to kill HER OWN SISTER simply because HER OWN parents weren't around anymore.
Remember that Marie did not know the full picture, and could only see the cover-up and the subsequent betrayal of everyone turning their back on her when she had a child out of wedlock. It’s not pathetic in the slightest - tragic, sure, but nobody gave Marie ANY reason to believe in them. NOBODY spoke up. They were guilty, just not as guilty as Marie thought they were.

Good game but of course the final questions left over is which of the suspects was apprhended and which one jumped and if the jumper died when they did? Probebly answers that will be fulfilled if this game gets a sequel.
Marie was most likely to be the one that jumped and killed herself since Whistling Point is close to the school and Henry was the one who got caught since the police most likely surrounded the building. Plus if you think about it, Marie would want to be with George. Also it really didn't imply that the jumper died. The last thing said was that the suspect could not be found.

Haha, but i feel she would say more something Like"he was promoting on georges death" or like that
Yeah he was just forgotten about after Forrest finally wished the Whistling Man would get rid of him, would have been nice if Marie mentioned that as a possible reason why she thought Forrest would help her.

@Akane Kitaouji Absolutely true. After watching this I'm gonna play and upload it on my channel too ❤
The game is playing hide and seek💀
Anyone think that the opening tutorial was depicting Clive’s murder?
I was thinking so!
Yeah it's Clive
If you pay really close attention you'll notice the mattress and gate where you find the record Dawn wants you to play and since Clive is the janitor who works at KFAM it'd make sense for him to be the one you're playing as in the prolouge (along with hin throwing away the bottle you have to throw away which makes sense for his job but is a big stretchL)
You also see the whistling man outside the gate when you have to grab Dawn's record so i think Clive's murder is just a little bit before you grab that record
the story line of this game is just...SO AMAZING I hope they make a part two on this game everything is like "what" "wow" and "how" this game is just amazing!!
Small attention to details :D
This is not just a game. It's an awesome ASMR novel.
*Whiiiiii-ssstlllle-lllleee*
@@shaelynmartin1996 Hmm. Ok then, I just assumed they were not broadcasting them speaking at that moment
After her lover died, she:
1 Ruined the life of her child raising him into antisocial bloodlusted maniac
2 With his help kills 2 to 24 (Clive, Matthews and all people whos photos are at the end titles) people at minimum
3 Her grudge is so huge her kills are almost as good as random (Eugene case, prankster teens might have been more)
also to add that she probably was planning it for around 20 years even waiting for a whistling night, just to spread more terror
Yeap, as petty as they come, and she was still justifying her ways even on the thinnest strands.

All things Ricky mentions in his call to the station. Even without the chapters, it was pretty obvious. Other than that, and putting the pieces together myself before the game did, kept me entertained.

I think we could definitely see a sequel with Marie’s son coming for Forrest after ruining his mothers plans
@@BananaWasTaken Maybe that was a different ending?
Bro if I was a legendary killer getting stumped by a radio show host on the night of my death and return I would be livid
Thank you for uploading the game. Such a great story to experience.
This game reminds me of the movie Scream. There's two killers. They kill people in the town because of something in the past. All I need to figure out is who killed who, Henry or Dawn/Marie.
The name of the Radio Program is "The Scream", so the references are presumably intentional.
Henry was likely the one attacking Jason if you want to start mapping their movements. He didn’t have his knife when he was sitting in the studio. And attacked Murphy since he was taught to never walk from a fight.
@@zoeynightshade5550 I think Marie attacked Jason because the Whistling Man asked him something along the lines of "How does it feel to be stabbed for real?" and Marie saw Jason get faked stabbed during the prank

marie dying the same way george did... the poetry
That was a fun thrill, thanks for this run.
Omfg, the Spanish restaurant being named “Chalupa-Cabra’s” almost killed me.
I believe that Marie/ henry made the list after killing the Sherrif and Clive, which would explain why Clive and Sherrif Mathews wasn't listed.
In Clive’s basement, you can actually find a fake report by sheriff Matthews meaning he was in on it and had a reason to be killed
I think someone else made it,but forgot Matthew,Leslie, Clive and Jimmy
They're not listed for gameplay reasons, not plot ones- the people on the list are the ones whose fates you control. The Sheriff and Jimmy will always die, and Leslie and Carrie will always survive.
@@shadow81818 I know that...but still. it is something to think about, I guess
Ngl it wouldve been a great plot twist if Leslie was the second killer instead of Marie's son
This feels like an interactive radio drama, and it's expertly written.
you just made me love this game
I wonder if Peggy hates the song Marie kept asking for because it reminds her of her sister

I still hope Teddy got the punishment he must be given though, still not sure if she managed to kill him before cops came in...
@@onebear6504 he’s definitely alive Forrest stalled Marie long enough
@@michaelrhodes3285 argh, I had a feeling that was the case, f that guy. Also wow, didn't expect a reply from a months old comment so fast, thanks for the info~
@@SkeeBall_Gaming I know but that is why I brought up the mystery would be solved if the creator of this game does a sequel
@@blackdemonknight I really hope they do make a sequel tho
DLC at best
@@titanking8403 that too
I really loved watching people play this and I just loved the story and how Forrest pieced it together. I really hope another game like this is made! Honestly, I kind of hope that Henry and Dawn aka Marie survive..

I like how accurate the first aid they tell you to do is, its almost 1 to 1 for most basic first aid handbooks
