Honestly, as someone who's been a fan of Spyro since the first trilogy but still likes him in Skylanders, I can respect your take on him. My only real gripe with the Skylanders version is that, if you ever read the manuals or character bios about him, they specify that his unique power of being a rare Purple Dragon is that he can harness ALL of the elements (which is why he's a magic element) but prefers fire for his breath attacks. I've always felt that this was a massive waste of potential and would've been more than worth losing his flight over. I don't think that having a entirely different moveset for all the elements which could be switched between on a single button would've been the right play, but literally anything that even hinted to his severely untapped potential (in gameplay) would be better than another usless flying move.

Thanks for the honesty, its a shame his third attack only offered flight. Buy magic dies suit him well, and besides Flashwing's purple gems, he continues to be a completely unique purple dragon. 😀

@@Igknightthefire indeed. Again, I think that, as he is he's pretty faithful to the original Spyro while also incorporating a few original things that make him unique amongst his other two selves. It just feels like he was meant to be more than what he is and you'd think he'd be if you read his character bios before you got him. It just has the same energy of the meme format of "When you fight the final boss vs When you unlock him as a playable character", you know?

This is a fantastic Video but.. I'm calling you out on several points about Close Combat Skylanders like.. Terrafin, Chop Chop, Slam Bam ect.. You say that they're too slow with their punch attacks.. when in all honesty they are only slightly slowly then Igniter, Chop Chop, Stealth Elf, ect.. As well as the fact that you say Chop Chops moveset is generic, and I would like to point out that you can say the exact same for Igniter, Stealth Elf ect.. Whos movesets can also be a little generic at times, and he also has to get up close to attack enemies just like Terrafin, Slam Bam ect.. I am sorry for calling you out on this.. I highly respect your opinion. I just felt that some of these negatives were a little lame. Once again I highly respect your opinion, and this was a fantastic Video👍

Thanks for the kind words. When you're talking about skylanders for 3hours straight unscripted sometimes it's hard to come up with more exciting negatives. Alot of the time the ranking is simply just personal. I feel certain ways about some skylanders and not that way about others. I don't expect others to feel that same way, because that feeling is mine, and therefore inherently unique to me. Terms like that are shortcuts and easy justifications, as well as an excuses to put the skylanders where they are on the ranking list. It's why I make such a point about it being MY personal list and not it being somebody else's, as we're all unique. This wasn't an attack on you or anything, your points are very good actually, and I agree that this video isn't perfect, but a video with a large setup and ambitious project such as this one is bound to have a few downsides. 😀

Thumpback is legitimately great, use the anchor path and you unlock a lot of potential with him especially with the whirl pool. If you want to deal with enemies that come up close use the soul gem attack during the slide as you will get away and the AOE attack will deal steady damage to crowds. His range and mobility during combat makes him easily one of the best giants, which is why he’s beloved

All I am going to say is that Rattle Shake's soul gem is the best armor soul gem. I just did my own personal swaped lock on nightmare mode and the amount of extra hits that you can get from playing as one of his halves in higher difficulties is life saving. It can double the amount of hits that you can take at times if you play it right because after getting hit you do have to wait for the purple skin to grow back, adding some depth to the armor soul gem that we see so often. Also respect your opinions and at the end of the day this is your list and if anyone wants to complain about placement they can make their own. P.S. Slam Bam will always be my personal favorite but not my list so I again still respect your placement

Amazing video! This must have taken so much time to put together. My 2 favorites made your top ten! (Flashwing and Double Trouble) Note: I think Skylander figures from earlier sets should get a bonus in your ranking system just because they can get more gameplay throughout the series. For example, an amazing OP figure released at the end (Imaginators) is not as good as a really good (but not OP) figure from Spyro's Adventure because it only potentially sees gameplay in one game.

Slobber tooth personally has a very fun moveset once you get used to it. Attacking should always be standard headswipes mixed in with the charged attack to keep enemies stunned and if there are enough enemies around you do a tail slam gor a nice chunk of aoe damage. Also after swap force in trap team his earthquake ability in his bottom path can hit all of the rock projectiles if you do it on top of someone. You can get some ridiculous damage numbers from that. This is my little rant for my favorite dont mind me😭

Yeh, upon replaying the character, its a useful and pretty cool tool. But to turn an enemy to stone in 2 steps, instead there are far more useful and fast-paced abilities from other swappers imo. :)

Crash has some odd opinions, I agree with him however that Flip Wreck is a great Skylander, I personally am good at knight Skylanders such as Chop Chop, Blastertron, Ignitor, and Krypt King. I really like his flow as well and how op he is in Trap Team Nightmare Mode compared to most of the other cores except for Fling Kong who is better.

I don't know if I should complain about the 113 spot for blast zone (my favorite skylander ever) or for that orrendously low spot for thumpback, near the last one... And the list goes on with drill Sergent, bash, Grimm creeper and chill for example
Even if blast zone design seems generic, his ring of fire is perfect for a coop game, it makes the coop experience so much funnier that it justifies its inclusion in the starter pack

I feel that every ranking video I see underestimates warnado. If you upgrade him to get his mini turtle shells, you can dish out immense amount of damage while also keeping away from enemies with his dash spin. When I was younger warnado would carry me through our skylanfers battle tournaments. I was always sad he didn’t get a second edition statue.

I think every character just performs differently on different games. Cynder sucks in ssa but is insane in giants. Scratch is stupid op in swap force but isnt nearly as good in trap team. So a list of all of them is a little obsolete imo (unless you're only ranking based on design). The most powerful I've ever felt with a Skylanders is probably hood sickle in imaginators because he just shreds.

I'm at 148 and gotta add some notes from me personally
I love wrecking ball not because he's insanely good but more so because he can create scenarios where he has the durability from eating enemys and the crowd control to wipe out entire hoards if played well
Crusher is certainly not a bad skylander but to me one of the funnest to just mess around with and send enemys all over the place with the 3rd attack and then just chuck the hammer at them
Thumpback is way more of a guilty pleasure with how well he works when it comes to being fun rather than effictive in my opinion
Wildfire vs Kaboom is something I am on the less popular opinion on aswell because I love Kaboom and am not a huge fan of wildfire something about ricochet cannonballs just makes my brain happy

I definetly can see alot of these opinions and respect all the placements seeing as how despite some skylanders being pretty low down who I love I can see your points and I just looked past theme because for example wrecking ball for me is just simple yet fun my top 10 would look something like this 1 per element because thats how I normally operate
10.Thunderbolt he's alway close together with Wild Storm yet I find him more fun thanks to nostalgia
9.Grave Clobber another case of nostalgia plus a very fun moveset in my opinion
8.Starcast as of now I only have 2 dark skylanders him and Knight Mare Nightfall I'm waiting for delivery on but Starcast has always been a nice fallback on character for me
7. Bushwhack I really have alot of nostalgia relating to him and remember alot of context behind me getting him overall he's really fun and just the combos alone make him my favorite life skylander
6.Crusher he is always changing with Tri Tip and Wallop as those 3 I all love for similar reasons the have a fun to use primary attack and also great second and third attacks to just use for fun at random
5.Drill Sergeant not having him be my favorite tech skylander would feel illegal because despite my first game being giants he's what introduced me to skylanders and I overall find playing him fun and relaxing honestly just wish he did more damage
4.Ignitor I feel like I shouldn't have to explain why he's my favorite fire he's generally just really fun and overall just one of my favorite characters
3. Enigma the only reason he isn't number 2 is because I don't have as much nostalgia compared to number 2 and 1 he is genuinally one of the most fun characters in the series to me with his simple yet fun gameplay of dodging around enemies and then smiting them with whatever attack you please
2. Knight Light nostalgia has made his spot in the top 2 guranteed and I have no regrets about it seeing as how he always just is a really fun skylander to combo his attacks together with
1. Short Cut I remember vividly getting him Thunderbolt and Tuff Luck all together and he was always the one I wanted the most all these years later his attacks are still really fun and powerful and I love everything about him

On paper, night shift (mainly shift) is the most op skylander in the whole game. Just give 2 extra lives is broken especially when combined with a broken top half like magna. But objectively the best is kryp king

Hoot Loop is at #124 at 50 minutes into the video (just after Aurora). I can ensure you every skylander is on here, but given its 3 hours long and there are 167 of them, its very hard to track down specific characters. I do apologise in advance if you disagree with my placement, I do honestly see the appeal about the character, to me personally there are just better characters is all. ;)

my biggest criticism here is that your legendary ignitor hasn't finished all heroic challenges
the super mega slam did 80 damage +40
and when you get a crit it did 120 +61
so 120 regular damage and 181 for the crit damage..
if you had at least elemental power 100, it would be 80 +80, and crit 120 +120
so 160 regular damage and 240 for the crit damage..
and I'm pretty sure Ignitor has more than 100 elemental power, which can further be increased by the wizard hat's +25 elemental power boost

fully maxing out ignitor and other skylanders makes them really fun to play, although, playing the same heroics over and over again is annoying, so, I'd recommend using skyreader to instantly get all 32 ssa heroics instantly, it even works for giants, swap-force, trap-team, and superchargers skylanders
(don't use it for anything from imaginators though)
and, of course, make sure you have ownership of a skylander, since it can turn a skylander who has 80 elemental power into one with 115, a +35 increase
(as for sunburn, you can fix his pheonix dash by not buying his soul gem ability, besides that, he has massive dps, one of the strongest skylanders, more than 2 times stronger than drobot's laser path, he's pretty fun)

Series 2 Chop Chop becomes a literal GOD if you upgrade him correctly... let me show you how:
Chop Chop series 2: shield path makes him invulnerable to any damage from the front while using the shield and his wow pow let's him use that shield while moving around at incredible speed while hitting with his shield makes enemies unable to attack you... also his shield absorbs damage and shoots it back at the enemies... people who use his swords just don't understand how broken s2 Chop chop really is...
Your judgment of chop chop is fair for the series 1 and 3 chop chop but the series 2 on shield path definitely deserved better... you should try it 😉
