a fantastic weight from a fantastic athlete! just 17 yrs old, awesome form, just to think when i watched athlens in 04, this guy was just 13! and probably only lifting weights like me and now hes the olympic champion, what great work, an outstanding achivement, and you guys just get a grip and enjoy the lifting! :D Mike
@RandomStevie right but you have to consider that outside of a competition he is probably walking around with 10-12 pounds more than in a competition when he is likely severely drained (like boxers do) to make the weight class which weakens you and of course makes you lighter. still an amazing lift of course. he is the best.
@Actuallityy that's not right. The jerk is way more difficult than the clean. Only because you have cleaned it, it doesn't mean you are going to be able to jerk it. Most weightlifters that miss their lifts is because they miss the jerk after the clean. What you describe as "push it up a few inches, then bring your body under and stand up" is actually more complicated than that and requires loads of practice.
No, he has definitely been lifting weights much much longer than that. This is more weight than he did in the Olympics in Beijing, he's just that much better than everybody at the weight class.
this is strength, It makes me laugh you get big guys in the gym lifting this in a deadlift for 1 rep (at a push) and this guy nils a clean and jerk. Much respect.
@Nippon1971 And soon I'll be posting a 100 lbs dumbbell shoulder press video for reps. Now, does this mean I'm a bit strong ? Or I'm still not a man and they are ? Thanks for your reply....
hahah - seems we have misunderstanding here, when I say dwarf. I mean that the load looks alot bigger than him. I did not mean that weightlifting makes you small or short ;-) ...
i m not saying that they r drug free they might be or might not be drug free ......u just cant say Dimas ,Naim , Kakhilvilis were on Dope bcoz they lifted heavy ....they were never tested positive...Doping is other thing and tested positive is other thing ....
I own an explanation here for all viewers. People think I'm against weightlifting or something. I'm actually against anabolics, roids and things like that. I mean it is not rational to have an 70kg guy cleaning 200kg like a piece of cake !!! I did only a bit of olympic weightlifting in my life and I saw what roids could do as well as what happens when people stop them. Weight drops down 60% of their PR !! I mean I close grip incline 160kg WITHOUT not even supplaments.
@gorack12 Listen, I used to do olympic weightlifting friend. Back in 2002 I did only 1 year but due to my age I have no flexibility so I stop practicing it...So now I do weights. Incline CLOSE grip bench pres, shoulder dumbbell presses and front squats. Be able to snatch a lot or clean and jerk a lot doesn't make you a man by the way...and since you mention"with roids or not" trust me if these guys were not taking stuff the weight would be much much much lower.
@ronin0990 "Clearly" I'm a big guy huh? 69 kg lean mass for 6' of height + 15 kg fat, not exactly :) The iron cross and oly lifts certainly are impressive, but why make disparaging comments about less impressive pursuits? After all, they aren't in the gym to show off their training.
And yes, when people who don't know WTF they're doing stop taking steroids, they do tend to lose most of what they gained. Granted you're probably going to lose a little of what you gained on cycle, but if you're taking the necessary post-cycle therapy (and provided you were on a good cycle in the first place), it won't be anything major. If you're an idiot and you run a standalone cycle of D-Bol or Anadrol with no ancillaries or PCT (I've seen people do this) then yes, you'll lose everything.
It is perfectly rational, that's what neuromuscular training does to you. When this guy lifts something, his body is using almost every muscle fibre in his body to do so. When a non-elite weightlifter lifts something, their body is only engaging a very small portion of their muscle mass. Steroids help by speeding up the recovery of your muscles and CNS, which allows you to train harder and more frequently. They don't give you superhuman strength and are no substitute for hard work.
@MiG82au You have similar stats to me im 70kg not sure on fat weight tho but im always about 7%. at the end of the day mate everyone is allowed there own opinions and in my gym we have alot of dicks in it (regarding training) and i have seen alot of bigger guys try and intimidate smaller guys hence why i find this sort of thing more impressive than just lifting big weights (how ever i do have an appreciation for it) Peace
They never weigh that much more in training. Imagine losing 15% bodyweight (which going from 65 to 56 equates to) when your bodyfat percentage is probably not more than 10%. Not doable if you want to be able to lift anything afterwards. I would guess he weighs no more than 60kg.
@ronin0990 Presumably if you find that fact so funny, you're at least an advanced level lifter yourself? Should the big guys stop lifting because they're too weak to impress you?
@Nippon1971 How much would I lift if I was to get suplaments, roids and shit like that ?? My guess is at least another 100kg on the top of what I lift right now...That's all I had to say and please ke422azn try not to say things like "I guarantee you I can kick you're ass in real life" because you can't and won't kick my ass !!! Things can be said easy via screen and internet....
@Nippon1971 You must be one of these US patriots that got kicked their ass in Vietnam and not getting killed in Iraq thinking that war is a game like the fighting ring....So I guessed it right....Just bla bla bla and when tiem comes you run away !! CHICKEN !!!!!!!!!
the guy is full of roids a 56kg boy cannot do 170kg clean n jerk drug free get real people halil mutlu could only do 167.5kg and even he was full of drugs
Damn, if he did this during any 56kg competition, it would be a world record!
a fantastic weight from a fantastic athlete! just 17 yrs old, awesome form, just to think when i watched athlens in 04, this guy was just 13! and probably only lifting weights like me and now hes the olympic champion, what great work, an outstanding achivement, and you guys just get a grip and enjoy the lifting! :D
Mike
you know it's a good lift when the whole gym stops to watch you.
@RandomStevie
right but you have to consider that outside of a competition he is probably walking around with 10-12 pounds more than in a competition when he is likely severely drained (like boxers do) to make the weight class which weakens you and of course makes you lighter.
still an amazing lift of course. he is the best.
@Cescq13 its not "almost". 56*3 = 168, The weight on the bar is 170. If you are interested - i think only 7 people /in history managed to do that/
you can hear even before the weights drop, his coach asks him to do another set.
It entirely depends on the lifter. Some people struggle more with cleans then they do with the jerk.
No, he has definitely been lifting weights much much longer than that. This is more weight than he did in the Olympics in Beijing, he's just that much better than everybody at the weight class.
You shouldn't argue with this guy, his logic is infallible ;)
truly impressive
Jesus. I'll never get to where this guy is, but man, I gotta work harder. Watching this shit is inspiring.
this is strength, It makes me laugh you get big guys in the gym lifting this in a deadlift for 1 rep (at a push) and this guy nils a clean and jerk. Much respect.
awesome, really solid form
Absolutely insane lifting. I was honestly expecting to see this lifter do a heavy snatch pull... not a jerk.
how in the fuck did he pull that up he must have a back like a fucking wip WELL DONE BRO you have shown me up in every sense of the word lol
Well he finally did 170kg in Rio at 52kgs. Broke the WR for lift and total
At 56
When was the camp? It's not easy for someone that (my) size to drop that much weight in a few weeks without a sizable dip in performance.
ya He is Under56 for competition purpose but this was done at the camp so probably he was overweight by 3-4kgs
havnt you ever heard of droppin down a couple of kg before a comp.his training weight is probably about 61 kg
fucking incredible!
they should send this into space as far as possible so aliens know not to mess with us !
he isnt weighing under 60kg here , no way, its training not competition, he competes at 56kg
i want to cry.
DAMN BRA - i thought he was going to do a deadlift lol
amazing.
i was like, nice deadlift....wait he cleaned it....oh shit he jerked it too!!!!!
i love it when theres comments with people talking about fighting each other. sooooooo funny. its like they forgot about the video lol
damn that's some impressive C&J and I bet those girls sitting over there can make me feel like a total noob in gym lol
@Nippon1971 And soon I'll be posting a 100 lbs dumbbell shoulder press video for reps. Now, does this mean I'm a bit strong ? Or I'm still not a man and they are ? Thanks for your reply....
jesus, the weights dwarfs him ridiculously
This isn't competition weight, he probably weighs aroung 65 kg in the video.
This guy only weighs 56 kgs?! Unbelievable!
Chainese people are just outstanding i just cant belive he lifts that much
You sure he's 56? If so, if he can do the same at a recognised event he's got a world record
true strength is in olympic lifters!!!!!!
The guy clean and jerks what I deadlift and I'm over 200 pounds.
hahah - seems we have misunderstanding here, when I say dwarf. I mean that the load looks alot bigger than him. I did not mean that weightlifting makes you small or short ;-) ...
he's taking something that make him strong.. He can't be natural!
i m not saying that they r drug free they might be or might not be drug free ......u just cant say Dimas ,Naim , Kakhilvilis were on Dope bcoz they lifted heavy ....they were never tested positive...Doping is other thing and tested positive is other thing ....
y you has so many plates?
How in the name of Mao?
Oh snap...
原来08年就举过170的说 说训练中从没举过170太扯了吧
I own an explanation here for all viewers. People think I'm against weightlifting or something. I'm actually against anabolics, roids and things like that. whenever i make a comment its always a poor one apparently, even if its answering a question im like wtf
@gorack12 Listen, I used to do olympic weightlifting friend. Back in 2002 I did only 1 year but due to my age I have no flexibility so I stop practicing it...So now I do weights. @ronin0990 "Clearly" I'm a big guy huh? 69 kg lean mass for 6' of height + 15 kg fat, not exactly :)
The iron cross and oly lifts certainly are impressive, but why make disparaging comments about less impressive pursuits? After all, they aren't in the gym to show off their training.
WOWWWW. I can only clean my own weight, which is 135lbs, let alone press it up like that....
and by snatch i mean clean
mierda con ese peso corporal eso es increible
lmao i thought it was gonna be a deadlift
@ironhawaiian he competes at that weight

Lol whats up with the 2 haters that dislike this?
holy fuck. i though he was just deadlifting.....
Ridiculous... this guy clean and jerks more than I can squat and I weigh 160.
he aint 56kg here
but he'd have to get it in a proper comp too
@MiG82au You have similar stats to me im 70kg not sure on fat weight tho but im always about 7%.

and only 19 years old..
fuck me.... thats more then 3 times his body weight.

oops lol sorry for the poor comment
@ronin0990 Presumably if you find that fact so funny, you're at least an advanced level lifter yourself? Should the big guys stop lifting because they're too weak to impress you?
